Poor DD - that's horrible for her.

And 3 cheers for Panda

ScorpiowithabigS · 26/02/2009 11:18

VS how weird , dd would have got so upset bedause of the dyspraxia, ds1 is exactly the same because they KNOW and have been reassured constantly by us that something is right, then someone says no its not and they dont get it. I would have been cross. Lol at your dp being a PO at 9/10 years old!

Am here. Reilly has been saying his tooth is hurting - his GF toook him for me (im far too scared) and he has to have a GA in hospital, as he has an abcess and a bad tooth. i dont get it, they dont eat/drink crap, i remember their teeth about 90% of the time, but my point is i have tried so hard and now this.

EllieG · 26/02/2009 11:43

scorpio - tis not your fault hon, just bad luck. Poor little man - is horrid to have toothache. I had an absess once (not caused by bad dental hygiene just bad luck) and was very sore. Once he is sorted by dentist will be better soon though x

VS - stupid man. And Yey for Panda!

EllieG · 26/02/2009 11:45

Oh and thanks sal! Have emailed you back

ScorpiowithabigS · 26/02/2009 14:00

Right, ds1 went back to non-emergency regular dentist clinic today and they said they can do it under local if we want - yes please! Much better, and he has anti=bs now too, so not as bad as thought, thank god

Feeling bit tired and bit run down, DH is very busy in his life too, so im getting little help.

Peachy · 26/02/2009 14:25

When I had an abscess 15 years ago what worked best was snakenbite through a straw, not sure you want to use that idea though LOL

Scorpio somekids have weaker enamel than oters is all: ds1 has lost loads of teeth (partly due to soya formula).
Indeed, ds1 only ahs half broken adult teeth due to a fall at school (amazing how many of those we get, ds3 has a permanenly scarred face from same reason- top right lip pulls right up a bit like a minor hare lip )

Just went to get my drivers licence so i can test drive a car tomorrow eeeek- I never remembered to change to my married naem when I adopted it (was useful when I was working, had ruff connotations LOL)- am sending it in now hope they don't sue me! Wonder what £1000 will be on £50 a week carers allowance- £4 pcm until retiremenT??? (parents of disabled kids dont get to retire- til death then PMSL)

Bas spent all tinytalk today walking around mesmerisingmummys who all flock to look at the amazing baby (what with him still looking small)- was but wouldn't have minded him letting me sit down at some point LOL.

Scorpio- are you getting the new news coverage which goes fromcornwall to gloucestershire? We keep getting updates on events in Cornwall LOL, seems so fr away! (but you might get to see the boys carnival float in Niovember- oooh aren't ya lucky )

ScorpiowithabigS · 26/02/2009 14:50

Peachy, yes we keep getting that news update too! It's odd, and cos im so far down in Cornwall as you know NONE of it is relevant!

Yes the dentist said some children have softer teeth than others, etc. Good old motherhood guilt though, eh?

TheShipsCat · 26/02/2009 15:17

Going to be away from the dds for a week from Saturday on my work trip. I am just writing my "how to look after the dds" list for DH and my mum, and I looked at the one I wrote for them in November. I can't believe how much easier it's got! I don't even have to write for dd1, and dd2's routine and list of things to take is so much simpler.

I can't believe how quickly they've grown...

EllieG · 26/02/2009 19:47

You have a very glam sounding job TSC, getting to go to all these places - what is it you do?

LadyBee · 26/02/2009 21:42

I was thinking that too!

LadyBee · 26/02/2009 21:46

Goodness, I can't even imagine B walking across a room - Alex and Bas are very advanced!! Must look very cute - they're still quite short aren't they

Denny185 · 26/02/2009 22:21

Hello all, so glad you lot have slowed down, its only taken me half hour to catch up on the post

Knitter im off the week beginning the 16th and 23rd, any good?

Sal I would go for a rigid frame and then some of the weight can be dispersed onto your hips (they generally have waist and chest straps too which you will need for treking!). Although heres a thought, go for a walk at lunch time and do some stretches every evening and get your back pain better

Work still a bit busy but still good to be using brain and using it effectively, quite reassuring.

I have now lost just over 2 stone since Nov and tested with a pair of size 12 jeans tonight and ................. I got them on and done up, I couldnt breath or bend but hey ho.

I have a house guest at the moment, my aunties dog as my uncle is in hospital (who normally keeps the dog company) he's in surgery tomorrow to see if they can improve the blood supply to his foot if not they are going to have to amputate at least his toe. He is a diabetic who does nothing to help himself, always snacking on cakes and chocolate and chainsmokes. Even with this hes still smoking like a trooper. Mum just been to visit and said he went out 3 times in half an hour she was there - some people will never learn.

Right Im off to bed v tierd eyes tonight

chipmonkey · 26/02/2009 22:30

TSC is second from the right!

SalLikesCoffee · 26/02/2009 22:45

Rofl chipmonkey!

LadyBee · 26/02/2009 23:25

well done on weight loss Denny - breathing's overrated anyway

EllieG · 27/02/2009 08:50

Bloody hell well done denny! I still have two stone to shift [sighs] since was a stone overweight when got pg, and then spent 9 months sitting on my arse eating chocolate

LOL chipmonkey

TheShipsCat · 27/02/2009 10:53

CM - nearly right, I'm second from left

I wish...

Well done Denny on the weight loss! And yes, breathing is definitely over-rated!

Not a glamorous job at all, I'm afraid. I'm a journalist.

TheShipsCat · 27/02/2009 10:55

Just took A for her 9-month check, and they seem to be a bit worried that she's not on the move. Got to go again in two months to see how she's doing. Hey ho. Can't say I'm too worried, I just think she's taking her time. Hope I'm right.

EllieG · 27/02/2009 10:56

Is quite glam if you get to go to Thailand etc. The best I get is going to yucky estates where people throw things at my car. Who do you work for or do you freelance?

TheShipsCat · 27/02/2009 10:58

Erm, both sort of. I'm editor of a magazine, and I also freelance for other people.

Can you throw things back?

EllieG · 27/02/2009 10:58

They take their own time I think. Is she rolling yet? DD was very slow to do everything but once she got going has done it all in quick succession.

TheShipsCat · 27/02/2009 10:59

She can roll, just prefers not to. And she can sort of crawl slip backwards, but again, prefers not to!

EllieG · 27/02/2009 11:00

Unfortunately am told I have to be above that sort of thing. Am also not allowed to call people names, though I regularly get some lovely ones hurled at me - 'That curly haired cu*t' was one that sticks in my memory, from a particularly potty-mouthed 16 year old girl!

Which mag are you editor of?

EllieG · 27/02/2009 11:02

That sounds like Mol - she only really started rolling and crawling properly in the last month or so - she didn't like to roll til she could get herself anywhere as hated being on her front, so couldn't see the point. Plus she is her mummy's child and therefore rather lazy. Once she worked out movement a bit better there was no stopping her, I bet your DD is same.

ScorpiowithabigS · 27/02/2009 11:03

Ellie - i can imagine you being called that awith rotten tomatoes in your hair, lol
poor you though!
