CaptainDippy · 17/05/2008 08:13

OK. Cake all done. Picnic made. Alternative party bags complete. One problem. It's raining.

Oh well. I'm sure it'll be fun anyway

How is everyone today? I'm feeling rough, achey joints and muscles. Snotty nose. Yuk.

Eddas · 17/05/2008 08:32

morning

hope dd2's party is a good one cd, i'm sure it will be Can I ask what you've put in the party bags? DD's bday party is in 4 weeks and i need some ideas. Thanks

Doobydoo · 17/05/2008 08:33

Morning All
Sorry you feel rough CD,definitely something lingering in the lurgy department.
Hope you have a great day, rain or no rain
Dp has taken ds1 to the Irish golf open at Adare Manor today
I am here with whingy M.
Have a good day all

CaptainDippy · 17/05/2008 08:43

Instead of party bags we've bought plastic plant pots and written each child's name on it. Then we've put 4/5 Sunflower seeds into a piece of organza and tied it with ribbon, popped enough soil into a resealable freezer bag and voila - party bags without the cost or fuss

Doobydoo · 17/05/2008 08:46

That is a FANTASTIC idea.

CaptainDippy · 17/05/2008 08:53

Thank you!

Eddas · 17/05/2008 09:01

i agree, great idea. I may well pinch it for dd's party. THe thought of all the plastic tat is not a great one. Plus i have limited time to find said plastic tat

Thanks cd

PillockOfTheCommunity · 17/05/2008 09:04

I'm going to see Dippy
Joe is soooo gonna get disgustingly dirty at this farm party

Hi all.

Bramshott, so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. Hope you are ok xxxx

Oooggs, at the biting. Hope the dt's are ok now

Eddas, F still cries when she goes into nursery but settles within minutes. I am sure it is just for me to feel guilty, and it works every time!

CD, hope you feel better later. Fab idea for party bags! Much better than plastic tat! Hope dd2 has a lovely party

POTC, how are things? Have a good day xxxx

I am miserable. I think I am going to have to cancel my holiday We are meant to be going in four weeks, but my gallstones have flared up again over the last few days and I have taken a lot more painkillers. I am really scared that if I go abroad I could end up needed medical treatment there. I know the insurance would cover it, but it's just being so far away from home iykwim.
I am getting fed up of this causing me to have to stop doing the things I want
I have been to work this week, but wonder whether I just need to go off again as I have found it really tough going. I have a pre op assessment appointment next Wednesday so I am hoping that a surgery date will not be too far behind

StealthPolarBear · 17/05/2008 11:36

mammyjo, that sounds awful, you can't make any plans and your life's on hold. Hope you get an op date very soon.

DH has taken T to Homebase (for a bit of father-son bonding over the compost) and has left me with instructions to relax and drink coffee, and not to mop - his way of apologising

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 17/05/2008 12:35

Just realised that afaik T still has never rolled front to back!!

OP posts:
mammyjo · 17/05/2008 12:57

Dh is now stropping that I have dared to say we might have to cancel the holiday. His response? "They have English speaking doctors don't they?"
I have had enough. He is so fucking selfish.

oooggs · 17/05/2008 12:58

oh mammyjo hope you are feeling better soon and over the possibility of the holiday
