Oh go on then.

I'm rubbish at titles though but I bow down to Oli's cakes and supermum.

No we didn't Jabber but we did consider it Natasha was on our list and a few other Christmas related names, Mary didn't make the shortlist though!

I wish my children would sleep DS up 12am-3am last night. Most of it screaming on and off. I am a shadow of my former self, look like I've been punched in both eyes.

In better news, am going to see AQ tomorrow

Awww say hi to Aq

I'm not going to panic too much about the potty training, just was so easy with the girls.

Ds1 has a cold and is grotty alllllll the time

Dh is off to france for 3 days leaving me with the twins almost killing each other and a poorly ds1

Can't complain as it will give me peace from channel changing and general hubby whinging

Ow, ow, ow, have been to Pilates today and I am in agony. How can lying on a mat and deep breathing hurt this much?

Jabber, no christams names even considered here, despite due dates being 25th and 26th. I just couldn't do that to a child.

Hooray for walking dd AQ , how was the Deep with Lenni today?

No potty training advice from me, all 3 of mine just kind of did it somehow, regardless of me! I was very lucky with it, I think.

Indith, I am blessed with substantial thighs and have not yet found my perfect pair of jeans. Apparently Gap do a pair for curvy bums and thighs but the branch here never has any in.

Castles, hope the bullying is being dealt with, poor dd. I'm dreading having to deal with all these issues as mine get older. It's so heartbreaking .

Oli - Monday is my pilates day! We Started in Mid-sept and are only just starting to do exercises on the mat. She is working on our posture (mine is SHOCKINGLY bad).

Have you tried asda for jeans?

I wanna know how the Deep went

I still want a tank of jelly fish.

Been raining all day today Children doing a good job of driving me up the wall but currently playing with a cardboard box each Ds was shouting at dd for daring to touch his so I set her up with her own and of course he now thinks hers is far more interesting

And he is now sitting on the bottom step for hitting his sister. For goodness sake I got her playing happily and not touching his box, because really it is fair enough that he gets annoyed with her for messing up his games so he then decides to go and steal her toys and hit her when she snatches them back!

I know, I know, he is 2 and they all do it. There is no logic.

They definitely improve with age, Indith

What is all this Deep talk? Am I missing something?

Someone I know had her pfb at xmas and called him Gabriel.

Things are slowly improving here though am still carless which is not much fun when you have miles to walk for after school crap clubs.

I met another lovely MNer yesterday - and two of her DCs who DS thought were the best playmates a little crawling person could hope for. So cute.

The Deep was lovely Indith! It was pretty amazing and DD has gone on and on about it all day today which is totally unlike her, she doesn't usually discuss anything she did but can always tell you if she's been allowed cake/chocolate/ice cream in the last month

The twins were gorgeous and amazing to see B walking - I forgot how incredible it is when they first walk. They look so tiny. DD gaped at B for a good minute when she got out of the buggy and stood there, as if to say, 'babies don't walk!?' I have absolutely no idea how AQ copes though - she left me with the twins and my two for about 5 minutes while she bought food from the cafe and trying to feed 4 of them and keep them all in their seats/highchairs was a bit of an effort. I'm not sure I would last a day. She must be superwoman.

It was fab to finally meet AQ too - it sounds totally batty but I kind of didn't expect an Aussie, why I don't know since I clearly knew AQ is Australian!!! Are definately going to do something again - maybe in York, is that any good for you Indith?

Oh and by the way AQ - DD keeps informing me that you are her friend and I am allowed to go back to see the fishes again with her friend nothing like an ego eh!!

awwww, lenni, you beat me to it (is there a bashful emoticon?) Twas a lovely day, I really enjoyed it, and pleased that dd did too, I wasn't sure as could hardly hear a thing in the din of the deep. Funny about your dd and mine when she walked a good 3 months earlier! DS did have a lovely time in that soft play bit too, a change from fish Is my accent that noticeable anymore (what did you think indith?), I guess everyone I know is used to me. How was the side trip to Leeds? I would never have done a trip like that with ds1 & 2, you're very brave!

Wait until we get ds & my babies together when they're all walking! And indith's two, my gosh that could be a day out and a half! Everyone should note though that I was far too much of a woos (?) to take ds2 as well and ds1 in school.

Unfortunately, dd started throwing up as soon as we got home and has just done it again (like gallons of the stuff eeewwww) so best go and do another load of washing. I just wish she'd stop doing all over me, it was truly revolting.
I promise I will try and catch up with all other news soon.

