Is it odd to be excited about teeth?! I'm so excited as it means he might be able to BLW better with some sharp bits!

He wolfed his tea, no snorted it down tonight. Never seen him so ravenous without screaming the house down prior!.

DS1 told me O was crying about 30 minutes ago. I couldn't hear him. Turns out the baby monitor sound had dropped down. I got up there to a hysterical boy, who was practically sat up, pulling up on the bars, and had turned his own Ewan on to harp sleep sounds!

When he saw me he made a massive sigh of relief. Honestly, you would think he had been screaming for hours, and if it wasn't for the fact that I'd been upstairs about 3 minutes previously, I'd of been crying myself at the state he was in Confused... Guess it was the teeth?! He calmed down quickly with a cuddle though!

Still think its funny when he turns the bloody sheep on himself!! It isn't the first time.... Grin

YellowWellies · 20/06/2013 21:30

Oh crap Clarella it does rather sound CMPI ish - have the sleep issues maybe been a mild - moderate CMPI / reflux reaction via BM? Those with mild CMPI tend to react to dairy from direct consumption via FF or solids. My sister's boy was undiagnosed for nigh on 18 months (thanks to a HV I could still to this day happily throttle, who basically told my sister she had PND and was overreacting about colic. For 18 fucking months. Her marriage has never recovered after 18 months of shit sleep and arguing over what the fuck to do Sad ) and funnily enough the only times he slept well was in the hammock as it positioned him in such a way the acid couldn't come back up.

Kyzordz · 20/06/2013 21:37

Evening guys,

Looks like mums fucking arse of an xp is indeed squandering his nephews money!! There are no words. He really must need some help detective but has so far refused any and I'm not sure you can force people to see someone can you :/ :(

Naps have been awful today, he's hardly slept all day then didn't fall asleep until 8:20. Are there more regressions? he's 32 weeks

So glad you're having a good holiday eliza lovely to hear from you

Woohoo for new teefs across the quiche! Still none here yet

Good luck for tomorrow bplp

clarella e did the same thing, he got into it, then refused, and is now back into it, so hopefully ds will pick back up with weaning. I am sure e will go back to refusal again at some point cos he likes to keep me on my toes!! I think a diary sounds a good idea tbh

Hugs chasing

Oh no bry hope g is ok and the pox fuck off soon

Clarella · 20/06/2013 22:04

yw I really don't want to believe it could be but u just mentioned several things bang on inc constant rows with dh, hammock etc. and hv insinuating pnd. and even I've questioned pnd in myself today. thanks chick.

yep it's a 45 minute thing tonight.

could it be teething?

he's lip smacking swallowing something joys of a bed side cot.

he's had a little speckled rash round his neck which today he started scratching a lot. read that urtica (sp?) can be symptom.

hv did point out I should try omeprazole again. I'm just reluctant as it gives him horrendous wind. doc gave me colief last time I questioned it.

Clarella · 20/06/2013 22:09

oh kyz Sad that's awful. no you can't force someone to get help. so frustrating

YellowWellies · 20/06/2013 22:11

Teething makes reflux worse so it could just be a flare up. As for meds, I've just knocked Jonas' omeperazole down a touch as it was causing him wind - he's much improved on 0.5ml less per dose - so maybe reduce the dosage?

Clarella · 20/06/2013 22:12

he slept on pillows for 2 weeks. might dig hammock out....

bloody dp been out at degree show and now in pub. not that he can help. and been told not to by mum after my flip out this morning.

Clarella · 20/06/2013 22:17

yes yw - we went right down dose wise then came off though sleep didn't really improve. although he did seem to sleep longer in the mornings.

I've a new batch in tomorrow hopefully so will ppick up and try secretly over weekend. gp said use as and when needed.

wondering if need to cut out dairy. again dh will not be impressed.

YellowWellies · 20/06/2013 22:18

Clarella hope you're doing alright love - its the pits when you know something is wrong but feel you're battling against a brick wall - that's really interesting about urticaria being a symptom of CMPI - VQ could it be the cause of J's rash?

izzybizzybuzzybees · 20/06/2013 22:26

Mums birthday today so was out for dinner. This was first meal out with me eating no dairy. The boiled potatoes came with a huge chunk of butter on them... Not necessary! Thankfully it hadn't melted too much so I just ate them. Got waitress to check with chef if anything was suitable for desert. I specified milk free, she then asked if it was just milk or could I have cream!?! Then returned and said I could have apple crumble with no custard or choc fudge cake! Emily I doubt it! Surely the pastry would have milk or butter and the fudge cake surely would have too!

