spb - more than talk???!! c must have been an immaculate conception then???

mmk · 21/09/2007 13:04

Hi CD and SPB
Wot is all this about more preggers then??
Not for me, no sir!
Anyone else up for it?

We are so, so enjoying the fact that 12 years of ttc and ivf is over, over, over. We are ready to start living again, and it is so nice.
Can you imagine trying to book a return flight to the Ukraine, not knowing when you have to depart? Or sneaking off work to have scans in London because scabby local clinics won't do it? or tyring to get shipments of drugs from Italy, with a prescription from the Ukriane(because you can't get them in the UK), and get it delivered to your neighbours, because you have to be at work, then them asking what is the box??
Can you imagine injecting 1 inch long needle (with instructions in Italian) by yourself because no one would do it???

oh dear, I'm on about myself again..Do I envy people who get pregnant for free? No, because I still am one of the LUCKY ones.

I love the baby days, but just couldn't do anymore!

But thenk it was so worth it. We have ds and dd(wombat-every second of it was worth it.

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2007 13:08

ouch at 1 inch needle!
I'm not surprised you're glad that's all over
Well I want no2 but think I'll wait a few years
Is it pouring down where anyone else is? I have a very strange feeling - I'm slightly bored! Have never had the time up until now!

liath · 21/09/2007 13:13

Gordon Bennet mmk - can't say I blame you for sticking to two!!

I keep wistfully wanting another but I loathed being pg. Amazing how you forget! DH not on for it at all. Met an aquaintance at a house warming the other day - she was there with her 15 month old dd AND 40 week bump ! It wasn't planned at all and the amusing bit is she's a family planning doctor.....whoops !

BTW - some of the threads do a secret santa - anyone up for it? We could make it cheap n cheery and either a gift for the mums or for the babies - what do you reckon?

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2007 13:23

up for secret santa
was laughing at your lychees disaster liath

OP posts:
weeonion · 21/09/2007 13:25

liath - love th idea of a secret santa!

any tips - c has decided that she doesnt do naps through the day any more. we are lucky if we get 20mins, after a bit of a battle..... i cant say that she is really really cranky tho'. its more me feeling like a crap mum.

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2007 13:26

weeonion, please let me know if you get any tips
sometimes t sleeps sometimes he doesnt - can fall asleep when feeding then wake up 5 mins later

mmk · 21/09/2007 13:26

Yes Liath, I'm glad it is all over, it was so stressful and exhausting. 7 times we went through it. One time in Spain with police escort..9flight was delayed, opeating team were ready to go) once injected at the back of a motorway service station, once in MILs house FIL is dr and would have gone totally BESERK if he knew what we were doing..

Glad you are thinking of no 2! ha ha, that should be fun!

aaah, preens whiskers....

I've just put my washing out, it is billowing in the wind, dd is half way through 2 1/2 hour nap, I've paid the bills and have time for a little nap. Given that I also found time to give dh some 'loving attentions' this morning, surely this all makes me the perfect housewife (except for the fact that the place is a tip, I mean.

weeonion · 21/09/2007 13:37

mmk - of perfect housewife. most days i feel on top of it all but today???? i am still in pjs, our hall floor is covered in tissue paper as i was playing with c, washing is dumped in front of machine, dinner dishes still not done from last night, have a huge spot on chin, trails of long red hair i have shed cover the place, cat is sulking with me, escaped beans from bean bag chair i am/was making are rolling everywhere and i am avoiding calls from work. roll on the weekend???????? oh and giving dp anything - not a chance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wanna meet somewhere or shall i just come to chez luce wheel?

Eddas · 21/09/2007 14:36

Hiya,

If you do another SE meet up I'd love to come(pretty busy now though since dd started preschool every morning)

Also like the idea of secret santa, can see Nutty getting bought an adult nappy

Had some drama here today, dd had to be collected from preschool after only half an hour as she felt unwell and wanted to come home. She then tried to roll ds back onto his back and bent his arm the wrong way. Now he cries when he tries to move it not sure if I should take him anywhere? I think it's ok just bruised as his fingers and arm move a little. DH reckons it probably feels like when you bend your finger the wrong way He's asleep atm so will assess once he's awake. Hopefully the sting will have gone and it'll hurt less poor little thing. I know dd didn't mean too but we have told her SO many times not to roll him

Gotta dash dh saying ds is awake

oooggs · 21/09/2007 15:13

5 kids - fancy another three???

friend coming over in a mo with a 3 week old baby - repeat after me...... NOT HAVING ANYMORE

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2007 15:14

Are you sure oooggs? Sounds like you're willing to be persuaded!

OP posts:
oooggs · 21/09/2007 15:18

no it would mean new car (sounds good!) but I hate being pg, I am so ill with it and I have enough to do. Also when dts go to school they will go together, why would I want to hang around for another year or two to get back on track - no offence Luce - you are a wonder woman

I am also too old and knackered

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2007 15:24

but oooggs

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2007 17:03

have you all gone off to another thread without me?

OP posts:
Eddas · 21/09/2007 17:04

Had to take ds to A&E as he just wasn't moving his arm A doctor looked at him, did all the checks etc and went of to find her senior doctor. Tey agreed he'd need an xray as he cried everytime you touched/bent his elbow. BUT after the 2nd doctor had pulled his arm about a bit it must've set something free and he started to move it again. The xray man didn't want to do it as the arm looked ok so took us back to the doctor who agreed it must've sorted itself from the pulling about the doctor did. So all is well.

DD now seems ok too but I'm stuck in now as we cancelled MIL, ho hum always another night for a curry.

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2007 17:09

Oh no eddas, glad he's OK

OP posts:
oooggs · 21/09/2007 17:14

glad he is ok eddas

naughty katy - she didn't bring the baby - think she needed a break and she was close to tears, she is very tired and I just supported her - she knows where I am

Sexonlegs · 21/09/2007 17:30

Hi ladies

God Eddas, poor ds. Glad he seems ok. Bit of a shock for you all. Hope dd is ok too.

Luce, hope you had a good time with the tribe of kids.

MMK, no wonder you don't want any more. What a journey to get the 2 you have. All credit to you and dh.

Would be great to have a meet up. I just wonder where is best considering CD lives quite a way away. Any thoughts?

Well, had a great trip to the theatre. The Tweenies was great fun, and B was on top form, apart from the fact she sat with her fingers in her ears the whole time! She doesn't like lots of noise - funny considering she is a noisy minx herself!!

Hope you are all well and having a good Friday.
