Grace so true! If I'm finding Jonas difficult I know I need to get down on the floor and play with him. We've also managed to wean him off cbeebies this week ignores the fact he's now obsessed with the snowboarding on the telly! he's much happier and better behaved with no screen time.

BigPigLittlePig · 17/01/2015 20:40

F threw 2 cups of water on the floor the other day. I knew it was because she wanted mummy time (had been washing up, hoovering etc for a while). Wee buggers.

Threw a party for dhs 30th today. Was horrid. All panicky and anxious and on the verge of tears the whole time. Am chilling now in PJs and relishing the quiet. Don't know what's happened to me lately.

Am working tomorrow, which am actually glad about, as the alternative was a christening with 200+ guests (wtaf?! I don't even know that many people) which was filling me with dread.

Elizadoesdolittle · 17/01/2015 21:10

I need to cut E's screen time. She has started asking for it too much and if I don't put the tv on she wants the tablet. She is very good at entertaining herself and will happily play with DD1's playmobil and play doh for ages by herself. But I need to do more with her. Going to take it day by day and will be a bit tricky whilst baby A is at the stage where he is either feeding or wanting to be held, but I'm going to try and have a bit of one to one time with each of the girls.

DD1 had a great time at her party today and both girls were in bed at 6:45. Think the goings on of xmas, new baby and birthdays have taken there toll emotionally and physically. Another birthday party tomorrow morning followed by more visitors. Oh and the midwife is coming to do A's first weigh in. It brings back memories of dread from when I used to have E's weigh ins. Hoping it goes well. He is a sleepy boy but seems to feed well in between so hopefully he'll pass the test.

bplp it's no wonder you're a bit anxious as what you've been through will have a knock on effect. Just take it easy and don't expect too much from yourself x

Passmethecrisps · 18/01/2015 09:18

Good luck with the weigh in eliza

TheRealGracePoole · 18/01/2015 10:26

Good luck eliza, and I wouldn,t be worrying about screen time at the mo for you, you need the hand that cbeebies gives! Although, I limited it to just the Lctonauts this morning and all calmer so far.

YellowWellies · 18/01/2015 10:52

Eliza Jonas had loads of screen time for Lil's first couple of months! We'd got him down to an hour a day by Christmas but weaned him off finally when she was 16 weeks!

Zamboni · 18/01/2015 10:57

Yes likewise - DD's experience of the first months of S's life was v much sponsored by Peppa Pig and chocolate buttons Grin

Having a mass clear out of the loft today. S in seventh heaven over both the loft stick and the lift ladder being available for viewing, (supervised) climbing and cuddles. Grin

Passmethecrisps · 18/01/2015 10:59

I am not complaining, honestly but p has not stopped talking for more than 20 seconds all morning.

We are trying to sort the house for selling and it is piled high with crap. I am almost jealous of DH getting to tidy he kitchen alone while I am followed around by the incessant "mummy. What a doing? Look at me, mummy. I need my wand, mummy" all while also trying to tidy.

I would just like 5 minutes of quiet

Passmethecrisps · 18/01/2015 12:06

Ok. The girl knows how to play me!

She was watching me getting dressed before gasping and saying "oh, mummy you look beeeeootifuuuul!"

Now I feel bad

BigPigLittlePig · 18/01/2015 14:51

Oh Pass I hear ya!

F will also catch me out by suddenly stroking my arm/hair/scarf etc and saying "peeety mummy peeety" Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 18/01/2015 17:33

They're buggers aren't they. I snapped at DD1 this morning (completely irrationally so felt guilty) and once I got dressed she told me I looked lovely. I know it was only due to the sparkles on my top but still.

Weigh in went well. Phew. He's down to 7lbs 13ozs but is within the weight loss amount they allow.

Take away tonight to celebrate was going to be a takeaway night anyway but nice to have a reason for it.

