Bedtime! Night all, see you on thankful Thursday.

GTbaby · 27/02/2013 22:00

I'm off Friday night.
Will take a few days to get Internet sorted there. So will try and drop in to say hi. But not having access on my phone will mean NO chance of catching up. Will try post a few pics on FB tho Wink you can all marvel at my luxurious surroundings Grin

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2013 22:03

I have had very little to swear about today! And for that I am thankful.

J asleep at 9.30. See you tomorrow hopefully. Sweet dreams all x

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2013 22:06

And a wee hug for detective I too have felt very sad for that lady and her family. A few years back I very nearly took a similar path, so a bit close to home for me too.

Please everyone take care of yourselves and your mental health. If you are having similar thoughts do please share them with somebody x

daisychain76 · 27/02/2013 22:14

Take care Eliza ~ fingers crossed things get sorted soon. Safe trip GT

I don?t drive due to dodgy eyesight, but it would be useful with 3 to ferry round. Having said that the walk to school is one of the best bits of the day -nice chance to chat with the eldest 2 --when we?re not having to run cos lazy mum slept through
the alarm--

blonderedhead · 27/02/2013 22:22

Oh gosh Eliza sorry I missed your posts. So sorry you are going through this and having to wait for the bed before anything can happen. Will be keeping everything crossed it's all resolved soon. I do know how you feel & I'll be thinking of you and your LO.

VQ that is terribly sad.

Wishing everyone a good night ready for a thankful Thursday - I'm bricking it about 3rd jabs tomorrow so might save my swearing for then.

YellowWellies · 27/02/2013 22:43

chunky not offended at all - just observing that what you don't have you don't miss. I would be a total lard arse if I drove - I usually walk 5 - 7 miles a day everyday and have the appetite to match. On days with DH and the car I struggle to do even 1/4 mile. You need to do 4 miles a day to keep weight off and your heart healthy. So I'd be jeffed if I drove Confused

Pass lots of wine (pinot grigio yuk) is dairy free but some grapes / vintages use milk to clarify. Sods law my faves do!

Adds orange to the list of bellends as well Angry

Does anyone else have this problem. The last 5 times my phone has run out of battery and switched off it wont let me send texts. Each time pramge has sent me a text to reconnect it to messaging server. They wont do it again Angry

MissMummy1 · 27/02/2013 22:58

sp orange

kissyfur · 27/02/2013 23:02

So sorry about your mum YW Thanks

Eliza wishing you and LO all the best for when you go in, hugs

How sad about the lady with PND, her poor family

I passed my driving test first time at 17, can't imagine not being able to drive, but I do a lot of walking as well. Speaking of which I have just downloaded the Pramometer app, anyone else tried it?

Oh and I'm a 34G since having LO! Was only a B cup before having DD1. Could really do with a decent nursing bra, I do find them a big restrictive tho so tend to go bra less unless I'm going out somewhere!

kirrinIsland · 27/02/2013 23:06

YW my pedometer proves you right on that. Some days today I don't even walk half a mile, and I have been out and about.

mm make sure you take all your belongings out of the hire car when you return it. If your Enterprise is anything like ours then there's no such thing as lost property, just finders keepers for the staff. I left a really nice pair of sunglasses in mine and they "couldn't find them" even though they'd already told me the car hadn't been hired out again since I'd had it Angry

I have a very snuffly fidgety baby tonight so not optimistic about getting any much sleep.

ChunkyChicken · 27/02/2013 23:10

Thanks for the bra advice!!

horsey I've always thought I was small-of-nork... Check out the AIBU thread for the 'proper' way to measure yourself. Also, aren't you dead slim & well toned? I doubt your rib cage would be massively huge (although prepared to be wrong) if you're slim. I'm quite a pear-shaped, curvy 10-14 (depending on shop/clothing) but I measure an admittedly snug/taught tape measure 30.5-31.5" round the chest. I used to wear a 34C, then a 32DD before I had DD. Pg has been a huge blessing at times Wink Oh and re; your flat nipples & bfing. Perhaps you could try a breast pump in the last few wks of pg to get them to pull out a bit? I know a friend of mine had inverted nips prior to breastfeeding her (now 2yo DS) and she doesn't any more...

YW true :) And gutted about the Wine who'd a thunk it?

Eliza if DD 'seems' satisfied after a feed, then your supply is not lacking I wouldn't have thought. It may be she's just having to work hard to get the milk & burning precious calories. Fc things work out well really soon.

Off to read more Call the MW. Thankful for tomorrow's Thursday.

Clunge.

Passmethecrisps · 27/02/2013 23:10

Took 4 attempts or me to pass my driving test. I grew up in very rural south west Scotland and had to drive some distance to practice roundabouts. There were no traffic lights so we had to drive up and down the Main Street of a town waiting for someone to push te button on the pedestrian crossing.

I passed when I got a job in Kirkcaldy and lived in Stirling. It is possible by public transport - I did it a few times - but a total nightmare.

I love driving now. Particularly now with P actually. It is the only time a feel actually alone even though she is in the back seat. Stick radio 4 on and try to remember the things I used to think about.

Passmethecrisps · 27/02/2013 23:13

Oh! And I was also wondering horsey about your rib measurement. I was a 32 DD and am now probably a 34 DD but I can pretty much get in my old 32s. Under my boobs I measure 32 inches.

Passmethecrisps · 27/02/2013 23:14

Aargh! With my point being . . . That your slim self is most likely to be considerably smaller than my porker being.

Contradictionincarnate · 27/02/2013 23:21

cannot believe it baby is asleep before her dad!

Contradictionincarnate · 27/02/2013 23:23

lots of packing tonight gt how are you doing it ! and pregnant too! I'm only going away for 3 nights!! sooo much stuff! Shock

Contradictionincarnate · 27/02/2013 23:27

oh chunky no didn't think you were offending me Smile your right it will be a string to my bow and its definitely on my to do list just that it seems harder and harder to do ... I want to do a crash course as I know I can drive or least I could 5 years ago just don't want to start having lesson after lesson again. I have had 3 teachers too and didn't really get on with any of them!!

rootypig · 28/02/2013 00:07

hey kissy and Chunky, I am not as large of boob as you! but I find the Bravado nursing bras really comfy. these ones: www.johnlewis.com/bravado-silk-seamless-nursing-bra/p40298. I sleep in them. actually I have two that I live in, they are a bit gross well worn

not the sexiest, I concede! but that's rather low on the list in the rooty house Blush

Evilwater · 28/02/2013 03:02

I can't believe it, everyone is asleep but me, gr.... Angry

I'm off to make my will at 11. It will be great to know N will be looked after my sister and not DP as he can barely cope with him now. I can't imagine DP coping with a toddler or teenagerHmm my DP has mental health issues, OCD and undiagnosed aspergers and I'm worried he might do something if he was the sole career. Yes, he has said he can't cope with his change of routine, and the noise. He even struggles with social aspect now.

Sorry for unloading here, but I need to know I'm doing the right thing.

VQ- I'm so sorry to hear about your mother.

Contradictionincarnate · 28/02/2013 03:16

evil I'm not asleep dd just woke starving and happened to have large bottle ff before bed ...usually if she has it its much later ...I'm so tired. its been said before but I think if she wakes earlier than 5.30 it makes a big difference mentally. Sad

Contradictionincarnate · 28/02/2013 03:18

oh and evil the right thing for your lo is always the right thing!
