Hi all, Just been to the musical bit at the end of a messy play and music session and then to the library to look for some new bedtime stories. D's had a bit of a nap, and I'm sure he'll wake up any minute and be due feeding and changing.

Maveta, hope Thursday's appointment goes ok. I don't know what I'd do in your position, probably give it a try if I had the language skills, but the suggestion to talk to your parents about what they want to ask in advance seems good. Will someone be able to help with N if you and your mum are both with your dad?

CD, sorry to hear things are getting to you. What's happened with the baby shop job?

maveta · 11/09/2007 14:11

Hi Liath, Dippy, Lucewheel, SOL, Elkie!

Thanks, I think I will just go and be the main translator, I´m sure it will be okay. Elkie - my little sister is over at the moment so she can look after N while we´re all in with the doctor, so that´s lucky.

Luce - good luck with the toilet training when you start back up again. Liath - good luck with the knickers!

CD - sorry things are a bit glum, hope things work out ok with the shop

SOL - that does sound like a pain, how long do the part days last? Must be annoying having to load K into the car everytime too..

We´re both exhausted (dh and I) after last night´s antics (Noah´s not ours, sadly) so dh is sleeping now and it´s almost my turn.. yay!

hi everyone
maveta, sorry no advice but i see your dilemma. I think only you know if you'll cope. As someone else has mentioned is it worth having someone there to support you?
CD oh no, why do you think you've lost your job? Hope you haven't.
elkie, sounds like you've had a baby filled day! Me too, we've been to look round a nursery, which was very good, nothing to compare it too so far but it seemed really nice.

StealthPolarBear · 11/09/2007 18:34

Anyone around tonight?

elkiedee · 11/09/2007 18:38

I'm so sorry, that's horrible news. I don't think Vio and I were active here at the same time, but I actually had a look at some of the old threads when she and her son were mentioned, and was very saddened by reading her posts about his condition.

elkiedee · 11/09/2007 18:41

SPB, I'm here, or will be later, D is looking as if he needs putting to bed properly.

StealthPolarBear · 11/09/2007 18:45

bed at 7?

StealthPolarBear · 11/09/2007 18:46

although we were allowed to lie in until 8.20 this morning almost late for nursery!

Sexonlegs · 11/09/2007 19:05

Hi. I am thrilled to report dh has come back earlier (was due back tomorrow night). I cried with joy!!

Hope everyone is ok. xx

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/09/2007 19:15

hi all
have emailed the sad news about Vio and baby James so everyone will get it

elkiedee · 11/09/2007 19:15

SPB, we have been known to start putting D to bed at 6.30, I'm only lounging about here because he's not actually grizzling at me at this moment. It takes a while though, particularly if I'm doing it on my own - as bedtime routine normally includes a bath (as part of getting him ready for bed more than anything, and he seems to enjoy it and often stops grizzling), warming and offering as much of a feed as he'll take, reading a story (that's the fun bit for a bookworm with severely curtailed reading time), and waiting time when he settles. I have had him fall asleep almost as soon as he went into the bedroom, but last night we ended up eating very late.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 11/09/2007 19:17

sorry SPB, Joe goes down at 6.30 too
swiftly followed by Matthew at 7

elkiedee · 11/09/2007 19:18

Do you do night feeds, Pillock?
