I think drooling is par for the course from 3 months on. I remember DD1 got spots on her chin fro mso much drooling. They disappeared eventually though.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/03/2013 21:28

eliza it's nice to hear you brag.. You deserve it :)

Kyzordz · 22/03/2013 21:29

mm he could've at least let you know :(

Welcome/welcome back lurkers :) lovely to see you all!

Epic win det with bed time

vq hope it continues to go well!

kissy how was today?

Today was strange. E was a bit funny with bottles but not too bad. Other than that he has never laughed so much in one day. He likes being carefully dropped from a height, and he really laughs. He made me cry! Also, dp is broken. He gave me £200 to 'treat myself' because I deserve it. Wtaf? Not complaining, nope. Bless him. Perhaps it's because of the paddy I threw at not fitting in those jeans! Also. E went to bed at 7:40, we're moving it from 8 to 7:30 or something and he seems to be doing well, not a peep so far

Erm...

sophia glad your drive went well :)

PetiteRaleuse · 22/03/2013 21:29

mm i see cock, cunt, twunt and bastard have all been used already. Ditto.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/03/2013 21:30

Is it next week te bastard clocks fuck everything up change?

MissMummy1 · 22/03/2013 21:31

I am working on how to leave. Seeking advice and planning where to go. I want to have something in place for if I still feel this way in a month or two's time.

We are both tired and overwraught and taking that out on each other. I am sure I am just as guilty and do not want to do anything rash i later regret (like I always do...)

Sorry I am being super whingey tonight Sad . I hoped his mum would be supportive but instead she just wants to tell me how easy I have it compared to her and how I am overreacting. Confused

PetiteRaleuse · 22/03/2013 21:32

Mona please see your GP. 4 weeks is a long time when you're feeling like shit.

Donnadoon · 22/03/2013 21:34

Evil I can't believe how much rain you've had in the S/W .. We nearly bought a house in Braunton last year..so glad we didn't as it was nearly literally washed away at Christmas.

MsJupiterJones · 22/03/2013 21:35

L has been drooling and chewing his fist non-stop for weeks but it seems to have ramped up lately. I thought it was normal but I noticed at rhyme time he does it more than others. I can feel that his gums are more bumpy than they were and he has pink cheeks. So I think things are progressing but I know it can take a while. I put some Dentinox gel on the other day when he seemed to be in a bit of discomfort.

I cooked steak & chips tonight to celebrate DH being off work for two whole weeks yay. We are off to Ireland next week to show L off to lots of rellies.

V interested in knowing people's nap times as ours are all over the shop. Trying to get a bit of structure without imposing a routine iyswim.

Nice to hear from lurkers new and old. Wishing everyone a good night Thanks

MsJupiterJones · 22/03/2013 21:40

ps Eliza that is brilliant to hear, go E ; MM that is the opposite. He has had a lot of chances & seems to be taking you for a bit of a mug, which you clearly are not. Good luck darlin' whatever you decide.

kissyfur · 22/03/2013 21:46

Kyz today hasn't been too bad, still a fair bit of screaming but I managed to get her to feed a bit more which is good. Also got out to a friends house for all our kids to have tea together, nice to have some adult company. Thanks for asking Smile bless your DP, he sounds lovely

MM I am sorry but I agree with chunky and the others, he's not treating you right at all.

Mio welcome and sorry for your loss

MrsJ our naps are all over the shop too, I do need to attempt to get them more structured I think

Eliza so glad to hear things are going well

Hello to anymore newbies!

Think there was more to say but have forgotten it already

Brockle · 22/03/2013 21:49

eliza after all you have been through you deserve good nights Smile.

I am so sorry mio . at least you know you did all you could and you can now look forward now xx

two out of three asleep and just waiting for ds1 to get in from the rugby. might have to thaw him out when he gets home Grin

Izzybuzzybuzzybees · 22/03/2013 21:51

vq so pleased to hear J was settled after his new formula. You must be so relieved!

I cannot believe what I'm reading regarding babies naps! J does not nap for more than twenty minutes! Ever! And he won't go to bed til 10.30pm earliest and wakes up about four times a night!! My baby is broken!

StuntNun · 22/03/2013 21:54

Sorry to hear about your FIL Mio. You have had a lot to cope with then. Thanks My J drools all the time too. I call him Dribbles.

We haven't had power all day so I'm very glad J is breastfed. We're snuggled up in bed with J because it's freezing in the house. DS1 and DS2 are in bed with their dressing gowns on. We had ham sandwiches for dinner! I hope some of the food in the fridge and freezer will survive. DH says there's a camping stove in the shed so hopefully I'll get tea tomorrow morning.

I'm quite irritable atm as well Mona, I think it's the lack of sleep and two naughty boys to look after as well as J.

Naps here are completely erratic. Sometimes he is asleep, sometimes he isn't, he is usually awake from 4 a.m. That is all I can say with certainty.

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/03/2013 21:54

Yep pr clocks change next weekend (over easter) bastard clocks stealing an hour of our precious sleep. And subsequently fucking up any routines in place.

Passmethecrisps · 22/03/2013 21:56

Good evening!

Hmm. I haven't done a proper record today so can't really name check. Won't be a proper summary. Think I'll leave it today - lots d stuff I wouldn't want to miss.

Hello to all newbies and the returned. I am sorry you have had such a terrible time mio . I hope the next 6 months are better.

lily this is going to sound massively patronising but I really feel for you in what you are having to go through. I think you show exceptional courage and spirit. Your daughter will be enormously proud of you.

mm please take this in the spirit in which it is intended but I would like to drive to your house and punch your DP in his face. Like a proper bop in the nose. He is in cloud fucking cookoo land. He is just so disrespectful.

