FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 24/07/2012 14:37

I keep meaning up write all these new things in book Blush. I think at the time, 'I'll remember this day as its the same day that ..... happened' Hmm

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 24/07/2012 14:40

Yay, just ordered S new car seat. Got email through from mothercare for 10% off £100 so just went for it Grin

That's it though, not spending another penny on her! Can't remember the last time I bought myself something that wasn't yummy food Blush

Mamamaiasaura · 24/07/2012 14:42

Grin fuzzy which one did you go for in the end? I think J has a while to go in her first seat yet. I think I have accepted she's probably my last baby (and growing up too fast). She climbed the stairs today and is "talking" more. It's a serious of growls Shock Grin lol

Mamamaiasaura · 24/07/2012 14:43

Serious?! Series

Mamamaiasaura · 24/07/2012 14:53

fuzzy Grin love it! Reviews are good and my favourite colour. A bit Envy as had to buy everything in neutral (black) as knew we would have another baby and use same seat. My dh us fair too tight sensible.

Mamamaiasaura · 24/07/2012 14:54

Is not us!! Ffs I wish I could one blinking post without cocking up spelling

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 24/07/2012 15:01

I've been the same with trying to buy black, but I couldn't help it. Love that purple!!!

Mamamaiasaura · 24/07/2012 15:20

It is gorgeous. Boys can have purple too. Ds's loved pink for ages. Right J awake and need to pop chicken on. Roast tonight (I'm mad) Smile

CheshireDing · 24/07/2012 17:35

Bloody hell Sassy, glad you had a Vodka though after that, what a tinker Grin

FX for you fuzzzy and you Pebble. Glad to see the use of my phrases :)

Yes sorry but are you new CarolinesDad?

Fuzzzy got P weighed today and she is 17.5 lb and still on 25th. I said I thought she would have weighed more the amount of food she hoovers up but the lady weighing did say she probably burns it off if she is constantly on the move. I guess that's what must be happening because she never stops moving, she's like a mad woman! Need to measure her length too.

CheshireDing · 24/07/2012 17:39

Still 26" with my B&Q tape measure Hmm

ClimbingPenguin · 24/07/2012 18:23

I think carolinesdad is the resident fatally flawed person

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 24/07/2012 19:07

Oh I 100% agree boys can have purple!! I wouldn't let it go to waste if next baby was a boy Grin

cheshire I just measures her, 27inches which puts her still on 50th centile. That's the line she has kept from when I've started to measure her length. And at 20lbs 13oz last wednesday puts her just above 75th for weight. Know what you mean about on the move, S just never stops!

Outnumbered4to1 · 24/07/2012 21:32

sassy how awful - so glad all is ok ((hugs))

I am losing my mind with 3 kids under my feet. Ds1 is refusing to be civil to ds2 and I'm about to cave in and stick the tv on Angry

ipswichwitch · 24/07/2012 21:42

Oh god sassy and mama I hope your J's are ok, what a fright you've had. Big hugs to them and big g n t's for you both.

The meal was lovely (thanks sp and fuzzzy) and we had a great night and sleep. Then it all went wrong on Monday. The HV came and said N looked pale. He's been pale since birth and nobody commented before despite us mentioning it to several drs. She ends up ringing Gp to get us an appt to get him checked for anaemia, resulting in us going to hospital for blood tests. They found he's very anaemic which is odd as he has no other symptoms (no shortness of breath, etc).

They think he's been anaemic since birth ( which we were unaware of) and has got worse over time. He's at the point where his food intake is only being used to keep him going rather than helping him gain weight. They also think the anaemia has reduced his appetite. So after talk of blood transfusions they decided to give iron replacement a go, so he takes that 3x a day, and they plan to monitor him frequently. We stopped overnight for observation, spoke to a dietician who says we're doing everything right in terms of diet and meals, just persevere really.

Hopefully the iron replacement gives him the boost he needs, and helps his weight gain. Poor little guy didn't get much sleep on the ward, and seems we have no hope tonight as there's a huge gang of kids outside creating all sorts of racket :(

Good luck fuzzzy for the job. Will have a proper read tomorrow to catch up on all your doings :)

FuzzzyDuckosaurus · 24/07/2012 21:45

Oh ips Sad. Hope everything goes well with the tablets. It's just one thing after another right now eh? Hugs to you x

Scheherezade · 24/07/2012 21:53

Oh poor little guy ip I hope the iron tablets help. Do they know why he became anaemic?

Award for crappest mum goes to me. I took Cs nappy off, and laid him down on lawn to crawl. He started crying after 30 secs, so I picked him up, and he had 5 bites on him :( turns out I'd laid him down on an ants nest!!! :( :( so he got bath and sudocrem. Urgh.

Penelope1980 · 25/07/2012 06:17

Thanks for all the food tips! Smile Will have to try some of them now ... after i have caught up on the thread of course ...

Outnumbered4to1 · 25/07/2012 06:43

ips what a worry Sad I hope N is soon better with the extra iron. How did they not pick it up at previous appointments?

Outnumbered4to1 · 25/07/2012 06:46

...and poor C! scheh nappy off on the grass sounds right up Leo's street. He loves being naked and loves the cool grass. I will definitely check for ants - thanks! I hope C is all better soon.

We got all sorts of bites on holiday. Several different kinds judging by appearance Sad

LittlePebble · 25/07/2012 09:06

Morning all!
sassy glad J is ok made my heart jump just reading your post Sad
ipswitch poor N so glad they have diagnosed it now.
Job interview was quite bad really, there were four people there to interview me for a part time admin role Shock will be very surprised if I get it they didn't seem interested in what I've done so think they may already have someone in mind.

Off in road trip to north Devon today hoping we don't roast in the car!
