Apart from the 'down under' contingent anyway!

stunt I'm not sure what to suggest except if yw thinks it's dairy then listen to her. She's a clever cookie and if I'd listened to her then I may have been able to avoid months of anguish with j.

Who by the way was out to bed awake at 7.15pm and waved at me from his cot! He looked so upset but didn't make a sound!

ValiumQueen · 18/03/2014 20:17

Awesome YW. Just awesome! Grin

Flouncy bless J. I hope he sleeps well.

Zamboni good to hear you feeling a bit more positive Thanks

J seems a bit perkier this evening, and went to bed on time with just the usual fight. He did this last night but was up within the hour, so we will see. His rash seems a tad less angry. Please God he is on the up.

I am off to grab as much sleep as I can. Wish me luck.

ValiumQueen · 18/03/2014 20:18

And PR I hope it is just excitement and overindulgence.

ValiumQueen · 18/03/2014 20:36

And he's up. Grr. Just as well I love him eh?

Kyz · 18/03/2014 20:38

Hokay, well, here's my attempt at keeping up a bit better :)

Det e has solid poo, usually. Atm it isn't but I think it's teeth or a cold, or both. I am not sure.

bless you bplp you can't help that poor F has food ishoos, you're doing everything you can

Glad your phone got handed in pp, also R saying goodnight to his toys sounds so cute!

gt I hate poo explosions when out. E only ever did it to me once. Gosh, the once was enough

vq poor J :( I can't believe you've got more stuff to go through at ValiumCastle :( So so so so crap, I really wish I could take it all away

zamboni you are not being a shit mum at all, I shouted earlier when E whacked me on the knee with a wooden car. I said ow and he did it harder so I shouted Blush but he didn't do it again and it bloody well hurt. Also, I think you're seeing work as a break from home, and probably when it's work stressing you more, home is a break from work? That's ok though, your head just needs something different to deal with sometimes, and sometimes I have looked forward to E's nannan having him for a sleepover because sometimes I find things tough. I think it's normal and you are not a horrible mummy, we all shout sometimes, it's when you do nothing but shout that it's bad. Have some hugs, and feel free to ignore my waffle xx

stunt it must be so tough not knowing what's going on :( I think YW is right and maybe he needs a referral to peads, or something?

lovely cakes pr

glad you got the result you were hoping for sophia :)

stunt no advice to add but i think it's good to get things all written in the one place and I do think there is something going on with J, bless him

vq what an arse of a doctor. Grrr.

I am sure i've missed something.

I think e is coming down with a cold but for now it's just a cold, so it's ok.

Everything crossed for lots of sleep quichewide :) At least it's sweary weds tomorrow if not!

PetiteRaleuse · 18/03/2014 20:39

So do I. She's been a bit feverish for a few days but I thought it was just a cold. LO was sent home early from nursery with a fever which disappeared within minutes of being home but is not herself... So dull.

Let this be the last stretch of bollocks before a break for the Warmer months eh?

Courage to all for tonight. Flowers

GTbaby · 18/03/2014 20:51

Yes zamboni I am! I love going out whenever I want. Making plans without considering them.
I am not loving the additional cooking. As mil did a bulk it. But I can deal with that.
My DM is back from holiday tomorrow so looking forward to seeing them.

Also as much as I hate splitting my time between mn baby threads the oct bus has a lot of ladies around London, there is the 3rd Waterloo meet next month. Also a more local ish meet soon , close to work. But they are totally on FB now so easier to keep up. But you know they don't have some of the random chat we do on the thread.

BigPigLittlePig · 18/03/2014 21:20

Stunt the time line sounds like a post bug lactose problem. Not sure if there is another low level allergen at play too. I second the cutting out of milk products for a while, then re challenge in perhaps 6 weeks?

Elizadoesdolittle · 18/03/2014 21:30

Oooo a waterloo meet...jealous! That's so easy for me to get to. wonder if they'd like a gate crasher with a (early) nov baby.

zamboni I am pretty sure we have all had days like that (goodness knows i have had many) and those of us that haven't, it's only a matter or time. Glad you are feeling happier this evening.

pr Glad DD1 enjoyed her day and hopefully she is just a bit worse for wear tonight due to over excitement.

Donnadoon · 18/03/2014 21:34

Hi guys
I do read I promise
We've had some lovely weather here lately and dd has been playing in the garden...and omg she has been sleeping so much better, must be all the fresh air
She too stands up high chair now, defo time to switch to a big girls chair
Teeth brushing here is a battle...anyone else?
She quit happy to suck and chew the brush, not too interested in copying so I'm forcibly doing the back ones ATM

Donnadoon · 18/03/2014 21:37

GT I didn't bother joining the January 14 bus, I have enough trouble keeping up here, there is only one quiche !

YellowWellies · 18/03/2014 21:55

GT I'm not going to join the Oct 14 bus - as Donna says I'd rather stick round here Smile .

Flouncey awww thanks love. I think Mummy denial is a big part of CMPI none of us want our perfect babies to have it so it's very easy to wish it away. You acted really quickly and totally kicked medical ass!

Stunt I've always wondered if J might have a mild case of CMPI I reckon it's flared up to be more serious due to a combination of the switch to cow's milk bottles and potentially a bit of a knock to his guts from that bug. Good luck at the docs.

