Lots to catch up with.

Leo - I hope Niklas gets better soon with his coughing. At least you know you're in the right place for him to get fresh air.

BW - what a lot of things you did in one day with Hannah. There was atime when both DS and I enjoyed crafts but - happilly - he's moved onto other things now. And well done to Harrison for his first steps.

BonyM - is Phoebe back? Was she excited about the whole wedding & being away?

Jambot - thanks again for the Ergo. It was v v good, especially for the 3 hour walk on Saturday.

JoPG - another walk? How lovely that you have such a healthy hobby.

Pidge - sorry to hear about your friends' stillborn baby. Do you know if they are in contact with \link{http://www.uk-sands.org/\SANDS}? We received our local group's newsletter just the other day and it is actually amazing to see how much we have really moved on with life 2.5 years on. I still think of Louis every day but the pain is not constant anymore.

UMum - how is Ksenia? I hope your DH's visa situation clears so you can be together again soon.

Shall we try and organise another meet-up? Now I'm much more confident about driving.

The camp was fine, we had gorgeous weather, we are all a bit red, almost tanned. It was in Lurgashall, border of Surrey and West Sussex. Beautiful countryside. There were about 70 kids in our "village" from Wimbledon and Southwark, plus another similar number from Tooting, another village from Wandworth and at least one or two other groups on a different field. So all-in-all quite a huge number. The Woodies (Woodcraft Folk) were very well organised, lots of activities, walks in the forest, hide-and-seek in the forest, treasure hunt in the fields, games, crafts, work rotas for the kitchen etc. Camping wasn't too bad, although I was very cold the second night.

I drove all the way all by myself (with D&S, obviously, but without DH). I got lost just a tiny bit, maximum delay of 10-15 minutes. I felt good about being asked to help on Monday - I had to drive to the nearest town, Haslemere, and buy some sausages from Tesco. I must have been quite a site - really muddy jeans, baby in a sling, buying 120 sausages. Most villages around had their summer fete, i must have looked like I was providing the carousel rides or something.

Sorry for the epic post!

BonyM · 31/05/2006 11:17

Thanks for the link Jo - fab bra! Grin

Your camp sounds like fun Christina - have to admit though that I'm not really a camping sort of person. Prefer my home comforts these days!

Phoebe is not back until next Monday Sad, really missing her although we speak every day (we gave her dh's old mobile phone to take with her so that we could stay in touch).

Well, I am off to the gym for the first time this afternoon Shock! Have just eaten half a chocolate eclair that was languishing in the fridge, so need to burn some calories! Grace is booked into the creche for an hour, so hope she doesn't cry so much when I leave her this time.

3mummy · 31/05/2006 12:21

Hello everyone :), well it's been a while, 10mths in fact since my life exploded and I deserted you. Am slowly getting things back on track and thought joining you guys again would be a good start!

Faith is walking (since 12mths 2wks) and has 8 teeth, is an ardent thumb sucker and such a happy smiley little darling that she lights my life!

Haven't read up on you all but noticed a few new names since "my day" hee hee. Hello again.

leogaela · 31/05/2006 12:31

Welcome back 3mummy, its so nice to see you and Faith here again :):):):):):):)!

Welcome back 3mummy and Faith Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile So lovely to hear from you.

busywizzy · 31/05/2006 13:20

Let's do an update for 3mummy so she knows where we're all 'at' and doesn't feel left out Smile

Harrison isn't walking yet but took his first few steps at the weekend. He's got 6 teeth, one more just cutting through and one about to appear anyday now. He doesn't have any real words but says 'Ta', 'No' and 'Uh Oh'. He still doesn't have too much hair but he's gorgeous (apart from the past week Wink ) and smiley and very, very easy-going. I also have Hannah who's 8 going on 18 Grin

Oh it's just soooo nice that we've heard from you Smile

busywizzy · 31/05/2006 13:21

Jo, loooooove the bra Grin

Pidge · 31/05/2006 13:30

FANTASTIC pic of the bra Jo! Very snazzy Grin

Pidge · 31/05/2006 13:32

3Mummy - WELCOME BACK, brilliant to hear from you and Faith again.

