chasing I'm sure the depression seems insurmountable at the moment, but that's part of the illness. Perhaps once you're free-er from O's F & have a bit more space, your soul might have room to soar... In the meantime, listen to the wisdom of the quiche [busmile]

fatima there is a company on amazon I think that does bespoke mattresses. I don't think they're that pricey either.

Luis your sleep deprived tale made me think of a few days after DS was born. Had an appt to see a infant feeding specialist MW about his tongue tie. I heard her name was Paula, I was adamant it was Paula. I wrote down something else entirely (but was certain I wrote Paula). Her name wasn't Paula...[buconfused]

YW I was going to suggest booja booja choc. My friend is dairy & wheat intolerant giving her terrible ibs but has the booja eggs. [bugrin]

We need a new stair & landing carpet. We lifted it to put some wiring in & sort out squeaky floorboards & the carpet & underlay fell apart [bushock] Blessing really. I hated the carpet & it means we can get vinyl or laminate on the hall floor, which is so much more practical for getting buggys in from the rain or after walking across the rec & getting dog shit on the wheel [buhmm]

DS had some food tonight. Bad mummy [bublush] He seemed grumpy cos we were all eating so he had some cucumber sticks. He even managed to get them in his mouth & chew but did best at chewing the plastic bowl

kyz hope you feel well enough soon to enjoy your Easter eggs [buwink]

Eliza glenda anyone else SE way? When's a Kent/Essex meet-up gonna happen then huh?!! [bugrin]

Off to have some more alcohol-free beer and def not another creme egg, oh no, def not a 3rd one and keeping fingers crossed for 5th night sleeping through...[busmile]

Looking at the pictures on facebook. We have such gorgeous, lovely babies!

.

I don't think any other pregnancy/postnatal time will ever be the same. It can't be - it won't have you lot in it!

:( Never want this to end! Well, the sleepless nights maybe!

ChasingDaisy · 30/03/2013 21:10

Sure you're not pregnant Det?!

Kyzordz · 30/03/2013 21:10

chasing big hugs, the first few weeks are the worst on the tablets and you'll be out the other side of that soon :) take it as it comes, by the hour if that's how you need to do it, but don't forget we're here

I feel almost back to normal! Don't want to say completely because I'm bound to fuck it up if I do but I haven't been sick today! Woohoo!

Ds has a couple of patches of what look like dry skin on his back. I'm hoping just mild eczema or something, I put lotion on him today instead of talc and guess I should keep an eye on it before rushing him to the doctors

Hoppy Easter everyone for tomorrow (hoppy, as in bunny rabbits hopping, geddit? I'll get my coat) [busmile]

kirrinIsland · 30/03/2013 21:15

((hugs)) chasing I'm not good with words, but keep talking on here if it helps, and the Samaritans or mental health teams are good suggestions. Try and talk to someone in rl to get some support. When you say you've found out what most people really think of you, do you mean OH and his family? Because I don't think you should be worrying too much about their opinion. Unfortunately, they are his family and will therefore side with him even if he is wrong. It is easier for them to blame you than face up to what he is.
You haven't messed your life up. It's just not going to be how you thought. It's hard and overwhelming now but you are strong and you can do this.

TheDetective · 30/03/2013 21:21

Quite sure now I am anyway, thank fuck!. Grin

Also. What kirrin said.

And, I thought you were awesome! I even gave you a hug! Hugs are reserved for special people!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2013 21:41

Goal for June : getba hug from Detective

ValiumQueen · 30/03/2013 21:44

I was going to write exactly that pr. My goal now is to get a detective hug before you do Grin

TheDetective · 30/03/2013 21:45

This Detective is going to be running away screaming fuck off with your hugs ya pair of lesleybeans!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2013 21:48

*get a

no idea what getba is

Since my trip to the British shop yesterday I have eaten: 4 packs of picked onion flavoured monster punch, one pack of salt and vingear hula hoops (when did they replace worcestershire sauce by cheese and onion the bastards?), a cadbury's boost, a packet of white chocolate buttons which I had bought for DD1 [bublush] , and drunk two cans of lilt and two cans of old jamaica ginger beer.

AND I WANT MORE.

All I haveleft from my expensive shopping trip is pataks pastes, naan breads and another packet of hula hoops. And that's got to last me til JUNE.

KNEW I should have paced myself.

Yes living in France is great for the food and wine but for junk food, the UK rocks.

Talking of rocks, I shall crawl nack under mine for the night. Sleep well lovelies.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2013 21:49

VQ I'm quite fast at the running.

TheDetective · 30/03/2013 21:49

what do you want? am i allowed to post food?!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2013 21:51

Not in the quantities I need it. How do you people live without eating crisps? By the fucking bucketful? So much more variety over there.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2013 21:54

Ewww they've upped the salt in the original hula hoops. Eeeewwwww. Tht was a waste of 90 cents.

TheDetective · 30/03/2013 21:55

Got some S&V discos..... nom nom nom Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2013 21:57

Yum. Over here s&v doesn't exist. There is one brand that does vinegar flavoured crisps but it's not quite right.

Ugh. Just forced myself to finish those original hula hoops. Ugh.

I forgot to mention I have eaten half the mini eggs.

Kyzordz · 30/03/2013 21:59

The more salt the better pr! I am a 'some food with my salt' kinda gal. I get told off for having so much and it nearly killed me in pregnancy to not use salt. Was ever so good. Me going salt free is like an alcoholic going alcohol free. I was very paranoid that I could cause him damage or lose him so I did it by the book and didn't touch a thing i'd heard any tales about. I'm sure i went way OTT to be honest.

TheDetective · 30/03/2013 22:00

If I get food I haven't had in ages, it is gone. Instantly. Snorted in fact. I have no self restraint Grin.

I must say, when I've been on the continent, the crisps have been utter shite. I'd miss them. Terribly.

I'm pissed off. Dinner turned out shite thanks DP! so now I am hungry again. Grrrrr.

TheDetective · 30/03/2013 22:01

I'm like that, but over vinegar!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/03/2013 22:03

Since DD1 has been eating pretty much what we do I cut most salt out from cooking so am possibly not used to it anymore.

Kyzordz · 30/03/2013 22:11

Ooh yes det vinegar too. I like chips to swim in it!

Ill have to smother my plate in salt when e is eating if I can't use it in cooking I guess

TheDetective · 30/03/2013 22:12

I never cooked with salt. Til this year.

Didn't use salt and pepper in cooking.

Dickhead. It's sooooooooo much nicer with it!

TheDetective · 30/03/2013 22:14

Everyone is always disgusted at how much vinegar I have! It's a definite case of, do you want some chips with your vinegar?!

At high school, we used to get chips in these bag type things, and mine would disintegrate from the amount of vinegar. Pissed me off no end. But not enough to reduce the vingear!

kirrinIsland · 30/03/2013 22:15

See, now I really want an old Jamaican Ginger beer. Hula hoops you can keep, but DD1 made a lovely painted polystyrene cup nest with mini eggs in at nursery and I accidently left it in the car and scoffed the lot.

Kyzordz · 30/03/2013 22:20

Mine did the same det!! They used to give me a polystyrene cone to put the paper cone in so it didn't piss out everywhere. Oh how I adore vinegar and proper chip shop chips!
