Morning all

Will be setting off soon for my scan appt. Have taken today as annual leave as I have quite a bit of it, particularly if all goes well and I have to use it by January instead of May. So I have had a bit of a lazy morning back in bed.

WO, congratulations on the new job - when do you start it? I'm also curious about why controversial but won't press further.

Sorry to hear both NL and CD sounding so low, you always have time to say a nice word for others here. I hope your trip goes well NL.

SPB, glad you're enjoying T at the moment. The chattering is so cute, isn't it?

D acquired a shocking black eye in the park yesterday - he's obsessed with opening and closing the gates and fell on some sort of gate post that's just a little way above ground. At least he didn't take his eye out. dp is feeling terribly guilty.

SOL, hope the heartburn eases.

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2008 11:57

Poor D Elkie - toddlers are soooo clumsy, bless 'em - DP shouldn't feel guilty. Hope scan goes ok and enjoy your day

morning folks!
yeh to last day doing the schol run for a while luce and good on S for crawling!
spb - glad T is back on chipper form
elkie - good luck with the scan - make sure to let us know how you get on. poor D & black eye. they do go through the mill at this age. C has a split lip at the mo and a nice lump on her forehead - courtesy of trying to climb onto a kitchen chair.
CD - you do sound stressed - hopefully you will have a good weekend meet up with NL.
SOL - heartburn is grim. can you just pamper today if you dont head to docs?

sorry if i have left anyone out!

the new job is working with women exploited throug commercial sex - from lap dancing to prostitution. quite a radical approach linking it to male violence. i imagine many awkward silences when responding to the question " what is your new job". goig to meet new boss at 2pm to talk over first speech at major conference only 2 weeks after i start - gulp!

Sexonlegs · 27/06/2008 12:41

Elkie, good luck with the scan. How exciting Poor D hope his eye recovers soon.

Luce, enjoy the start of the school holidays

WO the job sounds really interesting! Good luck with it

Right, need to go and pick up K from nursery.

Feel so much better today. Still get the odd twinge but yesterday I was getting pains every few minutes - like contractions but high up!

See you all later. x

Evening all

CD, hope you feel better soon you poor lamb. xx

Hi Oooggs, work shouldn't be phoning you that often surely? Once a week would be ore appropriate. Hope you feel ok. xx

Hi SPB and all you other lovelies out there.

All ok here. B and K on great form - HURRAH!!!!!

Went to the park after school for an hour which was really nice and sat and chatted to one of the dads.

Came home and just chilled out with them.

Hoping they both sleep well - need my beauty sleep

Dh off cycling again tonight so am enjoying watching what I want tonight. Going to paints my nails as well! Sad eh?

StealthPolarBear · 27/06/2008 20:35

Evening SOL
can anyone reading this please send T sleepy vibes? Thanks

elkiedee · 27/06/2008 20:45

Scan this afternoon went ok - definitely growing a baby (I felt so reassured after the scan last time) and it's only one. But I'm also less far along than my LMP date would suggest - 9+4 not 11+2, and the tests I expected to have can't be done before 11 weeks. So I'm now due on 26 January (probably a February baby then). Although I still wish I was further along, I'm hoping my new date will be closer to reality - as my cycle is normally irregular and longer than average, I was surprised in my first pregnancy that the scan date was the same as the LMP (last period) date.

Your new job sounds interesting WO - I think for every silence there'll probably be at least 2 people wanting to know more about it.

Great news about the house lexi, do you know when the move will be yet? Is it far from where you are now?

Glad to hear the dogs boss has been called off Oooggs.

elkiedee · 27/06/2008 20:52

dp is mad at me because D woke up after appearing to be close to sleep. I think if he woke up like that it was going to happen anyway. One of the cats was sick next to the desk where our PC is and I rushed upstairs thinking I was going to be sick (I was nauseous beforehand). And yelling at me because the baby's awake is sure to be a good move, isn't it?

Sexonlegs · 27/06/2008 20:54

Sleepy vibes T!!!

Elkie, so glad the scan went well today. Must be a relief.

Lexi, also meant to say great news re the house. Where will you be moving too?

Sexonlegs · 27/06/2008 20:56

Oh Elkie, I am sorry to hear you and dp are having a set-to.

Babies wake up, and you can't creep around the house all the time.

Hope you patch things up

Doobydoo · 27/06/2008 20:57
