YW it was about 3 weeks when DD2 weaned around this age. But I could still squeeze a drop or two out for a few weeks after

PP yes, the Dr was ok, which was appreciated. I feel a whole lot better without having to worry about work.

ValiumQueen · 04/04/2014 19:19

BP do you need to POAS? I hope tonight goes ok, and you have a lovely long sleep tomorrow x

PetiteRaleuse · 04/04/2014 19:21

Seriously, it takes a while. And when you think it is all gone you're in the shower and the baby cries, and out it all comes...

ValiumQueen · 04/04/2014 19:22

J still goes for my boobs if he is refluxy. They remember coping mechanisms for a long time.

Ants also don't like garlic. If you stick a clove into their main entry and exit then they will leave. We used it in our allotment greenhouse and the infestation was so large that the foundations were starting to give.

New specs are awesome! Like getting a whole new face.

The story about my grandad's brother only came out very recently. My mum knew he died young but no one in the family would talk and my mum always assumed it was a childhood illness. Apparently it destroyed the dad. Very sad story.

However!

I am sorry that I mentioned it with regard to your story gt. It was extremely poor timing and can't have made you feel any better. I hope you have stopped shaking. At the end of the day I sometimes think that these things are sent to remind us to be cautious.

In other, happier news. P was practicing her words at 4 in the morning again and is developing well.

Just as we would be drifting off she would say "uh oh uh oh!" Followed by "meow"

She also now knows baby and points at the man on the evian bottle who is holding a baby. She has fully mastered "no" and is getting there with "yes"

So that makes her chat count:-
Hallo
Hiiiii
Mummy
Daddy
Meow
Yes
No
Baby
Nanna (used for any fruit)
Numnum for food
Gaia (name of chum)
Rara (vaguely relates to name of chum)
Ganny (she also reasons to the question of "what does granny say" with "eeeee" - granny is from the north east and says "eee" a lot)

Tonight for bedtime I have turned the travel cot round as previously it was facing a full length mirror which she kept pointing to. In desperation to work out why she is waking so upset and then refusing to sleep in a cot she is well used to I am opting for scared of the mirror.

Granny and grandpa arrive tomorrow so the cot will move in with us anyway.

And vq you are quite right to mention checking for infection. It is hard to get at but I have had a look and it seems fine. It bled again at dinner time but she scoffed a massive less so once I finished it off thinking she was done. . . she wasn't and looked very sad portion of pasta and pesto then pulled the whole baguette out out its wrapper and proceeded to lick it while doing a dance. So I presume she is feeling less bothered by it.

So, any Friday plans? Dates?

How is isles?

Passmethecrisps · 04/04/2014 19:33

It took my boobs about 4 weeks to fully dry I think. Different though. I remember being very sad when that was it truly all over.

stunt I was fishing scrabble bits out recently as well as endless stones.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/04/2014 19:44

ppi have a There's a house in my mummy's tummy you can have if you don't mind second hand, used three times.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/04/2014 19:50

Right. On the subject of books and weird madness. I got sent a free copy of "kiss me first" by Lottie Moggach from mumsnet. I have read it. I quite liked it though it needs a good session to get Into and eventually you get hooked. It made me feel a little uncomfortable at times.

So who would like it next.

Pm me with your address etc and I will pass it on.

Xx

PetiteRaleuse · 04/04/2014 19:51

DD1 calls my mum Aggie. And my granny Gay Aggie.

I'd like that to stick. Just for the fun :o

When DD1 was frightened of fireworks last week (it's now 3yo since she bf) she grabbed my top, pulled it down and snuggled. I think it's instinct. That and smell. Anyone with older kids when they are worried sniff your armpit? Mine do (yes I wear deodorant). I actually remember doing it myself (I wasn't bf for more than 6mo). Our smell is still comforting though.

Well, not as adults obviously :o

PetiteRaleuse · 04/04/2014 19:51

Yes please if you don't get a uk taker :)

PetiteRaleuse · 04/04/2014 19:55

Feeling so much better after my meds.

I hadn't taken them (I suppose I can call them reflux meds piggy they are ppis?) for almost a week. Any explanation? (Addressing that to piggy)

PetiteRaleuse · 04/04/2014 19:57

I need to list my books for you and bring the to uk for cheaper postage. Project for next week. My last full week in France. For now.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/04/2014 19:57

Ok. PM me your address. Xx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/04/2014 19:58

Ds1 calls all his Uncles, Aunty! Funny when they are pretty much mostly NI Alpha Males with tractors and RIBs

Passmethecrisps · 04/04/2014 19:59

I like the idea of letting children choose their own names for grandparents. Both my mum and mil were dead set on being granny and my dad on being grampa. I always called my grampa pappa so I wanted that but hey ho, p will decide. I love gay aggie.

P often snuggles into my boobs and pats them affectionately.

BigPigLittlePig · 04/04/2014 20:02

No idea if ppi would be linked to the anxiety pr. Nausea, yes.

Pass that is quite a vocabulary, go wee P!

Am feeling irrationally anxious about tonight, imagining all manner of ridiculous scenarios. I will be v glad when morning is here and I am back cuddling my baby. Poor dh, dsd is playing up already so he could be in for an interesting night Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 04/04/2014 20:05

I think the nausea automatically causes anxiety pig with my experience. I do feel better now I have popped a , erm, stomach pill. Took a few hours but oh yeah...

applepieinthesky · 04/04/2014 20:06

Sorry about the job pp

Where is isles? Still without broadband or just busy?

That's very good pass. I keep trying to work on C's speech. I feel like he's regressed. He has said lots of words once or twice then not used them again and now he only babbles with a couple of recognisable words here and there.

Clothes size - C still fits in 12-18 months but I've started buying 18-24 months now too and they aren't massive on him. He's a size 4 shoe.

Feeling a bit out of sorts. A few years ago I split up with DP for a while and had a relationship with someone else in that time. I fell for him in a big way but it didn't work out and I got back with DP shortly afterwards. I thought I was completely over him then I saw on Facebook today that he's now married and the woman he's married to isn't right for him. Is it wrong for me to be upset about it? I'm so confused.

Passmethecrisps · 04/04/2014 20:07

I don't think it sounds that irrational bp. You are sleep deprived and about to start a long shift somewhere new.

I am sure, however, that the sun will rise tomorrow and all will have gone fine.

applepieinthesky · 04/04/2014 20:07

And POAS?! What have I missed?

Passmethecrisps · 04/04/2014 20:09

I would say normal apple. Just try to focus on the lovely things you have and try not to worry too much about his life choices. Easier said than done, I know

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/04/2014 20:10

Ha passmy dad is grandpa but they all all him PaPa! Love it.

So you starting you mad 26 hour shift tonight bp? What time?

TheDetective · 04/04/2014 20:11

YW you might find that you don't stop leaking or at least - they might not dry up completely. Because you are up the duff. Grin

I could hand express from 18 weeks. Although I never leaked. So if I hadn't tried I'd be non the wiser!

I leaked quite a lot from 24 weeks first time round. Weird how I did with one but not the other...!
