Night all, have just done a massive read through of the thread to catch up on what I missed - we went to Cambridge to meet dp's mum for a few hours, then took D to visit friends just round the corner, out later than I expected but D let us settle him in his pram at about 8.30, he has stirred but seems to have gone back to sleep in his crib upstairs.

Pillock, glad to hear Pesha arrived safely with you.

CaptainDippy · 22/09/2007 07:07

Morning! Don't think I'll ever get used to these early mornings, esp at the w/e! Bleurgh!

Eddas · 22/09/2007 07:36

morning, crap nights sleep totally agree that I don't think i'll ever get used to early mornings, I have always hated getting up!

DD&DS both have cough and colds now so they were both up and down then DH rolled in and started blathering on(he was drunk) and then doing this weird kicking his legs over me which he seems to do when he's had a few beers so all in all in was a wonderful sleep

I've been really stressing lately about what will happen when i have to go back to work(i've spoken about it before i think) DD used to go to SIL to days a week but didn't think she'd do it again as she now works 7-9am. BUT horah godbless her she can do 3 afternoons for me I am so happy it's ridiculous. It was starting to keep me awake all this worry All I have to do now is see if my boss will agree(and it would mean me having to do 3 hours from home to make up all the time) I'm going to ring on monday whilst dd is at preschool, fingers crossed

What's everyone planning for today? I'm not doing ANYTHING, unless a friend(EAH) pops over. DH will be in bed, then off to footie

Supposed to be having my dad and step mother round for dinner but i'm so tired and it's only 7.30 do you think it's rude to cancel? Might say i'm not well either?

liath · 22/09/2007 07:57

What a pants night Eddas, definitely time to invent a cold for youself I think! Is Ds's arm back to normal?

Ds slept the longest he's ever slept last night - 7pm to 5.30am. Unfortunately it meant I was engorged when he fed so he swallowed loads of air and did a massive vomit. By the time I'd cleared up and finally pursuaded him back to sleep dd woke up. Typical !

Tumbletots this morning then an under fives "fun day" at the commonwealth pool - not sure how much "fun" that'll be with half of Edinburgh's toddlers mobbing the place but we shall see!!

StealthPolarBear · 22/09/2007 08:05

Morning everyone
Yes Eddas you sound far too tired! Good luck for Monday, hope your boss goes for it.
liath, yuk at cleaning up vomit but hopefully the sleeping thing will happen again
Well e're off to look at houses today

Ergh Eddas, horrid to be facing the day on not enough sleep. Happens all too frequently here too. Cancel dinner if you're not feeling up to it - you'll only spend all day stressing and feeling resentful and wanting to go to bed. I had to cancel a friend and her dd coming round after school this week as I'd had such a bad night's sleep and felt so rough....don't feel bad

Right, better get on. Off for a walk around Wimbledon Common today - dh has organised a charity walk there so gotta go and show my support.

Oh, SE meet up.....when I get back I'll start a new thread so we can discuss it! I think we said somewhere more central this time (Basingstoke?).

Catch you all later, have a fab day all! xxx

Eddas · 22/09/2007 08:12

Liath, his arm seems fine now, thankfully, was weird really.

Thanks to everyone for the concern for him

Know what you mean about clearing up sick, i'm always doing it as ds is a sicky baby(dd was too so would be weird having a baby who doesn't do it)

Hi SPB

think i will ring dad this morning and explain and rearrange them. sure he'll understand.

I think my boss will go for it. i've been there 10 years and he sounded disappointed wgen i said i'd probably not be able to come back. even talk through options of working from home etc, which was nice. he meant all my hors though which would be V hard, the 3 hours i'm going to suggest would be fine. I have texted a collegue to see what she thinks he'll say. Wish it was a weekday today, I hate waiting
