Thank you all :) no spotty I must of missed it, can you link me?

I had my 6 week check up and no internal for me after ventouse and stitches!

WLmum · 24/01/2013 18:41

Well we had a horrible night - dd has got a cold from dd1+2 and cried such a horrible pained cry every time I put her down, she wouldn't even co-sleep and feed like normal. In fact she wouldn't feed at all. I sat up with her on my chest most of the night (big dds were up and crying too), she had a temp of 38 and when I did manage to get her to feed this morning she puked it all - curdled and really yellow. Saw dr today who said she's clearly unwell but ok for now, but that if she'd seen her during the night she would have sent us to a+e! Poor little soul, touch wood she does seem to be on the mend now.

Can't believe so many have thrush!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/01/2013 18:41

Brooke you need to pm honey your name so she can friend request you Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 24/01/2013 18:43

Oh WLmum that sounds awful, poor you and your dds

halesball · 24/01/2013 18:43

Seconds we've been given drops not gel, but we use a ml i think she spits out more than half though.

Anyone whose baby suffered with constipation, how long did it take till pooplosion? And did you give them anything? Heidi hasn't pooed for 2 days now.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/01/2013 18:45

Hales have you tried YouTube for some tummy massages to help the poo?

HoneyMumandSon · 24/01/2013 18:47

hales after the gaviscon we had 2 and a half days of constipation (he usually goes at least 8 times a day). The pooplosion was epic and the nappy didn't stand a chance!

ISpyPlumPie · 24/01/2013 19:09

Poor little thing WL - hope she's better soon.

Well, after all that DM has booked the day of my 6 week check off to look after DS1 anyway. She's retiring soon so has some leave to use up and said she can't think of a better way to spend it than with her DGS. Love my mum.

Tbh, internal or not it's probably best he doesn't come with me - can just imagine him regaling his nursery class with what he's overheard during the contraception chat Grin.

itsMYNutella · 24/01/2013 19:11

I've heard that for babies being BF anything from ten poos a day to once every ten days is normal Shock. Yesterday DS did so much pooing and farting DP and I couldn't believe it when there was still more farting going on! Incredible baby farts happening here!

spotty that link wasn't just willy wig-wams / pee-pee tepees but infact a song! Ha ha ha ha!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/01/2013 19:17

Shock Was it?? I just thought it was a normal amazon page!

zcos · 24/01/2013 19:19

I have had piles for about 15 years I have ibs Sad and would flare up everytime I had a bad episode Sad may have already been mentioned but exercises work - doing pelvic floor exercises but with your bum hole ... read bout that and did it they cleared up better after preg doing those exercises than when I had bad ibs!

itsMYNutella · 24/01/2013 19:23

Spotty I thought so too but looking a bit closer it said the format for the purchase was mp3

monsterchild · 24/01/2013 19:49

ismy, ;ittle yunior is right there with the farting and pooping! Everyday brings another poonami! It's like an apoocalypse over here,
I swear. I am afraid i will not get to have the once-every-other-day poo
I was hoping for...

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/01/2013 20:04

Aw poor DD WLmum hope you're all better soon

Our poos are every 2 days and are horrific when they happen. None for 2.5 now though. I dread to think what's coming. As they're very dry and we're ff my midwife told me to give a very small amount of cooled boiled water which was working. But you're only supposed to give it under medical advice.

My 6 week check is monday as is J's. Having some pain when weeing so think they will probably take a look down there.

Cookiesandcoffee · 24/01/2013 20:18

Well we must be up to ten some days for sure. Dd1 was an every other day kinda girl.
Gave in to formula today.. This 6 week growth spurt is hitting hard and my usually good supply has buggered off.

Sorry to hear of those suffering with piles sounds really horrible.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/01/2013 20:22

WillYou dd was ff and she only pooed once a week! We used to have to swap her nappies halfway through Grin

Ds is being a horrible whingey fussy crying baby tonight Hmm

MaMaPo · 24/01/2013 20:30

Holy moly, these are some epic poo stories! C poos about twice a day, maybe 3 times, which is v manageable.

WLmum - you have been through it. So sorry to hear about it and hope your whole family is feeling better soon.

Right - anyone done baby swimming? Some of the NCT mums are doing it, but I'm not sure how keen I am, especially at £18 per 30 mins! I am a water baby and swam from age 4 - not sure swimming at 6 weeks will do much. Anyone got experiences to share with me?

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 24/01/2013 20:40

MaMapo if you can afford it I would do it. I think it would be lovely Smile you probably have to keep it up for a couple of years or they might forget?! Just guessing.... Think it would be nice though. Or you could wait until toddler age and then go to swimming lessons?

utopian99 · 24/01/2013 20:43

Mamapo - i want to with ds but was foiled today with car breakdown. Only £12/session here though.. Not sure how much it affects swimming later in life, more that it'll just be a fun thing to do with the LO..

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/01/2013 20:48

Wowser £18 for 30 mins! Can you not just take them to the pool yourself?

Had to do that on Saturday Spotty it was truly disgusting!

Bellaboo123 · 24/01/2013 21:23

Glad you got sorted on your thrush honey and seconds.

We went for baby massage today and they said if baby is constipated rub their belly in clockwise motion and then downward strokes along their leftside and then also anticlockwise circles at the base of their spine.

£18 for swimming!!! Omg!

I've got suppositories for my piles..mmmm lovely!

Sorry to hear about your car utopian fingers crossed it gets sorted

Welcome back brooke!

Here's to some good nights sleep all around!!!

WLmum · 24/01/2013 21:26

I did baby swimming with dd1, it was amazing! It didn't really help her proper swimming later though as we had a couple of years break! But it was a lovely thing to do and she just loves looking at the under water photo of herself.

Going to try and get us all to sleep asap, hoping for a less eventful night! Good luck all!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/01/2013 21:30

Ds has been awake and fussing for six hours now. I just want to sleep!

Secondsop · 24/01/2013 21:42

Poo wise we were every other day but he's coming onto one a day now (on mixed feeding).

Bought our new pushchair today - Uppababy Cruz. Haven't even taken it outside yet and I already love it ten times more than the quinny buzz.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 24/01/2013 21:47

Ethan poos about 6/7 times a day. It used to be every nappy/feed!

Fx ds sleeps for you soon spotty I'm having the opposite problem that Ethan is very sleepy ATM which means he's going to be wide awake in the middle of the night.