DH is off tomorrow but then is in work Tuesday onwards. That's when the hard work really starts! Although he played golf today and I took them to a kids party so I have had some practice time. Getting them in and out of the car is a mission in itself!

Elizadoesdolittle · 18/01/2015 17:53

And because I know I can be soppy here, can I just mention how fab my little man is. And his sister's have taken his arrival so well. Especially E (I knew DD1 would be fine) but E has also been a little star. Am feeling very lucky and totally in love with my little family Grin

Passmethecrisps · 18/01/2015 18:05

Glad weigh in went well eliza. Enjoy your take away.

P is very hard work at the moment. She cannot have DH and I in separate rooms in the house. If she is with one of us she will be fine for a wee while then Announce "I go get daddy" so she is up and down the stairs all the time trying to drag one up or one down. And the constant wants "I want nanna." "I want sit up there" "I want ganny and gampa" as infinitum.

Passmethecrisps · 18/01/2015 18:06

Oh! And your second post is lovely eliza. I just read it again after writing my whingy one and felt Blush

BigPigLittlePig · 18/01/2015 18:18

Lovely Eliza xx

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 18/01/2015 19:01

Lovely Eliza :)

pass yes they are demanding little buggers darlings aren't they.

I can't complain though. I have read over 400 pages of my novel series this weekend. The girls just wanted to play together. Didn't even want to go out except DD1 for a shopping trip with daddy yesterday.

am still in my pjs

isles7 · 18/01/2015 19:53

Aww eliza !

Today: "I'm not putting my shoes on because I'm an ostrich"

TheRealGracePoole · 19/01/2015 10:44

Just freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzinnnnngggggggg. Is all I have to say.

BigPigLittlePig · 19/01/2015 11:54

Only just got above freezing temps now here.

Wwyd quiche.

MIL and SIL just will not pay attention to the allergy thing. Yesterday dh lost the plot and had to up and leave a party with the kids as SIL kept tying to sneak F food, including mayonnaise and cheese. Wtaf?! And MIL tried to give F sausages made with milk and only didn't because she got "found out" when dh checked,.Her response was literally "oh it'll be ok". How, people, HOW can I educate them?!

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 19/01/2015 14:45

Assuming you have explained in very clear terms why she is not allowed it there's not much you can do except explain again, very forcefully. bollock them

Passmethecrisps · 19/01/2015 18:42

"I have tried to explain this in laymans terms mil and SIL but it still seems to be beyond you that you could cause serious harm by insisting on feeding f the things you do. Therefore, you will not be allowed unsupervised access to her until you can reassure us that you are no longer selfish, stupid twats"

BigPigLittlePig · 19/01/2015 19:48

Grin Pass!

Kyz · 19/01/2015 20:59

Evening all! Am a bit behind again, but have been keeping up on facebook! Eliza Baby A is simply gorgeous, congratulations again! You do sound like superwoman, I'm sure I didn't wear real clothes for a couple of weeks months after e was born Blush

Dp has been off work for a fortnight but he's back again now so i'll be around a bit more!

hi gt how's stuff?

bp I'd go nuts - why won't they listen to you?!?!?!

YellowWellies · 19/01/2015 22:27

BP video her reaction to being fed the wrong food. Or deliver them a stinking intolerance nappy Envy .

MsJupiter · 20/01/2015 09:08

V impressed at Eliza's superhero family led by superwoman herself. Hope A's weight loss bounces back as quickly as you have. I know it must be on your mind after E. Great that the girls are doing so well

BPLP that is awful about your ILs. People get such a bee in their bonnets about allergies and intolerances, thinking it's all made up or a modern affliction and that they know better. I don't know what you can do though except massive vigilance as they clearly aren't to be trusted.

L is another chatterbox, constantly singing or talking. He has picked up some quite grown-up sounding expressions like 'would that be alright?' which make me laugh. He came into the kitchen when I was clearing up the other day and said 'Mummy please could you come and play with me, with my lego train, maybe?'