Personally izzy in you shoes I would be bunking down for a sleep in the middle of a submarine full of strange men. I wouldn't give a rat's arse. Glad your downstairs is decorated.

daisy your O sounds so like P with feeding. Tiny amounts and just a bit 'meh' about eating.

Doc was good with P today. Slight eczema with no secondary infection but he did give her a PX for thrush cream just in case and also because it is handy to have. He commented on how big she was getting and how well she looked knew all the right things to say to anxious mummy of 1. He was delighted she was in her jammies thus easier to strip. Some of her jammies are too lovely just to wear at night.

Did I mention the moose at a baby group who had a bit of pointed go at me for P wanting to be on her feet? Well, if not here is the long boring story. Last week I was at a group and p was doing her favourite thing in the world which is standing and bouncing. There was another baby there who was a day older than p. she is a lovely wee thing full of smiles and happy but totally chilled. Lots of the mums commented on P's enthusiasm for her legs. This week she announces that her baby just wants to stand all the time but she won't allow it because it is dangerous for leg and spine development. The lady leading the course asks about door bouncers and walkers etc. I say we were given an activity station thing - this will make late to walk apparently. All this was said while her lovely baby chills sitting on her knee and P has an apoplexy because she wants to jump!

So, I spend a few days feeling a bit sore about this actually. Standing makes p smile! She is happy as a clam standing. Am I making her bandy legged by letting her stand on my legs?

Well I make myself look like a dick by asking the Dr. While P is on my knee bouncing like a tigger on speed.

It's fine. She won't be a late walker. Woman at group is a prick.

Why am I such a divvy?

Brockle · 22/03/2013 22:00

izzy my first two never slept in the day. I got twenty minutes max a couple of times a day. having a baby that has proper naps is a revelationGrin your baby isn't broken, I promiseGrin I think the school runs help as the fresh air knocks him out so if I want to get him off I usually pop him in the pram and go for a walk.

TheDetective · 22/03/2013 22:00

Fucking hell, what a cock. Suspect she has cuntitis. Highly contagious among some people... Hmm.

O spends about an hour a day in 5 minute bursts on his feet coz that is all I can manage. He can manage it all day long!. From just days old he has done this.

Oh, and get this. DS1 spent nearly all day either sat bouncing on my knee, or stood on my lap. He walked at 10.5 months. Put that in yo' motherfucking pipe an' smoke it. Biatch. Grin

ValiumQueen · 22/03/2013 22:02

I have not yet made an appointment for my leg, but I will. Thank you for nagging.

J seems a lot better on this new formula. I hope he stays that way, and hope he might actually sleep.

izzy sorry to hear things are still crap. Is it a little bit better than it was with him in the cot?

I am working on naps with varying success. He gets up between 6 and 7. He naps (or at least I try to get him to nap) around 9, which often happens on the school run, then next naps around mid day with a nap mid afternoon, again on the school run. On a good day he will nap 1.5 hrs each time. He resists a nap in the evening, and goes to bed around 9. He was ready at 8.30 tonight and settled well. He will probably wake 3 hourly overnight. It will end some time. I am hoping once he is on the right milk, he will be able to sleep better.

Passmethecrisps · 22/03/2013 22:05

Oh and she drools like a drooly thing. P that is. She has a tooth breaking brought. Bottom to the right of the front 2. Feels oddly situated but not surprising considering DH and my wonky teeth. No red cheeks and only occassional discomfort. Wee bit of bonjela for babies works a charm.

TheDetective · 22/03/2013 22:05

VQ That has happened for us. Change in milk has given much better sleeps. Each night got better til the night he slept through (4th night of milk I think). We had one blip night in between.

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/03/2013 22:08

pass you said it. Woman at play group is a dick. DD1 was forever in her jumperoo, had walkers, bascially everything they say makes a slow walker. She was tearing around like a lunatic at 11 months. Ignore the bitch.

Passmethecrisps · 22/03/2013 22:11

P wakes between 7-7:30.
Whines to go back to sleep from as little as half an hour on. I try to keep her up at least an hour and by the time she actually sleeps stops doing crunches she is up about 90 minutes.

Naps are about 45 minutes long with an occassional 90 minuter thrown in there with no warning. Very recently she has dropped sleeping after 4. Genuinely she did this herself after I asked lily how she got her LO not to sleep after 4. We go a walk to sainsbury's then come back and chill. She can manage ok until about 6 then mumps until she sees the bath being run. Post bath can be a bit traumatic as she is so tired. Since dropping her post 4pm nap she is in bed by 6:45pm. She needs dummy relocation quite frequently but is very good. Almost waking time now actually.

YellowWellies · 22/03/2013 22:14

MM that's mental torture to a BF Mummy! You must be starved Sad oh hon. I know you're both shattered but you are not unlovable. I worry he's making you think that him being a total knob jockey is your fault. Its hard because I know you both in real life so I should probably be more diplomatic - but I really don't like how he speaks to you. You deserve respect and kindness not tricksiness, evasion and rudeness Sad.

kissyfur · 22/03/2013 22:14

What a silly caaah that woman is pass, ignore her. F loves standing up too, but I can't hold her for too long cos she's a chunk and v strong, and tries to throw herself about too much!

Teething going on here too and has been for a while, v red cheeks and biting her hands/my hands/ Sophie le giraffe etc
