LO has just had her first lot of injections, 1 oral and 3 jabs I'm sure my 6yo only had 1 jab for her first lot 6 years ago ahh I cried, I felt so bad she was OK after a few minutes though 🤗

teainbed · 08/08/2017 15:47

@1004Rise indeed 😂 btw your Baby Opera has had very good reviews might take a look!

@dreamofhungarianlanterns oops! I'm sorry you thought I'd thought that. Shock In RL I talk too much....😬

@1004Rise - I looked through the website at tons of fringe shows to find something for my 2yo, but I hadn't thought about taking the baby to any! It's a shame they're all so expensive, I've ended up not booking anything. Maybe next year.

Naps are getting shorter here, which is depressing when it can take a good 20-30 mins of walking round the living room to get her to sleep in the first place Angry. On the plus side I'm getting my 10,000 steps by barely leaving the house 👍

I vaccinated for everything and paid for chicken pox vaccine for DS, will do the same for DD when she's 12m.

p51642 · 08/08/2017 17:42

what are fringe shows if you don't mind me asking? :)

dreamofhungarianlanterns · 08/08/2017 17:46

Tea Grin welcome p (starting to sound like a poem!)

Vanilla I got measured in bravissimo this weekend also a 32H felt great in the shop but wore it out yesterday and felt trussed up like a turkey. Need bra extenders I think. Back in my ill fitting (bought when newly pg) mothercare 2 for £30 today Hmm

Turned up a day early for 12 week jabs today ConfusedBlush

1004Rise · 08/08/2017 17:56

@Acorncat the best day we had at the fringe was when we set ourselves a budget of less than £5 a ticket, we ran from one end of the town to the other and in some of them we were the only people in the audience but we had a great time 😊 Needless to say it was only the two of us then 😉 The opera was on the tv last night (I think reporting Scotland) and they had interviewed parents afterwards the babies really looked like they got a lot out of it. It's coming back to Glasgow after the fringe so I think we may look at tickets then.

I've decided I need a new activity monitor I get no steps for pram pushing which is currently my main form of exercise. I don't think we're getting shorter naps but they're definitely getting further apart!

@dreamofhungarianlanterns baby brain in full swing then! At least you were early and not late!

teainbed · 08/08/2017 19:01

@p51642 the Edinburgh Fringe is the arts festival on during August. There's quite a bit of kids stuff on. I was tempted by Baby Loves Disco....

Oops @dreamofhungarianlanterns ! We have the 3rd lot on Thursday and that's it until next year which is quite exciting.

WishIWasSleeping · 09/08/2017 14:21

@1004Rise - can you pop it on your ankle when your pram walking?

1004Rise · 09/08/2017 14:41

@WishIWasSleeping tried that, and in my pocket doesn't seem to like it. My mum, Dad and DH all get steps on theirs... mine is about 4 years old so I think the newer ones are smarter.... good excuse for a new one anyway 😉

teainbed · 09/08/2017 19:29

Did it go ok @dreamofhungarianlanterns ?

@1004Rise buggy walks are good! That's all I'm getting just now despite my plans! My joints still seem really lax. My older DC are back in school next week so hopefully I'll manage a bit more then.

Afternoon ladies

Hope you are all well. Feeling slightly pants despite the lovely weather (probably because I know it's gonna piss it down tomorrow and nate has his jabs in the morning). Trying to cheer myself up with a latte and a slice of lemon & blueberry cake before picking Emma up from nursery. She's been a bit down because most of her nursery friends have left and she's getting more reluctant to go in. I let her stay at home on Monday and will take her out of nursery next Thursday & Friday as we've got family visiting. Both myself and dh feel that she'll benefit from continuing nursery until she starts school but she knows how to pull at the heartstrings when I try to get her ready in the morning!

Are any of you noticing that your baby might outgrow their moses basket soon? Nate's turned 13 weeks and I think we've got a month's worth of use if we're lucky. Am contemplating getting a cot bed but I know that he'll look tiny in it plus it would need to go in the spare bedroom, as it's too big for our room. Dh isn't keen on getting a crib in the meantime. Just wondered how you guys have navigated this situation?

Apologies for the long post xx

1004Rise · 10/08/2017 16:50

@teainbed I got the book bug stuff today too, I'm impressed! Grin Did baby tea get the 5 in 1 or the 6 in 1? The HV told me today that we'll get the 5 in 1 but to ask the nurse about getting the missing hep B since the 6 in 1 is only for babies born after the 1st August.....

@jennymac31 we have a Moses basket downstairs for baby Rise but she doesn't look like she's got long left in it (12 weeks). I have a next2me in the bedroom that will last a good bit longer but since she was measured today and her length is on the 91st centile I have my fingers crossed that she doesn't too get much longer too quickly!

Acorncat · 10/08/2017 18:15

@teainbed @1004Rise did you get book bug stuff earlier? I got a bag from the HV when she was a few weeks old, wondering if it's the same one you guys got or if I'm due another one.

2nd jags today. I meant to ask about the 6 in1 but forgot, I presumed we've missed out again as just got 5 in 1

teainbed · 10/08/2017 19:31

Today we got four books, including the buggy one, a cup, tooth brushing kit, flash cards, a weaning guide, a calendar and a CD. And the bag. Pretty amazing.

teainbed · 10/08/2017 19:34

Sorry it was 5 in 1 today.

@jennymac31 we were out of the Moses basket by 7 weeks and into a normal sized cot.

BabyTea woke a bit hot as I'd let him sleep through when he should have had his second Calpol. He's really cheered up now but I felt a bit bad for him.

1004Rise · 10/08/2017 22:10

@Acorncat I got what @teainbed got, but sounds like we're all getting them at different times, maybe HV dependant....

Adventuregame · 10/08/2017 22:47

We've had to move into normal size cot too. He couldn't relax his arms to the side any longer in Moses basket. We're lucky enough to be able to fit cot in our bedroom until he moves into own room. He looks so little inthe cot tho and this week we're on hols so he's been in travel cot.

Acorncat · 10/08/2017 22:53

Aw I didn't get the tooth brush or the cup, just the books, calendar and some card finger puppet things.

Barnes79 · 11/08/2017 08:45

I've been a bit AWOL for the last few days, but that's because baby barnes has been sleeping!!! 😱 No more hourly wake ups, we're getting 10/11ish until 6/7ish with a 3ish feed *touches wood. It's remarkable.

However we're now 36hrs without poop (quite a contrast from the 2-4 a day we were having) so his feeding is getting a bit erratic which worries me with his low weight centile. He did down about 7oz at 3am so trying to not worry. Plus if he doesn't poop for 2 days before his next weigh in he may put on a whole lb rather than his usual 4-5oz. 😂😂

teainbed · 11/08/2017 09:04

@Barnes79 that's great news! My DD2 used to poo once a week it was a huge event in our house!

We had a good night too but I suspect it was fever and calpol fuelled than sleeping ability!

EsmesBees · 11/08/2017 09:32

That is fantastic Barnes. Did you start doing something differently or did it just happen?

I'm not well and have both girls to look after today. Parenting while ill is one of my least favourite parts of the job. I just want to go back to bed.

Barnes79 · 11/08/2017 17:07

Esme The only difference is a change to dairy free from Saturday. We had a grouchy baby Sat-Mon but Mon night onwards he's been sleeping loads better. I don't know if it's due to that or the fact he's 12wks old tomorrow...

teainbed · 11/08/2017 18:42

Either way it's good @Barnes79 !

@mightymouse76 hope you're doing ok?
