Oh yes! Love it

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 01/04/2009 21:52

spot, lol. A bit of cheese on a stick?!

spotofcheerfulness · 01/04/2009 21:56

Who's called Rocky anyway?

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 01/04/2009 21:58

There's a blond woman who's really irritating me, I just want to slap her!

spotofcheerfulness · 01/04/2009 22:00

The one wearing too much makeup?

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 01/04/2009 22:01

I think so, she was trying to explain their products to the client & didn't have a clue

daisydora · 01/04/2009 22:02

She reminds me of one of those girls who was in All Saints...it amazes me how any of them have ever held a job down. And as for the girls version of canapes, hilarious!!!

pmk1 · 01/04/2009 22:07

that was excruciating!! hard to not watch though....
Spot DH said they have to hold their phones like that for the TV cause they have it on speaker
B still asleep.... will have to wake for feed soon.... I hope it doesn't go downhill from there...

OP posts:
spotofcheerfulness · 01/04/2009 22:13

Good luck, PMK!

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 01/04/2009 22:15

Good luck with the feed pmk!

That was funny, right time for bed

See you tomorrow

poisondwarf · 01/04/2009 22:27

Hiya everyone,

Quick post - no time to catch up (but welcome back to spot and yay for your sis).

DS turned 2 yesterday - tomorrow it's Thomasland then up to my mum's for a bit. Hoping to be back in time for the meet-up next week so will be keeping an eye on the thread. Can't be bothered to post on it but sorry you can't make it along Turnip - would anyone be interested in a North London meet or something once the school hols are over?

Sorry to be so brief - hope everyone's well.

waitinggirl · 02/04/2009 04:37

the god of irony is laughing in my face. i am awake. all others in the house are asleep. bugger.

spotofcheerfulness · 02/04/2009 07:11

Been up since 5, DP was on sofa and on duty with T so could have been sleeping from 11.30 til 6.30!!! But no, . Damn my infernal internal clock. Will we ever sleep again, WG??
Hope you have a lovely time in Thomasland, POison, I bet your lil DS will love it. V much up for a N london meetup as can't do the next RFH one I'm afraid...

pmk1 · 02/04/2009 07:16

........... thanks... picked him up at 10pm, fed till he was totally full to the brim..... burped, back to sleep at 1030.... then woke at 0230, and 0530 on the dot!! I didn't feed and he went back to sleep both times with dummy, but the only thing I can assume is since it's a little too much in line with 3 hourly feedings that he does during the day..... I think I've ruled out everything except he's not getting enough throughout the day due to my dodgy flow... will top up with formula today....

OP posts:
spotofcheerfulness · 02/04/2009 07:47

Could be, PMK - though the fact that he went back to sleep both times with dummy rather than demanding to feed suggests he might well have been getting enough in the day but his clock just used to waking at those times? Though what do I know, am clearly no sleep expert!
Turnip, I remember you talked about sugar water a time back as a way to get them back to sleep in the night without feeding - did that help you eliminate the night feeds? That said, I try and do the dream feed that you do, PMK, change his nappy to wake him up but he immediately goes back to sleep and tends to only take 100ml so I worry that's not enough to see him through the night. Though i'm sure he'd let me know if it wasn't! Sorry for stream of consciousness there...
What with these knackered body clocks we should all become breakfast T presenters!

pmk1 · 02/04/2009 07:53

yes could mean that i spose spot.... its wierd because he doesn't have the dummy to get himself to sleep the first time (spits it) and i've been detecting him having issues with daytime feeds.... I just found this which is pretty accurate for us.....

EffiePerine · 02/04/2009 07:57

Sorry to hear of your wakeful nights WG, Spot and kmp. I was up a lot as well, but with DS1 (bad cough and asking for water on the hour through the night - bleah). DS2 only woke once at 3:30 then awake at 7 - the best night we've had so far. Sod's law!

Having a morning in watching a dvd - no spots yet so hope it's just a virus.

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 02/04/2009 08:03

Sorry to hear of wakeful nights. We've gone back to giving ds2 a dreamfeed as otherwise he doesn't sleep well, still wakes at 5am though!

spotofcheerfulness · 02/04/2009 08:11

That's v interesting PMK, it's v true that T is eating less in the day as he's so distracted and chews his bottle so quite poss more hungry at night- the idea in the article though that I could leave him with the bottle to get on with feeding is quite amusing!

spotofcheerfulness · 02/04/2009 08:15

oh effie, how annoying for you! your poor DS1, hope he gets better soon.

pmk1 · 02/04/2009 08:30

Spot yes I know I think what they describe could be exactly what B is going through. I wonder how tonight goes with giving him formula top ups during today.... It's an elimination process I think! I feel bad for not feeding him during the night if he was hungry

OP posts:
spotofcheerfulness · 02/04/2009 08:32

I think if they're really hungry they won't be fobbed off with dummies, PMK - I'm sure you've not been starving him!

daisydora · 02/04/2009 08:36

pmk I think you are describing DS. He has taken to waking 2/3 times a night, and I feed him back to sleep but he does seem hungry like that article says, so maybe I should just go with the flow but it is so tiring.

Last night was both of them though;
12.30 DS woke fed to sleep
1am DD woke lost her teddy
2am DS woke, dummy in back to sleep
2.30am DD woke her pillow "had jumped on her head" and she couldn't get back to sleep so I had to sit with her till 3ish[yawn type emotion]
3.30am DS woke for feed
5.30am DS woke for feed but got dummy and I went back to bed and put ear plugs in

My eyes are stinging I'm soooo tired. Right enough of me! effie hope DS1 is better today.

Mum and Dad are going camping this weekend and DH is working ALL weekend. I can already feel the DC's driving me mad...oops sorry me again, I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself. Must be lack of sleep. Off to tidy up and hopefully cheer myself up a bit its a beautiful sunny day!

rosisdreamingofchocolate · 02/04/2009 08:37

pmk I agree with spot, ds2 just spits out his dummy if he's hungry, I'm sure ds would kick up a real fuss if he wanted feeding!

Spot, I lol-ed at that comment as well, ds2 does try to hold his bottle but as soon as I let go it falls down!