My updated - Iris is 14 months, walking for the last month, not very many teeth, but plenty on their way, talking quite a lot, though only me and dp can understand what she's on about. She likes to start the day at 5.30am, but in all other ways is adorable Grin. Oh and I have another dd Cleo who is nearly 4.

LOL busy at Hannah being 8 going on 18!

BonyM · 31/05/2006 16:19

3mummy - lovely to have you back, I know we've all been wondering how you are getting on - can't believe it's been 10mths! Great to hear that things are coming together for you. When you get a moment, you must put some new photos of Faith on the photobucket.

My update - Grace has been walking for about a month now and is into absolutely everything. Constantly grabbing, touching everything she sees! Hard work but she's gorgeous Smile. 8 teeth (just), still not a fantastic amount of hair, but what there is is in tight little curls at the back. No real words yet apart from "ta" and "hiya" when she feels like it!

jambot · 31/05/2006 18:09

Great to hear from you 3mummy. Often wondered what had happened to you and how you were coping.
Lauren is 14 months, and has been walking properly for a couple of weeks. Full of smiles and giggles. No words( she did have some, but seem to have vanished), 11 teeth, quite a lot of darkish hair with curls at the back.

JoPG · 31/05/2006 20:36

Welcome back 3 Mummy. I was quite new when you departed, but hope you remember me.
My little bundle of fun is Freya who is 14 months. She has been walking for about 6 weeks now and is very much an outdoors girl, she loves to get messy in the garden. She has 8 teeth and no hair. She is starting to babble a few words, but she is not too great on that front. I also have Ethan, who is 4 (though very nearly 5, as he keeps on telling me)
Can't wait to hear how Faith is getting on.

3mummy · 31/05/2006 22:04

Thanx for the warm welcome. Faith is 14mths old now, she has lots of hair and is a proper little explorer now, she will climb anything she can! I have two older daughters, Lauren who is 6 and a half and Chloe who is 5.

Love my lovely brilliant daughters, they've helped me through so much, unknowingly ;).

JoPG · 01/06/2006 19:15

BonyM - How did Grace get on at the creche? Did all hell break lose, or was she ok? Hope you got a good workout.

Hope Phoebe is ok. I'm sure she is having loads of fun, but I bet you are missing her, esp with it being half term. I forget how old she is?

calebsmum · 01/06/2006 21:26

ohh long time since I posted! Time doesn't half fly. Caleb is now 15 months, walking and throwing some wonderful tantrums!! But on the whole i'm still loving being a mum, got a new job today so I now look after Caleb all day then work 5pm - 10pm 4 evenings a week at a local hotel. Will be knackered but I really need the money and don't want to put Caleb in nursery.

Nice now the weathers picking up, been going for lots of walks in the park and pushing him round in his smoby car, hope you are all alright :)

calebsmum · 01/06/2006 21:31

As usual forgot half the things I wanted to type! Caleb has 8 teeth, lots of fine blond hair and says cat, 1,2,3, mum, dad, no no no!, that.

Got some new piccies of him here

BonyM · 01/06/2006 22:07

Wow - great pictures of Caleb, he's got a really cheeky grin Grin. Hope the new job works out ok for you - don't wear yourself out too much though Smile.

Jo - went to the gym yesterday and today, and both times Grace sobbed as soon as I left, and sobbed again when I got back Sad. By all accounts though she was fine in between. Has made me feel incredibly guilty even so, and am finding it very hard to justify why I am doing this. I know that ultimately it will probably be good for both of us, but my whole instinct today was to rush back in and give her a cuddle. I did wait outside until she'd calmed though, and it took less than 5 minutes, so I guess not too bad.

