Cant believe it is nearly the end of August!! Tis my Wedding Anniversary on Fri - blimey!!

Katy, hope T goes ok with his injections today. I was glad to get the last ones over and done with, none for a good while now!

BF counsellor came to see me today. She reckons it must be thrush as there is nothing else it really could be IYKWIM. She checked Ffion's latch which she said was fine, so positioning not an issue. She phoned surgery and I can pick up a prescription this afternoon - result! Hoping that this will sort it out once and for all! Fed of feeding with pain all the time and really really dont want to give up bf.

Looks like I will be going back to work in a few weeks . Not overjoyed to go, but am using up some of my KIT days. I normally work 10 hour days but this way I can work less hours and only one day a week. Am starting to think that if I leave it til November to go back (which is actually when my leave ends) it will be much harder. I would have to go back straight away to working long days too, so I hope that this way it will break both me and Ffion in gently!

He presents a program called tribe, where he goes and lives with various tribes and learns about their cultures. It's really interesting and he's v sexy IMO!!!

How many years CD? Also, who is bruce parry?

hi mammyj - i was wondering how it went for you today! good news - at least now you know what the dificulty has been. the laleche website has a really good section on thrush. a few of us here have had it - so there is plenty of support around. i know what you mean about not wanting to feed with pain - back to being able to enjoy it!

norma - did you see tribe last night?? i agree with you on bruce parry but he somehow always makes me think me of someone who should be an older brothers best friend??

Not overly looking forward to going back to work, but think it may be the best way to get both of us used to being apart, since I can just work one day a week. Havent tried her with a bottle for ages, so plan to do that soon. Am expressing like a fool now to try and build up a little stash. Also plan to take my pump to work and express off just once or twice through the day. That way she will have feeds for the following week. If it doesnt work very well, then I know that I dont HAVE to do the KIT days and could wait til November.

Anyone got any tips for good bottles to try with breast feeders? I have some new avent ones, the same as I used with ds but I am sure I remember some of you talking about the tommee tippee ones. Would be grateful for any thoughts

yeah wo - it was actuaaly quite thought provoking....which is something coming from me!!!

Maamyjo, C has has a bottle once a day since he was about 6 weeks, we use the tomy tippeee ones and havent had any problems - not used any other ones mind, but they were recommended to me by a friend

these? There are some other, less specialist ones that I have seen people using as well - think you can get them from Mothercare ....

Luce - glad to hear you feel the pressure is easing a bit now they're back to school etc.

Norma - Also have to say we've had MUCH LESS leaky poos with reusables. Just this am I was thinking, when I heard him do his morning poo in his cot , how we used to have to jump up to pick him up as it usually leaked everywhere. Not anymore! Eh norma

Although on the other hand, I'm running seriously low with all this rain they just WONT DRY!!! Ahhhhhh...

sol - hope you had a nice time with the family. at not seeing them for so long. Do you/would you ever go there to visit???

elkie - i can't function without breakfast. Or mid-morning toast and coffee for that matter Can you believe I eat a whole avocado every morning. Wierd I know! I do have it blended up with frozen raspberries, grapes, soya milk and maple syrup though! Delish (sounds like something Maveta would have actually )

CD - hope the swimming is ok. Sounds like those girlies are in handful mode today! And at who is Bruce Parry!! You need to watch Tribe. It's my absolute favourite programme!!!! Aren't you back at work already???

MJ - hope that the end is finally in sight for the boob saga!! Make sure you treat both of you, or you re-infect.