VQ hope you have a quiet night.

DH is at a conference dinner tonight. Why is it J wakes needing a wind when I'm desperate for a wee and with a really itchy / sneezy nose? Cue sneeze and soggy knickers! Naice!

Pikz · 18/03/2014 22:08

Stunt if it helps it only flared up for us when we introduced full bottles of moo juice.

Zamboni big hugs and for VQ, PR, Piggy and everyone else I've forgotten

Exhausted here. Work and toddler and extension and wedding taking their toll.

GTbaby · 19/03/2014 03:49

Wide awake baby. Hoping ignoring him will work.

Yes there is only one quiche! And I keep correcting my self on the oct bus... As they refer to themselves as a bus rather then quiche. We are unique! Do you think they would feel betrayed that I ask you all do much. Like I'm cheating on them Wink

Hmmmm maybe put phone down. Light might distract A.

Zamboni · 19/03/2014 06:12

Thanks Pikz and Kyz and Eliza and everyone rlse. We had a much better night so I reckon if S opens his mouth I might see if we have a new tooth.

GT hope you got back to sleep.

Donna, yes teeth slightly forcibly here, when I can prize S's mouth open sufficiently. Mainly he just chews his toothbrush twice a day.

ValiumQueen · 19/03/2014 06:15

Another awful night. Bored of this game.

PetiteRaleuse · 19/03/2014 06:32

Not brilliant here either, but both girls going to nursery fx they last the day.

Zamboni · 19/03/2014 06:45

VQ ThanksBrew

StuntNun · 19/03/2014 07:01

Sorry to be the bearer of good news when others are having bad nights but we had another sleep through. I got 7.5 hours sleep! So that's three out of the last four nights but after Sunday's bad night there was a tooth tip cutting through so that could have been tooth related rather than food-related. I'm so glad I don't have to cut dairy from J's diet altogether as butter would be very difficult to remove. He does like Babybels but I don't suppose they're too bad. Yoghurts he can probably do without. I think I'll go and buy some more formula today because of that bad night on Sunday, I think it's too soon for a milk challenge. Dammit how come the one who's dead keen on breastfeeding ends up hooked on formula?!

I know it is frustrating Stunt, but remember me and Izzy are also total bf fans, and we have both had to stop altogether due to allergies, having not had the right support and advice from the professionals. It is nearly a year since I had to stop feeding in order to get them to take my boy's problems seriously.

Passmethecrisps · 19/03/2014 07:32

Good morning.

Hooray for a good night stunt.

Lots of Brew and hugs for vq and anyone else who needs it.

P and I are staying at home today. I didn't think she looked great yesterday morning but no temp so sent her to CM. I got a call at 3 saying DH was collecting her and to meet them at the docs. I was thinking that was a bit of an overreaction for teeth and a cold. However, apparently her temp hit 39.7 and the CM and her two CM pals said they had never seen any child so distressed. Our CM was very upset.

Doc checked and she has a rotten cold with a red raw theta and a bulgy ear drum.

Last night was fine surprisingly enough. Her temp peaked to 39.6 again just before bed but she slept until 5:30 without a peep. Obviously I didn't! Lots of temp and breathing checking.

Another peak at 5:30 but now she is running around wheat cereal things off the floor.

Not sure I am going to get any marking done . . .

PetiteRaleuse · 19/03/2014 07:48

I suspect an ear infection too here with LO. Have dropped her off and told them to call me if she gets distressed. I really need to crack on with work today.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 19/03/2014 08:03

Poor old P. I hope you two are snuggled on the sofa, and no marking gets done. Xx

Good news on the sleep front stunt and zamboni

Brew for vq and pr

I am sat here lazily avoiding doing the next weeks food planning and internet shop. I scarily peeped into a menopause support thread. Sad Depressing. Anyway I think I a pretty decided I won't go and see the gp yet I will tweak my diet a bit, get some good multivitamins and keep going. I won,the be going the HRT route anyway but at some point would just need to know what I'm up against.

How can one be so generally happy and positive and feel a little low and anxious at the same time. Is that possible? I think I am a tad run down.

The fact I can't to my mum about it is upsetting me too. And it is her birthday on Friday.

Hopefully AF will turn up soon and at least will stop feeling bloated.

Anyway, we are off to a country park and lunch in a cafe today and you know I always swear be the healing properties of fresh air so should come back bouncing off the walls if I am to be believed. Smile

Lily311 · 19/03/2014 08:15

Grumpy toddler here too, I'm suspecting the canines are to blame. She is not herself. I need to start the bloody assignment, it's due on Friday and apart from making a plan I have not done anything. No motivation whatsoever.

Poor P, glad that you managed to take her to the dr yesterday.

Right I pretty much decided to look for a new job in June/July starting in September. I need the whole May to study for my exam, than we are due to come back to uk for a week or so, it's just not practical to start looking now. Needless to say there are 3 ads I quite like but all starting in May. Grrr.

flouncymcflouncerson · 19/03/2014 08:19

vq I think it's funny you still refer to me as izzy. I've been flouncy for so long now. Maybe I should change back?! I second the still feeling bad a out stopping BF Sad in fact I'm pretty sure I always will!