BonyM · 01/06/2006 22:07

Oh - Phoebe is 8 btw (I have same age gap between my two as Busywizzy).

busywizzy · 02/06/2006 13:16

Hello everyone, especially Calebsmum who we haven't heard from in ages. Caleb's a right cutie Smile

Well Harrison had the mother of all tantrums yesterday, so bad it shocked me. I got him out of the car when we got home yesterday evening and he started screaming and going all limp. All the neighbours would definately have been able to hear him and so would everyone who lived about half a mile away.

Brought him indoors and had to put him on the floor in case I dropped him, he was lashing about that much. He then proceeded to fling himself down face forward and screamed full pitch for 25 minutes Shock Hannah had to go outside as the noise was hurting her head. Eventually calmed him down - well, just left him really until he stopped as everytime I touched him, he screamed louder (as if that was humanly possible). Gave him his milk and put him to bed, not even a bath. He slept through last night (the first night in ages) but woke again at 5.30am, which he's taken to doing the past week. I left him and he seemed quite happy chatting to himself and he eventually went back to sleep just after 6.30am. Woke again at 9am Grin

This morning, I discovered the cause of the grumpy moods, tantrums and broken nights/early mornings. Not only does he have two teeth cutting through next to his two bottom teeth, but two back molars have popped out this morning (and his gums look sooooooo sore) and I can see two more next to them about to appear. Poor little lamb, six teeth all at the same time, he must be so uncomfortable Sad

Seems much happier today although still a bit inconsolable if things don't go his way. Wanted a frube Hannah was eating today and grabbed it out of her hand. Squished it and of course, the yogurt went absolutely everywhere including all over Hannah who was wearing her school uniform as she was just about to go off to a choir thing she's involved in today. She wasn't happy and nor was Harrison when the offending Frube was removed from him.

Ho hum, roll on the weekend when DH is back.

BonyM, crying when you leave and then again when you come back is what they all do, no matter how happy they are in between. I hope this gets easier for you Smile

jambot · 02/06/2006 21:14

Oh dear Busy, sounds so unlike Harrison. Sure he's going through what Lauren did a few weeks back. Think you are right, it's those teeth.
Took Lauren for her last check up at the clinic today. She weighs 11.6kgs and is 82cms. Both in the 90th percentile, which is down on the 99th, which she has been since birth.
Got such a fright today. Looked up to see that Lauren had climbed right to the top of the ladder that we use to get to books at the top of a big unit in our entrance hall. She was touching the roof. Never thought she could climb it - the steps are huge. That's one more thing put away for a few years!

BonyM · 02/06/2006 21:55

Oh drat, just typed a really long post and then lost it - no time to repeat now, but Shock at Lauren and Sad at Harrison.

Will catch up later but in the meantime, have a nice weekend everyone. Smile

JoPG · 02/06/2006 21:57

Whoa - that sounds quite scary Jambot. What a pickle!

BW - Hope Harrison improves over the weekend. Those teeth have got a lot to answer for! And then after all that trauma they fall out - what a design fault!

Have had a lovely day today. Mum had Freya for the day and I took Ethan to the Science Museum. We had a great time, we went to the Pixar animation exhibition and spent absolutely ages in the basement trying out all the 'hands on' stuff. It was a fantastic day, I so rarely get to spend any time with him on my own. (BTW - It was also lovely to escape without a puschair, and not worry about nappies, or mealtimes, or highchairs!) Also, Freya had a great time with her Nanny, so everyone was happy.

Confession time - I am now off to watch Big Brother. Sad, I know Blush

jambot · 03/06/2006 06:53

Have put a pic of Lauren up the ladder on the Bucket.

calebsmum · 03/06/2006 20:14

Poor Harrison, not looking forward to Calebs molars either.

Glad Lauren is ok, bet she was proud of herself though!

JoPG I remember going to the science museum as a kid and loving it, can't wait to take Caleb when he's older.

Caleb just gone to bed, it's getting later and later as the evenings get lighter!

I got the job then changed my mind the next day, phoned them and said i'm pregnant so can't take up the position! Don't know why I lied, just couldn't phone them and say i've changed my mind.
