I'm happy today. Not because the weather is lovely...but. because I'm laying an egg earlier than last month so I'll actually have a proper LP Wink

Eek! Legs in the air tonight then pear? Grin

An acquaintance of mine has just had a baby so now my facebook feed is full of pictures of adorable squishiness. Envy It's weird, in my head I want a pink one. I'd love to be pregnant again, to have another chance to be more assertive over the birth & to traipse around breastfeeding the baby in the sling while HEing the boys... but whenever I think about the future, when Calf's about 10-12yo, there's just the 2 of them. It's like I can't imagine the thing I think I want so maybe I would be happy to stick with just 2. But I want a pink one. Could someone tell me what would make me happy please?! ConfusedGrin

Where's Kitty got to? Haven't seen her for ages!

Calf's routine seems to have disintegrated & I'm coming down with a cold so I don't have the energy to fight to get it back! He had a bad night Sunday when he had a sore throat & a couple of bad dreams so yesterday I let him sleep in the afternoon, he was up until nearly midnight last night humping the floor & has had another nap today so tonight's going to be bad too! Urgh.

bringonthetrumpets · 21/04/2015 20:30

Oooohh! Exciting news pear! Fingers crossed for you!

Oh dear, Agnu The dreaded late nap turning into a late night bit. It's the pits when that happens! I look to the way future when they are adults and how their relationships could be with one another. That's what makes me want to have another. I have 3 siblings and we are very close together in our own specific ways and it's nice to see the relationships that my siblings have to one another as well. So, I do know what you mean....is it worth putting in all that work again?

So, it's snowing here. Hohum. Sad

Lorelei353 · 21/04/2015 20:48

Have fun pear Grin

peardrop2 · 22/04/2015 14:34

Thanks ladies Smile I'm giving it another good go this month! DH and I have our first night away alone in 2 years coming up and I am so excited. Timing just so happens to be perfect as I won't be OPK testing or hiding away with AF! Really naughty thoughts...I can also go to bed early or watch a film in bed without feeling guilty that I'm not Dtd because I'm sure DH will not be that interested after this week Wink Won't be drinking but that's OK as I will be spending lots of ME time in the spa so it will be like a mini health kick night away Smile

Agnu - sorry to hear about your tough evenings! I can't even imagine bpear being physically able to stay awake until midnight. Hope things have got better?

AGnu · 22/04/2015 19:59

Sounds like you've got the perfect night planned pear! I've been fantasising about booking into a hotel by myself for a night. Of course, if I actually did it I'd not sleep all night because I'd be paranoid about someone breaking in to my room... Hmm

Calf's exhausted today. He had nursery earlier & is tired but wound up now. I'm also exhausted huge ridiculous argument with DH at 2am so I'm hiding downstairs & just hoping DH manages to settle them without me having to go up like I usually do when he's on bedtime duties.

bringonthetrumpets · 23/04/2015 14:27

Shhhhhhhhh.......

M slept all night!

peardrop2 · 23/04/2015 15:33

Ahhhh well done M!!! Grin

Lorelei353 · 23/04/2015 16:51

kittykatsforever · 24/04/2015 09:12

I'm here!! Sorry missing in action I keep missing a few days then seams to take so long to catch up
Agnu- thanks for asking tiger did get the school she wanted, I'm in two minds with it as it was the school we logically had to pick for childcare etc as dnephew goes but it wasn't the school I would have picked and non of her best friends are goingHmm I had a good cry but I'm getting over it
Plus both dc have been ill, some kind of viral infection I think and mine are never ill! Other then hand foot and mouth I think this is the first time kitten has thrown up?! Might be wrong but can't remember, she recovered quickly but then tiger caught so a few nights of medi, cuddles crying etc I'm knackered kitten has also started waking earlier I'm sure it's not long til they will be loosing their day naps Hmm
Sorry to heare about calfs friend Agnu, kids say without thinking a lot though, tiger has told me one of her besties had told her she wasn't her friend anymore Hmm I instantly hated her obviously now they are thick as thieves again
Bring your trip away sounds like it's done wonders and yeay for m sleeping through may this be the first of many!Wine
Frus Ohhh exciting new adventure I think we do take for granted what ours can do, it always makes me laugh when I see people not letting their 3 year old go up big slides alone when kitten does lol
Lor- congrats to your brother fx for a sticky bean, have you made any more decisions?
Pear- yeah for laying I hope this is your lucky month! The night away sounds lovely, I'm totally prepared for summer but that's because I have one and buy too much Blush I'm addicted to selling sites
On the iPad front I seem to have escaped that dh possibly let's them when I'm not there but I hate staying inside so there's no chance I'm out at every given opportunity, she sounds so like m though bring she's determined to stay the baby if I ask her she says she wants to be my baby Grin if I say do you want to be a big girl she says no lol she loves cuddling too much!
Tiger in the other hand asked for a new baby the other day and wants another like baby Ali or two Shock

Lorelei353 · 24/04/2015 15:33

No firm decisions but discussions are being had. I do think we're going to go for it quite soon (eek). We do want DS to have a sibling and I don't want to wait any longer as a) I'm old (38) and b) my career is slightly on hold as it's hard to think about progression or new jobs if you think you're going to be going on mat leave in 9 months.

