Peshatlast · 10/09/2007 22:30

IDOC - love your pics really have to find all the various bits of my door bouncer and try D in it.

POTC - Yes I do have the pics dont I They are on main computer which has no internet connection as yet but they're also on a cd somewhere so will have a look when I get half a chance. Pmsl at your lost spider! I did similar yesterday and trapped one that was in the bath under a cup so I could wash my hair, forgot about it and when we got home DD found it so she put it outside for me!

Nutty - dont go (you know you cant stay away, noone can, the pull is too strong! )

Hello everyone else

So who liked my pics then?!? There are so many btw cos my phone does 'burst' where it takes 4 pics straight after each other and they were all so cute I just stuck em all on, even the blurry ones

Think his 2nd tooth is also just about to make an appearance And he is still all snuffly And he gets much worse wind (from both ends) than the other 2 ever did and so suffering with tummy ache quite abit lately. So we had terrible night last night, he woke at 1.30 and was feeding on and off from then until I had to get up at half 7. Anytime I tried to put him down he'd sleep for maybe 10 mins and then start shouting at me. So I really have to go bed in a minute!

Saw a friend's (ish!) baby earlier who was born 2 days after D, she weighs 13lb 8 (2lb heavier than D) but her head is still smaller than D's was at birth!!! She was very cute though and they had a nice little chat for a while before D decided he was hungry again and it was time to get him home!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/09/2007 22:31

AngeG · 10/09/2007 22:37

Hello all

Sorry I haven't been around, have been lurking a bit, but am not finding the time to be able to post.

All ok here. It was Jake's 4th birthday today...can't believe he is 4!! We've had a good day, pre-school this morning and then some of his friends round to play this afternoon.

Hope everyone ok, can't rememeber much I'm afraid.

IDOC - S looks like she really enjoys the door bouncer, tried Izzy in one at work last week and she hated it, screamed and screamed I was surprised as she generally loves being on her feet.

Ellie - Hope the christening went well yesterday. I was thinking of you.

Mammyjo - Hope your first day back at work goes ok.

Nutty - Hope you're ok. Maybe I'll be able to catch up with you on MSN.

WO - also at you being interviewed by the nursery.

SPB - Hope it goes ok with you looking round the nursery. Glad you enjoyed the chocs

Elkie - Hope MIL is ok and that you are managing without DH around so much.

Dippy - Thinking of you hon, hope the cloud lifts for you.

Dooby - Hope you manage to unpack! Good to see you.

SOL - Glad B's first day went well. Hope K is better for you tomorrow.

Pesha - PMSL at your attempts at tooth photos. D looks gorgeous! Hope you have a better night tonight.

Hello GMM fellow lurker

Liath - Glad you had a good week away.

Runny - How are you? So no suggestions to get W to feed more during the day. Hope he swaps around soon.

Eddas - Hope you have a great holiday.

Sorry that ended up being a mammoth catch up and I remembered most of it without checking back.

AngeG · 10/09/2007 22:46

Ooops X posts Pesha...why shouldn't you be here?

Peshatlast · 10/09/2007 22:50

I should be tucked up in bed sleeping while I've got the chance!

And I get no sympathy from dp for being tired if I've been up half the night on MN! Which is fair enough I suppose!

AngeG · 10/09/2007 22:50

You're not anymore obviously

maveta · 11/09/2007 08:16

Morning! dashing in while N is sleeping.. been having a rotten time of it lately re. nights. He used to wake up only once and had even had a couple where he went all night and for the last 2 weeks he´s been waking up 2-3 times a night. I´m finding it really hard work. Just hope it passes soon.. apart from that he´s a happy, smiley wee boy. I find it quite cute that he´s becoming so much clearer in his own mind about what he wants/likes and vice versa! Makes for a demanding baby but I like that he knows what he wants

Counting down the days this week, next week dh is off for 2 weeks and that takes me right up to starting work. Am very nervous about leaving N although I know I´ll probably enjoy the time away from the house and all things baby. And it´s only 3 days a week until April AND I´ve got all of december off so I´m definitely easing back into it We´re supposed to go visit my older sister in london during dh´s holidays but I´m not sure if we can go depending on what happens with my Dad. No change on that front, just waiting til thursday when we meet the surgeon. In fact, some advice would be great:

My parents want me to be the translator in the meeting as they don´t speak spanish. My sister thinks they should ask someone else in case I find it upsetting but although she´s mentioned it to them a few times they are still saying they just want me to go. I think I would prefer not to be the main translator - what if he says something I´m not expecting to hear and I start crying and can´t translate??! - but I want them to be comfortable and if they want me to do it I will. What would you do?

I´ve just skimmed to try and catch up and it´s all fallen out the other side of my head. lol. Except -
Eddas have a fab holiday!
Liath hello! here I am!
IDOC - I have a calin bleu wrap sling and it´s really great and very easy, much more so than I thought at first, N promptly falls asleep everytime I put him in it.
Pesha - cool photos - very cute tooth (and D too, of course!)
Nutty - ?! Get back here young lady - I need someone to tell me about fluffles...
Hello hello hello to everyone else, will try and keep up a bit better but between baby and dh and house and cats and mum and dad blah blah blah, well, you know.. x

liath · 11/09/2007 08:31

Hi Maveta! I'd probably translate but I have a medical background so would probably be able to switch into professional mode. If you do go it's worth writing a list of questions first that your parents specifically want answered.

J had a relapse last night too - up four times. Not long till weaning now, have been perusing the BLW website for handy hints!

IDOC - I love my ergo sling and it has very good lumbar support (I have a bad back so really need a comfy sling). It doesn't forward face when used as a front carrier but ds seems happy looking out the side and once he's on my back he'll face forward. It can be a hip carrier too.

It's another beautiful sunny day up here, we're definitely having an Indian summer - lovely .

Pillockofthecommunity, that has to be the best nickname ever - I love the word pillock, it gets used a lot in my family .

Dd is in knickers today - wish me luck!

CaptainDippy · 11/09/2007 09:20

All the best with the knickers, Liath! DD2 is toilet training too, she is doing so well, bless her - Want to get her trained before she starts Pre-School in Jan.

Tricky one, Maveta - In some ways, perhaps you shouldn't translate cos you are too closely involved; but in some way you should translate cos you know what to say and you will make sure the right questions get asked and the right stuff gets said, iykwim!!? Sorry, that is probably singularly unhelpful. If you think you can cope, I would translate ...... What is happening to N when you go back to work?

I need to get a job, finances are very bad atm. Think I may have lost my job at the baby shop too. Loooooooooong story ...... Things are not good. Not good at all. Feeling ok enough though; just a bit panic-y .....

Sorry, self-indulgent!

Glad you liked the parcels Pillock! He WILL like the shoes - He WILL like the shoes ........

Hi Luce! Sometimes a break is just what you need to crack the old toilet training, imho! Thanks for thr hugs - appreciated .... Off to be a lady what does lunch ....

Sexonlegs · 11/09/2007 12:24

Hi all. Just a quick one.

CD, why do you think you have lost your job? Hopefully not. Hugs to you.

Liath, good luck with the toilet training.

Luce, good to see you.

All ok here, but feel v tearful. Just tiredeness and the whole emotion of B starting school etc. I hate this part day thing, as I get nothing done, and just spend the day traipsing backwards and forwards to school. Dh being away is hell too. I really have no idea how people cope on their own. x
