Sunburnt her face

Please do not slate me as I feel horrific as it is. We went out with our little one (6 weeks old) yesterday afternoon, she was in the pram with the hood up, it was cloudy but the sun kept peeking out, it wasn't until we got home I noticed her red cheeks, I put wet cotton wool pads on her to cool her down, she's not been phased one bit by it. When we've got up this morning I've noticed tiny blisters on her cheeks, what the hell do I do? Can I put baby lotion on her? Or carry on with cotton wool pads?
My poor little girl, I can't believe what a tool I've been :-(

That's what scares me, I've heard they can overheat under them. But obviously now I'm going to be doubly over cautious.
Thanks again everyone for your kindness and reassurance ☺️

We had a massive three wheeler buggy. Would lie it flat so it was open at the back. Unzip cover when possible. With hood up it doesn't need to be totally zipped up all the time. Park in shade too!

We had one of these . It was a while ago but I seem to remember it was mesh so didn't get Google inside.

. I don't know what you mean regarding I tried to cover it up?? I tried to soothe her cheeks not cover up what had happened. Don't insinuate I'm not bothered about her, I sought advice from this website, i took the advice and got medical help, don't you think I feel bad enough about what happened without getting criticised for asking about the safety of these said shades, but thanks for your comments,

Covering it up Felix? She tried treating it while seeking advice.

Why do people have to be so nasty?? If you've got nothing positive to say then don't comment! Angry
OP I hope she's ok and I'm sure your not the first that this has happened to. We all make mistakes and learn from them. It's only after when we think why didn't I think about that?! Don't worry and ignore the nasty comments x

FFS, Felix. Are you so inadequate or suffering from low esteem that you need to say something like that?
