Poorly baby here yet again. The washer hasn't stopped in days.

HenriettaChicken · 13/11/2012 15:30

Poor baby Sad

VintageNancy · 13/11/2012 15:48

Worst night ever Sad

SantasHugandRollintheSnow · 13/11/2012 16:36

Oh no! Is dd wanting to feed all the time or is she poorly vintage?

VintageNancy · 13/11/2012 18:55

I think it's teeth but who knows! She won't settle so I end up feeding her to sleep but I don't think she's hungry as she's waking 10-20 minutes after nursing and screaming. Took her into bed in the end and she slept fine. She'd been sleeping so well so it does seem that something's bothering her.

SantasHugandRollintheSnow · 13/11/2012 21:15

Aww bless her I hope she's better soon.

christmasmummyvicky · 13/11/2012 21:47

Aw sorry some are having a hard tine, and get well soon to all the poorly babies! X

Not a good night either, really trying to get dd to drop the early morning feed. Don't mind the 12/1am one but the 4/5am is a killer still! Sometimes she goes longer but im trying to not feed her and get her to sleep other ways, last night her crying was real bad. poor thing, I feed her to calm her down. Should of maybe done it at the start, it turned into half an hour of crying! :(
I'm also one to jump in quickly, feed straight away, anything for a easy night! really trying not to now. I just wished she would go to one wake up all the time or none! Lol wishing.....
winge over!

On the plus side she took 2oz of ex breast milk from a cup with tea today, normally pushes all bottles away before even getting them close. But she is doing well with water now and I put it the same cup. Still will not take milk when due and feed. But only with solids? Strange!
Not that I wanna stop bf I just wish she would take milk other ways, so I can leave her if needed!

Tomorrow I'm out from 630pm, so dh is doing bath and bed without me doing a feed. will see how he gets on.

laughingGnomette · 14/11/2012 10:02

hug - aww, the waving and "hiya" sounds so cute!

To all those with sick babies, I wish them a speedy recovery.

How was the KIT day Jam? When are you planning to return to work?

We've just had our offer accepted on a new house! We are first time buyers so pretty exciting but it looks likely that we'll be moving in (all going well) at about the same time as I go back to work, N starts nursery and DP has surgery on his leg! We must be crazy as the place needs A LOT of work doing to it.

Very interesting seeing all of your routines. We don't have anything set in stone apart from bed times but a typical day currently goes something like this:

7:00am - N wakes. Feed, change
8:00 - 10:30 - morning nap - this tends to last just over 2 hours, his record on Sunday was 5 hours!!!!
10:30 - feed
11:00 - baby class of some type or another
12:00 - nap (30 mins)
1:00pm - BF then play with some finger foods
2:30 - nap (45 mins typically)
3ish - bf then get the buggy/sling out and go out for a few hours. N normally has a short nap in the pram.
6:00 - bf then some more finger foods or purée.
7:30 - change into sleep suit, story, feed
8:00 - bed (one or two wake ups in the night).

He seems to sleep and feed a hell of a lot!

JambalayaWarmMincePie · 14/11/2012 11:37

It was rubbish. Pretty much reinforced all the negative feelings I had before I started my mat leave. I'll go back in January, but I'm not sure for how long! Sad

SantasHugandRollintheSnow · 14/11/2012 12:41

:( jam that sucks. I go back in jan too but not doing kit days this time.

laughing A sleeps a lot too, our typical day:

7am wake up
8am bottle
8.30 school run
9.30 nap until at least 10.30, usually later
12 lunch and bottle
12.30 nap for over an hour, sometimes 3!
3 school run
4 tea
4.30 possible nap
6.30 bath/changed etc
7 bottle
8 bed.

A won't drink water or juice and his nappies aren't as wet as he's bottle fed. He's having the same number of bottles as pre weaning but I think he needs more liquid as his poo can be a little hard too.

SantasHugandRollintheSnow · 14/11/2012 12:42

Ps laughing congrats on the house!!

VintageNancy · 14/11/2012 15:47

Another shit night. Have posted in Sleep to see if anyone has any bright ideas Sad.

yummymummytobe1 · 14/11/2012 15:56

Okay 8 nappies since 11:00 this is not fun anymore. I can't wait for daddy to get home and take over as tired doesn't even begin to cut it.

SantasHugandRollintheSnow · 14/11/2012 16:38

yummy have you spoken to the dr? Is he being sick or is it just diorrhea? If its sick too it's prob a bug, if not it could be an allergy or intolerance. As he's been bf rather than ff it could be cows milk protein or alternatively gluten, both cause diorrhea. Worth checking, how long has he had it? Banana, apples and rice help bad tummies usually or just bf for a while and give food a rest.

yummymummytobe1 · 14/11/2012 17:06

SantasHugandRollintheSnow we went to the GP first thing and he thought it was a tummy bug, as they are going around. (no poo Sherlock). I was worried H might have become dehydrated because he won't eat/drink anything without a fight. Thankfully he is okay hydration wise.

Although H seems to be worse this afternoon than he was more poos than any little boy should be able to make. I have managed to get him to drink water with Dyrolyte (sp) at the moment. He started being sick on Sunday and by yesterday was getting both. Trying not to give him anything solid until his tummy settles. Hopefully he is coming to the end of it. If he is still like this on Friday then we will go back and see what else they suggest.

Love the Christmas screen name.

Nordicmom · 14/11/2012 20:31

yummy , I really hope your little one gets better soon !

JambalayaWarmMincePie · 14/11/2012 21:25

Oh these poorly babies.

DD has a chest infection. Luckily, shes decided she likes the taste of the antibiotics and will happily take it off the spoon. Shes exhausted though as all her naps are broken by coughing, poor thing. Sad

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 14/11/2012 23:01

We've all been ill here too.
And now DS2 has got a top tooth just breaking the gum

He is in my bed all night tonight for lovely cuddles :) DH is in work and my mum has got DS1

JambalayaWarmMincePie · 15/11/2012 10:21

We've had an awful night. Max of ten mins sleep before coughing wakes her. Shes exhausted. Poor DP had to leave for work at 5am and is a walking zombie.

Nordicmom · 15/11/2012 20:38

I hope everyone gets better soon !
We had our meeting with our lawyer and barrister today and soon have our first court appointment for DD case she was like an angel all day but threw up at dinner time so don't know if she gagged on something or is sick like the others...

Flisspaps · 15/11/2012 20:51

SantasHugandRollintheSnow · 15/11/2012 20:53

Oooh poor ds fliss.

Good luck nordic, how many times will you need to go?

A projectile vomited his last bottle of the day, luckily I was out. I'm an emetophobe and I'm totally panicking he has a bug, don't know how ill cope if he does.

christmasmummyvicky · 15/11/2012 21:18

Hope your little is managing with teeth ok fliss?

still no teeth here!

Dd grapped my friends little girls dummy, straight out from Her mouth- little monkey!
She is ill and has a bronchitis viruses, so if she is gonna get ill now she might now! :(

Nordicmom · 16/11/2012 08:37

No teeth here...
Unbelievably DD managed make the fuse go by throwing up straight onto an extension cord ( and my iPad ,luckily it had a cover on ...). I'll have to say that's a first ;0. The lights went off the washing washing machine etc. Now she's asleep poor thing . I'll leave solids for now after dinner came out last night . Will give formula in smaller doses more often and water to see if it helps. She seems happy enough in general so can't be too sick , maybe a tad warm .
