Numbness after c section

II had twins via EMCS 8 and a half weeks ago, and since then I have had numb skin above my scar.

The scar itself still has sensation, but a 2 inch strip of skin running above the scar has absolutely no feeling whatsoever and it really bothers me- I hate the feeling (or lack of!).
Midwife just shrugged it off and said feeling should come back at some point.

I was wondering about other people's experiences with it. Did you have numb skin after your c section? How long did it take for you to get feeling back, if at all?

It definitely came back at some point for me but I couldn't say when. I remember around 9m though and wondering if it would go away and I'm 2y pp now, so it happened some time between then

Sorry to hijack the thread I'm 6 months PP and have the numbness but also like a solid ball above does anyone else have that? Like gristle.. also my stomach hasn't felt 100% since labour (wind constantly, constipation, belly aches) does anyone else feel the same? X

Me to. Almost six years. Weird feeling. A bit like running your finger over that bit above your hip when it makes your tummy go weird.

Agree with others. 15 years since my emergency section and I'm still numb above my scar.

10 weeks in and still numb, my mums 36 years in and still numb so I'm not expecting feeling back any time soon or ever 😂

4 years ago, got the feeling back within thr first year. I did massage my scar everyday , don't know if that made a difference but it's worth a go.
