bloody hell

I followed oj (she is a multiple mum) but never realised about MB

NorthernLurker · 01/07/2008 19:45

It was pancreatic cancer I think. I seem to remember that he pretty much defied the doctors expectations and lived for much, much longer than they had said was likely. So sad for her and she has always posted so bravely about it. Count our blessings ladies!

Sexonlegs · 01/07/2008 19:47

Hi folks

Wow NL, a catch up and a half! So sorry you have had such a crap time at work. Here's to a new job eh!
No idea what is up with K. She has no temp but is clammy and her forehead is v cool. She is so clingy. For the first time ever she cried when I put her to bed. Went back up and sat with her for a bit. Left her again and she whined for about 5 mins and has now dropped off.

The thing is, she suddenly has bouts of her normal self ad then goes back to whingy/clingy/tired status. I am flumoxed (sp?)

Hi Oooggs. You sound perkier

Hi GM.

Right, need to get on. Catch up later. xx

elkiedee · 01/07/2008 20:44

What a treat to hear from you at such length NL, though I'm sorry to hear you've been having a bad time at work.

StealthPolarBear · 01/07/2008 20:54

Hi everyone
NL lovely to hear from you, sorry you have had stresses at work
SOL, sorry to hear K is ill

Doobydoo · 01/07/2008 21:07

SOL,Drinking is obviously good. But I think you should take her to different doc tomorrow if you still worried. At the very least they will reassure you.SAhe obviously feels rough and in no time at all will be pinging around while you feel drained!Thats one of the amazing things about kids. But do take her if you worried,i know you will.Just didn't want an unsymapathetic doc to put you off.
HI NL,Fab post and lovely to hear from you
I do count my blessings,i really do.Read Evenstars message about her husband and know how lucky we are with the important things.
OOOGGS,Scoff away! You blimmin well deserve it woman!
Night all.xx

Funeral is a week on Friday
Caz - thank you x

Am taking the 'every cloud has a silver lining' approach. If I hadn't lost my passport I'd now be frantically rearranging flights home so we could be back for the funeral. Firm believer in things happening for a reason here, my passport can stay lost until it thinks it's time to return

PillockOfTheCommunity · 01/07/2008 23:43

oooggs - emailed you back, I'll be needing an address before I can post it

lexilex · 02/07/2008 00:07

crikey, youve been busy tonight, lol, saw my mate dd's hair today and all i can say is oh my god!!! its the whole of the front, about an inch thick!!! luckly it can be hidden by hairband, lol.
i also got all the paint for the house today, i nearly had a heart attack we i was told how much!!! so ill be busy tomorrow stripping walls and sanding woodwork, oh the joy.

sol, i hope k gets better v, soon.

pisha i hope m is doing ok.

potc just give yourself time, when my nan died i just threw myself into looking after people that wernt coping with it and didnt give myself any time to greive myself, still havent really and it was nearly 4 years ago, ( still have her numbers on my phone, including her hospital bed one!!!)

hi nl, hope things at work improve for you, hope we will see you more,

hiya to all other ladies ive missed, hope everyone is ok. xxxxx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/07/2008 00:08

lexilex · 02/07/2008 00:10

hiya im always up late, shouldnt really but i would only toss and turn for hours otherwise. you doing ok? x

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/07/2008 00:15

I'm not too bad thanks
(just a hint, I don't do hugs or huns or kisses, I'm well known for it )

I have Narcolepsy so my sleep patterns are generally buggered up. Was asleep by 7.30 last night!

lexilex · 02/07/2008 00:21

risk of sounding stupid is it a hard thing to live with? just looked at your pics your los are very cute, i have a 4 year old boy too, is yours starting school in sept? o has a visit today, he gets very clingy and shy, but he responed well to his teacher which is a good thing, although he thinks she stupid cos she was pretending she couldnt count to get him to talk to her. lol

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/07/2008 00:32

It's not easy, but there's plenty of people a far worse life than I do
M starts school full-time in September, first visit tomorrow but it's daddy's job, I'm at work and doing the next one. Lots of us on this thread have school-starters this year.

lexilex · 02/07/2008 00:38

yeah we spoke bout it before, 3 years must be a very popular age gap, lol. either that or we were all so scared of the idea it took us 2 1/2 years to consider it again. hehe.
o is a funny little thing, he hates anyhting and everything untill hes used to them after a while, it take ages for him to like new shoes and coats, its alway a fight to get him to wear them, then he cant get enough of them.lol. im off to bed but will be bk tomorrow. night night,

Sexonlegs · 02/07/2008 07:55

elkiedee · 02/07/2008 10:25

Sorry SOL, hope K perks up and cools down.

We were woken up at 5.30 this morning, though D did go back to sleep in buggy about 7 am or so.

cazboldy · 02/07/2008 12:06

Hi Nl Sorry work is still crap - any news on a new job?

Caitlin and Harry should be visiting a new school today, but she has a sickness bug, and he didn't want to go without her... not sure if it would have been a good idea anyway, as they will go to a different school when we move... Need to get that sorted as soon as things are finalised on the job.

Molly brighter now, but had another crap night - and she fell out of bed at about half 5 she has been in with us for about a week now, but once dh goes it is a nightmare as she rolls over all the time! Can't see any marks, and she didn't cry that much, so she is fine, but was a horrible way to wake up.....The tiredness due to about 5 night of broken sleep has caught up with me today, and I feel rough!

ds1 had a lovely day at high school yesterday, and is now thoroughly looking forward to it but is being a real pita today - I have just had a long game of monopoly with him, but Molly woke up, so asked him to tidy it away and WW3 has broken out - sometimes I give up

NorthernLurker · 02/07/2008 12:08

Dippy - go to the GP NOW! You must prioritise yourself because without you the whole of Dippyland will fall apart!

sorry about the crap nights. My work is continuing in grimness but I feel ok with it today. Got another job to apply for