YellowWellies · 20/06/2013 22:35

Izzy the joys of eating out dairy free Envy I don't think I've had a dessert when we eat out since December. Choc fudge cake will have dairy for definite, apple pie I'd bet would too. Butter on dairy free food is a classic Envy it makes me so cross that staff will say anything to get a sale - even if they know it'll hurt a baby. Also ask about dairy in stock cubes for main courses - most do have it Sad

I hate feeling like I'm on a faddy Californian diet and can almost see staff rolling their eyes so haven't been out for food in ages. On Saturday we're going to Yo Sushi and I'm having sushi with soy sauce to test how the bear responds to soy. I'm only having a couple of dunks of soy.... I'll be gentle with him.

Clarella · 20/06/2013 22:40

yeah yw will be. thanks Smile feels like I've been battling for ages - like many here. have a husband who wants to have a baby that eats and sleeps like him Grin

I don't want to spread rash rumours! just one of the things Google came back with. on an nhs site. (thanks for spelling Grin ) and noticed him at it today.

I can easily blame it all on other stuff. and maybe my lo is just adapting to solids. nct friend though her lo was dairy allergic at first (and she's a gp) but all seems ok now.

luckily my lll group currently have a pediatrician on board with an lo plus mums who have experience of cmpi plus my gp who's v knowledgeable about it (been on at me to cut dairy for ages) so if this continues I'll just be tiger mom and ask the right people out right Grin though it'll just be 'cut dairy n see' I guess Grin

Clarella · 20/06/2013 22:44

oh god izzy and yw I did it for 2 weeks. drove me nuts. I can well imagine how hard that is. but maybe it's my answer Confused going to watchfully wait.

scoffed half a tub of ice cream last night. Hmm

izzybizzybuzzybees · 20/06/2013 22:47

It's crazy isn't it yw. I almost laughed when she suggested those two!

Plus point, J has just had 5oz if a bottle with neocate in it, 2oz neocate to 5oz BM. So a 28% neocate concentration :-)

Minus point, he refused bottle for DH and I had to trick him again by offering boob and giving bottle!

ValiumQueen · 20/06/2013 22:47

YW unlikely as he has been on Nutrimigen since he was 6 months, so 8 weeks at least. He has no dairy in his solids. We have dairy free stock cubes even. I think it is something in his milk.

I am looking forward to seeing what the dietician thinks.

ValiumQueen · 20/06/2013 22:49

That is great news Izzy Smile

Clarella · 20/06/2013 22:59

Smile Izzy

ValiumQueen · 20/06/2013 23:10

Izzy I have been meaning to ask you ... Has your J ever had regular formula and if so, how was he. I have vague recollections of him having a swig or two.

ValiumQueen · 20/06/2013 23:11

I am off to bed now. Sweet dreams all x

izzybizzybuzzybees · 20/06/2013 23:25

vq he has two cartons I think when he was about a week old. I don't remember how he was but I guess he couldn't have been horrific if I don't remember!

Clarella · 21/06/2013 00:04

baby peacefully sleeping upright on pillows.

food allergy nice guidelines downloaded.

dh refusing we give omeprazole.

fuck him.

LuisGarcia · 21/06/2013 00:36

Ok, I freely admit I'm not really keeping up with the thread at the moment, for which I apologize. However, if I've got this right... "D"H's are variously offering to fight people outside at work and threatening to quit, refusing their babies painkillers, theatrically failing to kill themselves and hospitalizing themselves while drunk? Is that right?

Fucking hell. I'm so sorry about my gender.

Going to sneak in a late thankful thursday, though, if that's ok? I'm thankful for my MIL. She's awesome.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 21/06/2013 01:43

clarella why won't DH give omeprazole?

We ate on first wake up. 2hrs 40mins since last feed and bedtime. Yip that's right bedtime was 11pm!this is normal for us :-( I hope when he eventually gets over his oral aversion and starts solids we can improve this and maybe the dairy free will help also.

He's back in cot now. Will be back in a bit no doubt.

StuntNun · 21/06/2013 01:58

The last two nights weren't too bad, certainly compared to the previous six nights, but now he's wriggling and thrashing around. With the other two boys playing up as well things are pretty rough here. I'm sure it's easier to deal with if you're not so tired.
