Oh honey I am so so sad for you, I know how painful (physically and emotionally) it is

Soph73 · 09/02/2009 12:40

Oh Scorpio, am so sorry. Take care of yourself - don't know what else to say. Am thinking of you.

LadyBee · 09/02/2009 13:06

Oh Scorpio, I'm so sorry - it's a very sad and horrible thing to go through, no matter when it happens. Hold on to your DH, cry, do whatever you need to. Very sad for you both.

SalLikesCoffee · 09/02/2009 13:26

Oh Scorpio. I can't really talk while at work, but just checked and wanted you to know I'm thinking about you all the time. I am so sorry.

chipmonkey · 09/02/2009 13:43

Oh, Scorpio, you poor pet!

VictorianSqualor · 09/02/2009 13:50

Kev is home with her, looking after her. She has an appointment later, fingers crossed it won't be as bad as it seems.

Soph73 · 09/02/2009 14:07

Let's hope so VS. If you speak to her later let her know I'm thinking of her.

VictorianSqualor · 09/02/2009 16:42

Just posted on Scorpio's thread.
It is def a mc.
She is taking a bit of a break. K is off work to look after her.

Denny185 · 09/02/2009 19:42

Sorry to hear your news Scorpio, hope ur ok.

Hope all these poorly babies r feeling better soon.

Just realised i did a massive post and run the other day, it had taken me nearly 2 hours to catch up with everything thats been happening so didnt have the eye power to stay on any longer.

Life been pretty hectic since back at work, just trying to fit the same amount of stuff in in much less time so MN is the thing thats had to give. Work is work, quite nice having a break from the kids and beoing able to actually sit for half hour and eat my lunch and talk to people who talk back.

DD2 doing well, she is very speedy now and gets wherever she wants, if she can get hold of her walker she zooms about with that now too.

Knitter, def time for another meet up, will email u and sheds (what days is she working) to try and sort a date.

O and Ive had all my hair cut off, used to be half way down my back and now I cant even tie it back

bumpkin32 · 09/02/2009 20:10

So sorry Scorpio . Just take things as easy as you can and take some time out.

Took L to dr today and he just said that it's still a cold/virus (worked it out to be nearly 3 weeks she's been suffering) and to take her back at end of week if still no better. Think she is actually a bit better tonight as wanted extra feed this evening, but still no solids! Hoping tomorrow she has a big appetite!

Denny- bet the hair is a bit of a shock to the system, and a bit colder!

EllieG · 09/02/2009 20:12

scorpio - sorry

denny - are you back at work full time now? How is DD with that?

Oh and cool to have a new look! I love doing that - am in process of growing hair so can have it all chopped off again

LadyBee · 09/02/2009 20:22

Scorpio, have posted on your other thread, I spent all afternoon hoping and hoping that it would be ok. Very sad to hear from VS that it wasn't. Take all the time you need and don't feel like you have to be 'back to normal' to come back and talk to us

Right, if the northern gals are arranging their meet up, I'd better get a move on with our London lunch.

Oma! Cooooeeeeeeee. Are you still going in to work while redundancy stuff sorted out or are you at home now?

EllieG · 09/02/2009 20:29

Lunch/many drinks.....in May? When I come over? Pleeeeaaasseee? [ellie shamelessly begs for friends] Honestly I am dead fun....

LadyBee · 09/02/2009 20:38

Lunch thread here, Ellie I reckon you might deserve a drinks evening thread all to yourself (now how's that for pressure to be excellent )

LadyBee · 09/02/2009 20:41

I am waiting for dinner to be delivered to me - I love it when DP cooks. Am watching the report about the fires in Australia, it sounds unimaginably horrible , it must be so hard being an emergency worker at times like this. (well, at most times, but when there's such an enormous strain at work and worry about your family & home as well...)

EllieG · 09/02/2009 21:09

God yes, is horrendous out there isn't it? Was watching on news this morning. Poor people.

SalLikesCoffee · 09/02/2009 21:46

Hello.

Yes, I can't even get myself to imagine how it must feel for the people there, just the thought breaks my heart.

Re nicer things - Ellie, like the idea of a girly night out!

Difficult evening here, with R now drugged up on the Calpol. His bottom molar is about to come out!!! You can feel this big fat tooth just under the surface, gums swollen and you can see he is suffering. Poor thing! I thought they're only supposed to come out at 15mnths or something! He has 6 other (front) teeth already! Was hoping the poor thing would get a break for a while (oh no, nothing to do with us wanting peace, oh no ).

Spoke to my boss re two weeks off today, and he sounds fine with the idea. Now just to synchronize our holidays, and Peru/Bolivia, here we come!

Denny185 · 09/02/2009 22:28

Yeah holidays, we've booked for May to an all bells and whistles hotel and going with babysitters mum/dad/aunty.

Work full time, good god no, not till the kids have left home! At the moment Im doing 2 days, beginning of April back to 3 days. TBH if I stayed in at least part of the of the other days it would be fine but between toddler groups, soft play sessions and gym classes we are rarely in so I have to do all the housework/washing etc in the evenings which just makes for longer days. I am contemplating getting a cleaner when back 3 days (am def not posh just incase you were wondering) even if its just to do a thorough clean in kitchen and bathrooms once a week.

SalLikesCoffee · 09/02/2009 22:36

Ooh nice, sounds great Denny! Don't want to sound like a complete stalker, but tell more... Where? If UK, weather should be quite nice then, not? You'd swear I've only just arrived here (7 years ago), but I can never remember what the weather is like at certain times. I blame the whole our winter is your summer thing.

Denny185 · 09/02/2009 22:48

Its in Gran Canaria, which hopefully should be warm enough for swimming costumes but not too hot. Its a Thompsons family one, cant remember name of hotel as mum booked it, and has loads 4 kids to do from ball pools to art clubs. I have my fingers crossed for a relaxing holiday.

Denny185 · 09/02/2009 22:49

Ive just got round to watching sundays skating on ice, sky plus really is a great invention isnt it, just watched 2 hours of TV in 30 minutes.