Trip to Leeds ok. It was good to see my brother and his girlfriend although DS pretty much wrecked their house in the space of 30 minutes so we ate out at a restaurant which was lovely and DS slept through the meal. It was a bit awkward while he was trashing the place - but what do they expect?? People without kids just don't get kids do they!

Sorry, went awol again - dd2 suddenly did the high fever/won't let go of mummy thing last week and all weekend. Don't think it was flu, just horrid virus, and hoping hard we don't all get it in time for weekend away tomorrow

Castles, I'm glad things are improving, am still for your dd...girl + henchman sounds horrible.

Oli, sympathies (and congrats) on the Pilates pain - have just re-started power plate and keep wondering if the pains in my legs are flu, but they're not

Am now going to foster jellyfish fantasies, and try to persuade dd2 that she'd rather have a jellyfish than a cat...

AQ, hope dd is ok now? And EV, yours too?

Not really following fish thing, I'm sure I'll get it in a couple of days.
Castles, how is it going with dd1? DS1 has been periodically bullied by another lad at school but he hasn't seemed much affected by it. It seems to have calmed down, ds asked if kid could come to his birthday party and I said NO (fgs). Some sort of love/hate relationship I guess. I'd hate to think how it would be if he was really upset by it as your dd is? I wouldn't want to send him in there I don't think. I hate having to pretend to be nice in front of his parents too & dp finds it utterly galling. How are other things, you and dh?
eli, hope dd gets better soon, I hate all day clingy things! DD won't get off me at the moment (still throwing up) so I....went to Leeds for the day and left them with dp. Um. And he's got it too (although not throwing up). Really enjoyed myself though! Went on the train and everything, wow.

Re: presents, asked ds2 what he wanted - money, was the reply. He is quite funny at the moment. We were in a shop & they both wanted mini gift boxes so I indulged - ds1 wanted to make a gift for a friend, so we both asked ds2 what he was going to put in the box. He said his willy! Cue much chortling from all 3 of us in middle of next The boys are playing beautifully together at present, makes it all worthwhile for 20 minutes a day
Pilates sounds like bloody hard work. Is it not terribly boring just lying them pulling your muscles in and out? People keep suggesting it to me & I'm sure it's great for back problems?
Must go, dp has retired to bed after his exhausting day leaving me with all chores to do.

Elibean · 15/10/2009 20:42

AQ re ds's giftboxed willy. Pilates is great for backs, did wonders for mine (unlike powerplate, which does good things for my shape but knackers my back) and takes so much concentration I never had time to get bored. Much.

dd all well, thanks, and back to not napping; hope your dd is better soon, and nearly cheered out loud to see you left it all to dp and headed off for a day out - yeay AQ!

Girl's got to have a day off now and again! I went coat shopping and failed (darn, kind of like indith's search for jeans, it's been 3 years now) and had lovely lunch by myself in Bella Pasta. Twas nice to come home though, dt's crawled to the door the instant they heard my voice and threw themselves at me in unison. Aww. glad your dd better, I hope mine is back to normal soon, she threw dinner up v.neatly on her highchair tray!
I don't know what power plate is, but I went to yoga session 3 weeks ago and only this week without pain again so not doing that in a hurry! Maybe I should try pilates, my stomach is a sad, sad thing.

AQ - My stomach is a wrinkly flabby mess. I hate it.

I really need pilates to be the answer.

Dd1 threw up a few times on Thursday - she seems to have recovered today.

DD better now thanks, but something badly up with ds3 now argggh. He's been horrible all weekend, I think it might be because we ran out of gaviscon on Friday but he's 12 months old fgs. Ghastly whiny weekend & dp all grumpy with me too. How was everyone else's?
indith, how is sleep? are you getting more?

Was thinking it would be interesting getting your ds, mine and lenni's dd together really - I think your ds would be the only one to speak as ds2 says nowt in public anymore. Music group lots of fun as he completely blanks the (lovely harp playing!) lady running it at every turn. Bless her she keeps trying. He can't shut up at home, mind. Is dd like that too, Lenni?
must go and sell some more stuff on ebay,

getting a bit fed up of selling stuff on here as people say they want it (e.g. huge pile of nappies & wraps) and then disappear for a fortnight after I've weighed it all for them grrrrrr. But it's going out of my dining room nonetheless so I have money and room for the december present spree!

God, I'm rubbish at posting. Meant to first say I hope pilates is the answer for you DW, not quite sure what you mean by just doing the mat now (thought is was all mat stuff?). I lurrrrrve yoga to bits but have to accept that my body is disaster zone and may be another year before I'm fully healthy again to do things like that. Are you still working notice through btw or did you leave immediately? How're you feeling about it now?
