qod don't worry about having irregular cycle. no way mine is (only had 2 AFs since Oct 07). they'll double check date during your scans

cyteen sorry to hear appt not good. please book an appt to see a different doc. chane surgeries if you need to.

GladioliBuckets · 28/04/2010 13:46

Ah Cyteen what a wanker. Better phone up for another appt with someone else then. And have a look at the flying lawnmower on my FB profile to cheer you up for a mo.

Somebody pat me on the head, I've just cleaned my bathroom for the first time in months. Still haven't hoovered in it, mind (or lain the lino we bought 18m ago.) Actually, you don't need to pat me on the head because DH will be so he will kiss me. Although I get better results if I actually clean in front of him, seems to really excite him.

cyteen · 28/04/2010 13:54

I'm done with GP appointments for head stuff, tbh. It's not worth the cost to myself (pain, humiliation, anger) to try and find the one person in a thousand that will actually give a shit. I shall just put myself on the waiting list for NHS counselling (a few weeks, according to Dr Twatface - receptionists say I'm looking at end of July minimum ) and consider private options.

Sazz - good to see you back. Do you need anything for the DDs? or you?

Cyteen - Some Docs are just crap - I hope you manage to get to the top of the list pretty sharpish.

QOD - Pleased Seb got what he needed and you have some dates, I wouldn't worry about the dates until you have had a scan. When do you see the MW?

Dizzy - I shared with my sister or brother most of my childhood and even on one occasions with 3 brothers and a sister as we moved countries and they messed up accommodation and we ended up in a 2 bedroom villa I also went ot boarding school where we were 4 in a bay 16 in a dorm.

DD went for a nap at 12 and I joined her after the nursery furniture was delivered at 1.15 - we woke at 3 and that was a struggle - I thought my watch said 1.55 so was shushing DD back to sleep then I looked at the bedside clock and it said 2.55 so I had to poke DD - 3 hour nap is unheard of. I hope she sleeps tonight!

dizzydixies · 28/04/2010 15:33

wait a fecking month?!?!!? the insurance company obviously know how quickly the sodding frenchy polis work then what a shit about the girls stuff though - what size of shoe is E, we have a lovely pair of shoes that bigfoot D can't get into and they're a size 4 will pop them in the post as soon as you say the word.

keeping with the sharing, went in to tuck them all in before I went to bed last night (my lot ALL sleep like electric eels) and L stirred. I said night night, I love you when she whispered 'I love you too' looked round me to check that E was there and then went back to sleep

today has consisted of ASDA/ cancelling with the lovely lovely ladies in the gym, Matalan and then lunch and afternoon with lovely friend and her wee boy lasagne made for tea and D napping so although not sunny tis dry and all is well

sazz all of mine have high insteps too so you're welcome to give them a whirl to see if they suit? PO closed for half day today but will get DH to post them tomorrow

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/04/2010 16:20

Sazz - I also have a pair of 4's which fit DD with her high instep - you are more than welcome to them - they are greeny blue lace ups in a 4F or G. Otherwise they will just head for the charidee shop.

I have just spent 40mins trying to figure out why everything feels all fuzzy post our nap - I forgot to put my glasses back on when I woke up

dizzydixies · 28/04/2010 16:30

just another reason we love you Oops !!!!

You've just reminded me I need to properly register our too expensive posho bank account to activate the travel insurance.

LOL at forgetting one is half blind Oops.

TwilightSurfer · 28/04/2010 17:27

Sazzles (((hug)))

Cyteen (((hug)))

Oops I really want your nap!

Thanks for comments. I've printed the invites and may take them to school for delivery today. I'm a pretty high profile mom (seeing that i'm the classroom mom) so I think all will be okay with the wording. DH was more concerned people would mistake the party for a birthday gathering. Clarified that with JUST FOR FUN BASH, END OF YEAR SPLASH. School year of course. It is a public pool with one lifeguard on duty just for us up to 25 kids....another lifeguard and more money required for more kids. I'll stop worrying and see who actually RSVPs. It's only 2 weeks. Maybe most already have plans.

was about to offer an old pair of DS's shoes to you sazz but looks like you're sorted. let me know if they're any good... can't even remember what size they are, probably a 5 though so possibly too big. I don't think DS's feet have ever been in a 4!

oops i had a similar moment the other day re fuzziness. Except mine was because i was wearing my glasses and my contact lenses!!

i've had such a lovely afternoon with DS. we've been pottering round the garden. my original plan was that he was going to hand me wet clothes from the basket so i didn't have to bend over. this didn't go quite as well as i thought it would... i ended up with him shovelling mud into the basket and most of my pegs are now in two halves! But, after that, i put down a bit of tarp (we've got no grass, just mud out there at the moment) and we read a few books, played with his cars and then had a bit of a kick of his ball. was really lovely

pil coming to visit in 10days
essentially fil is going to be laying a new lawn for us with DH. that leaves mil unentertained
does anyone need me to visit them next weekend???!
also, DH wants them to look after DS while i'm at work on the monday but i'm not sure. fil has no common sense with him and i don't think mil has got the stamina to last all day (or the ability to get him to nap)
so am i being silly or should i trust my instinct? i have suggested a compromise of my mum popping round here at lunchtime which would mean they're only doing half a day. still not sure i'm completely happy with it though

ooooops, just a quick message in case you are not having a baby right at the moment.

Have you seen this thread here?

I was posting about my questions with schools (still thinking about nursery, DH does not make decisions quickly so we are researching, which is in fact a nice project)

sorry not to catch up

love to everyone

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/04/2010 18:43

LWFH - thanks for that have just responded.

Am about to lose all patience with DH he went into my car to get a bag of shopping and has taken upon himself to throw things out that he thinks I don't need or use Next time I am out and DD demands a certain toy or book/wooden spoon to play drums in the car/sprecific cup and it isn't there I will murder him.

dizzydixies · 28/04/2010 18:55

maybe he thinks he is helping?

oopsandbabycoconut · 28/04/2010 19:55

Yes he does think he's helping but he just randomly throws things without checking their usefulness first. He put the binbag in a neighbours skip so I can't even go and see what he has thrown out without looking like a baglady! I sense a sippy cup shopping trip on the horizon.

DD in bed, DH in the bath, I am pootling and eating cinnamon grahams.

MrsMiamla · 28/04/2010 19:56

oops you have my sympathy! DH does exactly the same. I try and keep a spare jumper, emergency box of rusks etc in the car but they always seem to disappear

sazz I've got it good compared to your lot! i've had a chat with mum and in theory she's happy to come round for the afternoon but she doesn't want pil to feel like they're being pushed out. At the same time she completely understands my worries because DS really is quite a handful, adventurous little thing. If there's trouble/mischief to be had, he'll find it in a second!

oops that's so cool! i didn't realise you were bringing DD up bilingually (sorry if you've mentioned it, obviously passed me by )

MrsMiamla · 28/04/2010 19:59

what on earth is a cinnamon graham? I'm liking the sound of them though so off to google!

dizzydixies · 28/04/2010 20:00

are they not cereal thingies?
