hello ladies! sorry i hvaen't been onlibne much lately. fran had lovely birthday on thursday, she is now a very grown up 2yr old and she in big girl's bed tonight (well, dp took sides off and put low end on cos i haven't had chance to do it yet)
sorry about your exam dm - erm, what was it for again?!

fransmom · 28/04/2007 20:44

and.......... (long sorry )

sis was supposed to visit today. originally told my bro she was visitin me and i only found out when he told me. when i managed to get in touch with her, she said she would have to let me know. fair enough.

now, i know that my brother told me that she'd asked him when he was going home, he said satday (today), {he'd made the effort to visit cos of dd's bday}.she then said to him that oh well, it's not worth me going down then if you're not going to be there.
(he didn't leave until after 6pm fgs)

from tehn until now, i have been unable to get intouch with her, her mobile ansa phone clicks in at different places and there was no answer on her land line. she couldn't even be bothered to pick up the phone and tell me she wasn't coming

i am so angry with her, she makes the effort to see her friend's family (a good2hr drive away) but cannot make the effort to come and see her 2yr old niece on her bday weekend unless my bro was going to still be here. she has seen her only a handful of times since she was born 2years ago ffs!

fransmom · 29/04/2007 20:41

i killed the thread..........

wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

toytownmum · 29/04/2007 20:43

FM - Happy belated Birthday to Fran, very impressed that you have taken the brave step to make cot into bed, DS2 I believe will be in a cot as long as possible.

Like I've said before - families, DON'T let them get you down.

TTM x x x

fransmom · 29/04/2007 20:44

thanks ttm - i know. have decided to let her get on with it and not let it upset me anymore

fransmom · 29/04/2007 20:45

bit stressful tonight but it's just cos it's new thing for her

toytownmum · 29/04/2007 20:51

I remember when we made DS1's cot into a bed, I was very nervous but he was very good and even now (he was 3 in feb) he stays in bed until you go into him in the morning. I just don't expect it to be that smooth with DS2.

TTM x x

fransmom · 29/04/2007 20:53

then it mite go better than you expect.......

toytownmum · 29/04/2007 21:03

It may well do, but I won't get excited, I will let you know when I am brave enough

Very very belated happy birthday to Fran.

Ahh the cot to a bed issue..... Jack is still in his cot and we hadnt really put a date on when we would turn it into a bed as he hasnt ever tried to escape.....that is until yesterday!! God knows how he did it? He did it in the morning when i put him in to as a punishment for being naughty and then he did it again last night when he didnt want to go to sleep. Have just struck a deal with dh that if he does it every night this week then we will turn the cot into a bed this weekend. We have kind of been waiting for Jack to tell us he is ready and i guess this is a good a sign as any! I am working on the same idea for potty training!

Darciesmum · 02/05/2007 13:59

Very Happy belated birthday to Fran

Sorry not been around been sooooooooo busy.
the cot to bed issue Darcie has been in single bed since she was mths old, so never had a problem there.
Potty Training am waiting for week of good weather and then going to start.

Meet up weekend of June 16th i can't do but all rest seem fine to me

ah thank you x

i found that if i read a story to fran while we are both sitting on her bed (i ask her first if i can sit down)while she holding th ebook and then she leafs thru it and we chat about the pictures. we then chat for a while about nothing in particular or anything she wants to talk about, then she settles a lot easier than she has done when we settled her like we did when the sides were still on.

hope all are ok.x

verso am thinking of you sweetheart x

Darciesmum · 04/05/2007 14:28

aww bless her.

how r u all?

OP posts:
fransmom · 04/05/2007 20:55

not too bad thanx - but she had a bad nightmare tonight and took ages to settle again what do little kids dream about that upsets them so?

i heard fran singing and talking this morning - she even stayed in bed til i went to get her!

toytownmum · 05/05/2007 00:40

FM - Glad the bed is generally going well, still not brave here yet Don't think it will be long though, he now goes into his brothers bed and says My bed, My bed.

Hope everyone is well, not long to our meetup now

TTM x x x

fransmom · 05/05/2007 20:06

ttm sounds like ds2 is dropping a not so subtle hint

hows things with everyone else? fm x

Darciesmum · 06/05/2007 12:44

Hiya FM darcie has Nightmares to but not sure what about. But she soons settles after a cuddle.

TTM- be brave and put LO into a bed hehe
AM- Howz things with you?

Whens the Meet up have we decided the date yet?? i know its Gunwharf (the last time i checked)

Well i'm seeing someone , i work with him His name is Andy, 32, tall blonde hair blue eyes. Its going well and kinda nice at the moment as we are keeping it secret from ppl at work at the moment so is really hard to try and stop saying things to each other hehe, as most ppl think we've never really had a conversation, although would love to see the surprise on their face if they knew what was going on hehe

Darcie is in Knickers today and not wet herself yet but is still early in the day.

OP posts:
fransmom · 06/05/2007 12:52

hi dm, i don't hink there's much any1 can really do about nightmares atm tbh jsut be ready with cuddles until they're a bit older then explain anything that they worried about

ttm come on you can do it!

congrats to darcie! tho my dp is not brave enough yet - we might leave it til she bit more ready and it's bit warmer outside
tho she did tell me yesterda, in a shop with no customer toilet that she wanted her potty and a wee-wee

Darciesmum · 07/05/2007 10:50

FM-well done to Fran for telling you she needed to go.
Darcie went on the potty yesterday then about 15mins later didn't tell anyone she needed it again and wet herself she knew what she was doing to as she smiled!

OP posts:
fransmom · 09/05/2007 21:02

how is she now?

toytownmum · 09/05/2007 23:07

Still no bed

Nearly did it over the weekend, but then he was such a little pickle picking on DS1 - who is 3.3yrs, but the same size as him, (DS1 was born at 29wks and weighed 2lb 11oz and then 14 months Ds2 was born at 41wks weighing 9lb 15 1/2 oz!!) That we chickened out and decided to delay for a while
Hope everyone is well.. DM how is the new man?

TTM x x x

aprilmeadow · 10/05/2007 09:38

DM - how's things going with your new man? And how is D getting on with potty training?
