Did breastfeeding give you saggy boobs

Exactly as asked, did breastfeeding give you saggy boobs?. I am on my third pregnancy and only fed my other two for up to eight weeks. My boobs are still pert and where they are meant to be lol. Want to breastfeed for longer this time but just wanted opinions from those who did feed for longer ? I've seen lots of people blame it on pregnancy that gave them the saggy boobs but if that was the case we'd all be saggy. I believe it's the breastfeeding, inflating, deflating over and over, using up fat stores etc 💁

Yup.
That and age.
Can't say I care tbh.
Keeps my toes warm. 😁😁

DramaAlpaca · 06/09/2020 13:52

I breastfed my three (years ago now) for between four and nine months and mine are fine. They are fuller and softer, but not saggy.

Mominatrix · 06/09/2020 13:53

No. Fed one for 6 months and the other for 18. Still pert and even go braless without any discomfort despite just going over the 50 mark.

Wallabyone · 06/09/2020 13:53

I've breastfed three times, for 18m, 2.5 yrs and still going with the third at 2. My boobs are ok, not as plump as they once were but none of me is like it once was.

Sandytoes86 · 06/09/2020 13:54

Not saggy but much smaller after breastfeeding 2 dc

Katinthedoghouse · 06/09/2020 13:55

I fed for over 5 years and my boobs are not saggy at all, I fact I’ve been asked if I’d had a boob job Hmm

They’ve definitely got bigger tho From a b to a c cup but I’m blaming that on the menopause

allfurcoatnoknickers · 06/09/2020 13:57

No. Bread fed one baby for 6 months. Boobs looks AWFUL when I finished, but about 6 weeks later they bounced back and now look about the same as before. Maybe marginally more sag? Nothing notable though.

VirginiaWolverine · 06/09/2020 13:58

No. I mean, they are saggier than they used to be because I'm in my mid forties, but pretty much all the inflating/deflating stuff happens in the first 12 weeks and then they just adjust and stay mostly the same. I breastfed both of mine for literally years and the big breast changes were in pregnancy and the first few weeks of breastfeeding.

I'm currently overweight, though, and suspect that losing weight will lead to some major sagging :(

TitsOutForHarambe · 06/09/2020 14:04

It definitely did not make mine saggy - I know this for sure because I was only able to feed out of one side. I fed for over a year. There is no difference between my boobs.

Perro · 06/09/2020 14:06

No, still in remarkably good shape after bf two babies for over months each. A bit softer but still pert!

Herja · 06/09/2020 14:10

No, but going from a b to a g cup and then back to an e now (this was due to pg rather than feeding) has left stretchmarks. Still pert though and happy without a bra in most clothes. I breastfed until 18 months both times.

Hardbackwriter · 06/09/2020 14:10

No. Though they took about three months to go back after I finished breastfeeding (which I did for nine months) so there was a period where I thought it had, but nope.

This -
I've seen lots of people blame it on pregnancy that gave them the saggy boobs but if that was the case we'd all be saggy.

  • doesn't logically follow. I mean, I didn't get stretch marks but that doesn't mean they can't possibly come from pregnancy because then we'd all get them. Some people's breasts sag after pregnancy, some people breastfeed; those things are not necessarily related. And the only time your breasts get really swollen and change shape is in the early weeks (the bit you did) so it doesn't make logical sense to me that it would be breastfeeding later on, which involves much less dramatic changes in the breasts, that would make a difference.
DoveGreylove · 06/09/2020 14:13

Yes
They are no deflated sacks and I'm sad. Breastfed for 13 months

chubbyhotchoc · 06/09/2020 14:20

Yes. I breast fed and pumped from one side ( long story) for about three months. That boob was so deflated and dropped compared to the untouched one. I had a lift on one side in the end.

Hardbackwriter · 06/09/2020 14:22

Mine did go up a cup size but I have no idea if that was just the result of pregnancy rather than breastfeeding (it wasn't weight gain because, in a rather unexpected bonus, I weighed the least I have as an adult after breastfeeding because all the pregnancy weight and more fell off me) - and that's the thing, no one who breastfed knows what their breasts would look like if they'd not done so but had gone through pregnancy, so if they have sagged you can't know why.

Elwynne · 06/09/2020 14:49

Yes definitely a bit deflated and saggy with much bigger nipples - oh well I dont anticipate a stripping career anytime soon Wink

zafferana · 06/09/2020 14:51

Only temporarily OP. I BF both of mine for approx. 2 years and when I was done each time my breasts were really sad looking, but within a couple of years they perked back up and now (mid-40s) they look pretty damn good!

minipie · 06/09/2020 14:53

No. I BF for 1 yr with each of two DC and I’m 40 and they’re not saggy. Helps that they are small to medium size not huge. As a PP said all the inflating deflating happens in the first few weeks only.

Runnerduck34 · 06/09/2020 15:20

Tbh, i think for me bf did make them a bit saggier, less full and pert, 4 dc bf each dc for about a year. Nipples are definitely on a downward trajectory but i think age also plays a part.
On the other hand i didnt get the stretch marks some of my friends did, i think everyones body responds a bit differently.
Ultimately you have to weigh up breastfeeding against the potential cost to boobs and decide if its worth it!

user1471448556 · 06/09/2020 15:23

Breast fed both of mine for two years. They were a bit deflated for a few months after stopping, but seemed to rejuvenate after that - but I am a cup size smaller than I was pre kids.

Nonamesavail · 06/09/2020 15:24

yes

bobisbored · 06/09/2020 16:04

Pregnancy ruined mine. I went from a c cup to a h. I don't think BF made any difference.

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 06/09/2020 16:14

No, they were big and are now bigger but not saggy. Permanently poky nipples now though.

ElGuardiandenoche · 06/09/2020 18:07

Nope, no saggy boobs here. Breastfed three DC for 6ish years. It’s only now that I’m 55 that I’m noticing a slight descent south.

lamacorn · 06/09/2020 18:19

A bit but peri menopause was way worse for sagging! 👎🏻 sorry!
