EBF - when did your period come back?

Hi,

I am EBF my 4.5m old and wondering when my period will come back.

Did you period come back before or after you stopped breastfeeding? If after, how long after you stopped breastfeeding was it?

18 months both times which coincided with a reduction in night feeds.

Still breastfeeding my almost 2yo and period came back at 7 months, after starting solids

9 weeks post partum oh well!!

14 months and 9 months respectively and I was feeding both times.

It didn't, I got pregnant again when DS1 was 3 months old and I was still ebfing. Be warned.

came back when dd was around 8 months old, which was about 2 months after i stopped breast feeding.

13 months, I was still feeding and fed till 2 years.

Mine has just come back today!! My baby is almost 8 months but frequency of feeds has reduced since starting solids. I'm still feeding at night though.

8 weeks after having DS. 13 months before we stopped bfing 😑

DD went off the boob at 6 months and I was unaware I then conceived DS3 as I didnt have a period.
DS3 it came back the month he turned 1.

Not yet at nearly 9 months.

Still waiting at over 8 months...

I fed for over a year but period returned at 9 months. Dd was still feeding overnight at that point but day time feeds were infrequent.

At 9 months with my first. They started solids at 6mths. They also stopped breast feeding at 9mo when my period returned. Maybe my milk tasted different? Tried and tried to persist but they were not having a bar of it, complete screaming and breast refusal over a prolonged period. Was very odd. They wouldn’t take it from a bottle either.

Don’t remember others, only my first due to them refusing to feed once period returned.

9 months with both of mine - was still feeding my eldest by then but less often, had stopped with youngest.

Dd at 18 months, 4 weeks after I finished night weaning her (incase you're wondering, no she didn't start sleeping through! ). Ds at 15 months, he was doing some longer days at nursery and occasionaly slept for 6-7 hours in one go over night.

I had 13 glorious months afterwards before mine returned. EBF and fed until he self weaned at 21 months.

6 weeks 

Bang in 4 weeks both times, despite EBF.

Still waiting at 8 months. It's brilliant!

11 months, coincided with going back to work so reduced feeding

5 weeks.
4 months.

Feeding seemed to have very little effect on my cycle

About six months in when I started weaning. Was camping at the time with no supplies. Not pleasant. Fed for over a year though.