We just want to sit down and work it out a bit but I think we're likely to come down on the side of baby.

bringonthetrumpets · 24/04/2015 15:57

Squeeee! Lor ! Excited. We need to know every.single.detail Grin

Aww sorry to hear the littles are sicky Kitty Hopefully it passes soon. I think we are all fighting something off around here too. Thankfully nothing too bad and horrible, but still enough to just make every feel pretty "meh" and cranky with each other. M is currently wailing at me because I just want to type out this short message and she is trying to climb on top of me and shove her hand down my shirt. Hmm I know one day I'll miss the whole hand-down-the-shirt bit when she's 13, but right now it drives F'ING crazy.

M is also obsessed with climbing into the cat tower and beating the cat over the head with whatever toy she brought with her Confused. I've had to blockade the dining room to keep her out of there. Oiy, I hate Fridays.

peardrop2 · 24/04/2015 20:06

Lor - that's very exciting! Eek Smile Now don't you go getting your BFP before me now will you Smile (joke)

OP posts:
AGnu · 24/04/2015 20:12

Fridays & Mondays are always the worst Bring! & Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays... Tis the weekend now though, or will be soon for those in other time-zones! Grin Anyone got any exciting plans?

Lor if you get a wiggle on you & pear could be BFP-buddies! Not jealous at all, oh no, not me! Wink Maybe a bit of competitive conception is just what's needed to get the sticky beans!

kitty welcome back! Will you be bowing to Tiger's wishes & joining the TTC antics? Wink

peardrop2 · 24/04/2015 23:23

Agnu - my plans are really bad Hmm I am being dragged to my MIL's 70th to celebrate their birthday. I do not want to go and now because of timings I will be S O B E R!!! Help me!!! I will be at a table with 70 year old strangers and my smelly in -laws ?? DH doesn't understand why I'm making such a fuss. Really? Really?!!!!!

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 26/04/2015 02:01

LOL! Pear I totally know what you mean about smelly in-laws. My SIL once said of my MIL and her husband (DH's stepfather) that their house smelled like "veggie farts". And I would have to agree. There is a certain aroma about that place.... Hmm. Have fun at the 70th birffffday party. Sounds like it'll be a gas!

Our exciting plans include DH working, us getting into little spats because we are both apparently PMSing (That's my excuse anyway, I'm not sure what DH's is...), M has a running nose, and the weather is just kinda "meh" again so it's not great for being outside running the kids ragged for bedtime. Uggggghhh. sorry ladies.

peardrop2 · 26/04/2015 06:15

Bring - They're currently touring the world being selfish twats having a retirement blast so I don't think they wash their clothes that often Sad I survived though. It was weird being sober with so many drunk people! They asked me if I was pregnant and said we better get practising SadBlushAngry Oh to be old and say anything you want huh! Glad I didn't drink as Bpear started screaming at 5:30. Teeth no doubt. Sorry you're having a PMS blue weekend Hmm

OP posts:
AGnu · 26/04/2015 10:01

I had lots of plans. Went out for breakfast, collected the food shop, went to another couple of shops... Then went to bed with a migraine before lunch & didn't get up again until the DC were in bed. Today's plans included church, lunch with friends & Calf's biggest fan's birthday party... I'm still in bed with a hot, snuffly Runt snoring on top of me! Sad At least he's stopped crying for now!

bring if it's any consolation, the nice weather's breaking here. I think it's supposed to rain for most of the week & snow a bit up north! We'll all have bored, cooped-up kids in a few days - we can be fed up together! Wink

Lorelei353 · 27/04/2015 12:59

Oh dear Agnu Hope you're feeling better today.

I had a lovely weekend hanging out with my mum who came to visit at short notice. DH looked after DS for lots of the weekend and we went shopping and out for dinner, plus our old tradition of a glass of champers in the champagne bar in Selfridges.. Such fun.

bringonthetrumpets · 30/04/2015 16:39

Well we've been a chatty bunch this week.

Hope everyone is doing alright.

M has mastered going to sleep without complaint, now we are back to waking 1x at night, but thankfully drama-free once she has a bit of water.

Oh, and my parents are getting a divorce. So, hey! exciting shit going on around over here.

peardrop2 · 30/04/2015 20:32

Hola! I'm back from my night away with DH. Bliss! It looks like from my temps that I ovulated much later then my LH surge was telling me so I didn't get a DTD break after all Wink I did however have the best massage and facial EVER!

Bring - oooo I'm sorry to hear that! From what you've shared in the past I'm guessing it wasn't too much of a shock? Hmm My parents divorced when I was little. I can't imagine what it's like when you're older. Probably still just as complicating Sad Great news about M settling now! Weirdly now bpear is really struggling to go to bed at night. He now just wants to read a million books and no matter how many we read it's not enough Grin Tonight I just left him screaming and he calmed down soon enough before I went back in to finish our routine. For once I feel in control!! Woop woop!

Agnu - how are you feeling now? Better I hope!

I'm on the killer 2ww. I've eaten 2 packet of biscuits already Hmm

Lor - sounds like you had a blast! My kind of weekend pre Bpear Smile

Oh and the app problem with bpear is much better now TG. I now just let him play with my phone whilst I'm getting dressed to keep him out of danger as he can't be trusted since he broke our bedroom TV and won't stop slamming my draws and doors. I also occasionally allow him to play when I'm cooking dinner. He no longer wants to watch TV so this is like his 15minutes TV time and as my friend reminded me, I should stop feeling guilty as I take him outside all the time in the garden or to the swings and our local farm. I think sometimes I just panic that I will loose parenting control!
