Just popping my head round the door to say there's a line! Shock

Trying not to be as anxious as last time (ds's pregnancy coincided with quite a bit of sad pregnancy news around me so I was disproportionately worried for the first 3m!!)

Whoop! Lovely news:) I love that people share their lines when they get them here rather than waiting until twelve weeks! X

Woohoo Biscuits! Yey for that!!

I just found out today my lovely neighbour who has a little girl 3 months older than dd is 15 weeks pregnant. I was very excited for her. I'm not seeing this is being broody in the slightest. Denial is wonderful

For Christmas dd is having new bedding wrapped up (her big, big girls bed should be arriving this week) she needs new bedding anyway, so one lot is being wrapped up. She has some Bing books, new pjs and peppa pig book (for Christmas Eve) and that will be it from me.
My parents will go ott on things, they always do. Mum has spent the last week telling me she has found more things she had forgotten about.
Her knobhead bellendexcuse of a dad asked what he could get her, I suggested a play kitchen for her play house she has under the stairs, I believe last week he 'couldn't find one' so who knows what she'll end up with from him.Angry

What ever tho, she'll be spoilt. Hopefully with things she needs but there will be some she won't and I'll curse at having to find space for.

Thanks everyone :) I have spent most of today pretending to work but actually not really concentrating on anything. Having said that, I don't have the same holy crap feeling that I had first time yet

DS is getting (from grandparents) a toy kitchen for Xmas. We're planning on getting him a balance bike (if one of us remembers to do something about it!). He will get a few crafty things and books too, and I used a random Boden voucher that they had sent me to get him a jolly top and trousers. We're trying in minimise the amount of crap that ds gets. Luckily most people are asking us what to get him. That helps a lot!

Yaaaaaaay Biscuits. That's great news - we'll have to meet up for coffee during mat leave.

Lil is getting a baby annabell and some playdoh stuff. I feel mean and that I should get her more but she also gets spoiled by her aunties and uncles and my parents.

Fantastic news, Biscuits!! Congrats! We need to get our play date 2 organised - it's slipped off the radar!

So, Christmas. Keir is getting a whole load of Thomas stuff (track, engines, cranes, sheds, etc) that I got on eBay, plus a Cosy Coupe Dino car and a Peppa Pig house that is constructed out of Lego-like stuff!

I can really recommend the 'You've been a tit' workout when 6 months pregnant. Got my car stuck in the snow a mile from home at the bottom of a deep glen and had to abandon the car. Lily and me walked home with me wearing stupid ballet pumps. She was great until she realised I'd forgotten her blankie. She's made me promise to walk back first thing in the morning.

God I wish i could drink wine.

Oh no Sunny! That's rubbish (and only a tiny bit funny....) Hope you've dried off now. Will email you and Sunbeam re meeting up :)

I had a miserable drive home from work....loads of country roads and no snow plough had been so not a single spot of road or marking in sight. Took ages and in my newly under caffeinated state was extra tiresome!

How is everyone?
I'm having a survival day. DH has flu and is stuck in bed. I'm knackered. DS slept really badly last night so I'm running on c4.5hrs sleep. We're currently camped out at the local play cafe to let DH rest and keep germs at bay for DS and myself.

I'd forgotten how agonising early pregnancy is. Not enough symptoms to feel v pregnant but as it's only early days I know that's not unusual. But sigh. Looking forward to a scan in c6-7 wks time!!

I went out last night and although I dodged feeling rough, I've been exhausted today!

I detest all of pregnancy. Means to an end, and that's it. When is your booking in appt, Biscuits?

It's on the 30th Dec. Quite handy as will be off work anyway so no need to blag half a day off work to attend (I have a 50min commute each way) Am done in tonight. Already in pjs and off to bed in a jiffy!

The best days are......days when everyone has an afternoon nap. Yep I'm not particularly enjoying this pregnany either. Tired, feel rubbish a lot of the time, want to drink beer and wine, bored of being fat etc etc.

Biscuits if you've got any morning sickness I highly recommend you avoid Dobbies. Was in today and the yankee candle stand almost made me heave and I haven't had morning sickness in months.

Just finished making Lil's Christmas dress and now I need to crack of with the dress for Baby Annabell Grin

Thanks for the tip off Sunny! Nausea is starting to kick in, trying to perfect the balance of not getting too hungry cause that sets it off, and not eating too much because that sets it off too. And appear subtle at work where there are plenty of eagle-eyed souls who would suss me in a jiffy given half a chance!

Smile My saving grace is a private office. So long as I appear outside of it periodically and don't make my lunches too weird then I might just get away with it...

Good luck Biscuits - hope it passes soon....

Private office? Luxe. That never happens in my world. Nor does lunch, often, though you wouldn't know it from looking at my lardarse.

J hasn't pooped for three days now. Any tips? Although he managed to wee in the potty for the first time ever (OMG miracle!) there's no sign on poo. He had an uncharacteristic spew on Monday night then has been right as rain since, bar poo. We've given him 5ml of lactulose this morning and sent him off to nursery....good luck to them!

What is everyone doing for Xmas?

Report
Biscuitswithtea · 16/12/2015 18:27

Raeside we've had the opposite problem! Not an upset tummy as such but a lot of full explosive nappies. It seemed to be worse when he was mainlining 2-3 soupy weetabix a day. Maybe that would help loosen things up a bit?!?

We're at home for xmas, with the inlaws arriving on Thursday afternoon. We finish work on Wed, and then not back until the new year. Can't wait!!! Not remotely organised but I don't really mind. It will all come together :)

Have spent the last couple of days feeling remarkably unpregnant until DH makes dinner suggestions to me I'm sure that will all change soon...

Rae I hope you have the pooping under control now?

We're at the ILs this weekend for Christmas mark I. Went to a lovely carol service on the green last night with a lovely colliery brass band. Blubbed my way through away in a manger - I'm such a hormonal mess right now Blush

Back at work next week for a couple of days and then we're at my mum's on Christmas day with my sister's family as well. They've got a massive house so its much easier. I'm doing pudding and have a major chocolate craving so not sure how much I'll eat while making it Grin

Yes poops back to normal thank god!

We are babysitting a v good friend's 2yr old this weekend. Bugger ever having twins. (And I say that on the back of both kids being actually v well behaved...).

Biscuitswithtea · 20/12/2015 14:01

Twins must be hard work! But lovely at times too, no doubt.

Currently camped out with ds. He has had a virus for a few days with high temps, but has reached new levels this avo of 40.1 Shock Giving him all the calpol & ibuprofen that he is allowed and hoping they work soon.

That reminds me re Calpol. The dose increases I think once they turned two? We haven't actually done it yet because DS is so light. He's probably getting on for 11kg now...but that's a lot less than 'average' which I assume calpol doses are based on? What do you wise ladies reckon?
