SB not two years though if you try to time dc2 to arrive just about when dc1 reaches school age? So ttc Oct/Nov/Dec 2013. Does not sound that long really, does it Wink. No chance your dh would change his mind? I still don't know how I managed to get dh to agree to dd2... leaving it up to chance worked rather well, hehehe (mind you, I have fertility issues so he didn't expect anything to happen!).

Talking of dd2, she seems fine. Talked a lot about falling down the stairs and re-enacted it with her cuddly toy to show me what happened (and then consoled said cuddly toy, bless). We had a bit of a chat and agreed that she will have to go backwards for a little while because her legs aren't really long enough to walk down the stairs forwards just yet like her much taller sister does. She nodded wisely and seemed to take it in. She still said her neck hurts and I have been to check on her a few times since she went to bed, mainly because I am still in shock!

InmaculadaConcepcion · 22/04/2012 07:11

Ah, BG, that's horrible when that happens, isn't it? I remember when DD tumbled down the stairs a few months back when I was nearby but not close enough to stop it or catch her. She was okay too, but it was a moment when everything went slow motion for a while. DD now prefers going forwards downstairs, but she bumps down on her bottom, so it's fairly safe. Mind you, although she's done it a few times without supervision, it still makes me nervous as she's apt to get distracted and forget to be cautious...

SB well, you'll have the fun of treating yourself to some more bump-wear when the time comes - which, as SC says, isn't that far away, when you think about it!! I've been enjoying the clothes-acquiring aspect of pregnancy this time round.... Smile

StoneBaby · 22/04/2012 11:50

Well we're at A&E at the moment as DH had some saw dust sprayed into his eye. Thankfully DS is kept entairnted by films on the ipod and biscuits.

SocietyClowns · 22/04/2012 14:59

Oh dear SB hope your dh is okay.

StoneBaby · 22/04/2012 16:17

He's fine just a very sore eye and fx the saw dust has been flushed away. Still it took us 2 hours to see a doctor after the nurses dealt with him

StoneBaby · 22/04/2012 21:19

I think the selling of my mat clothes has given DH a rethink on ttc Grin I'm not counting my chicken but he asked me how long it'll take my body to get ride of the pill effect... To be followed Grin

SocietyClowns · 22/04/2012 21:27

SB Way to go!! Grin

SocietyClowns · 22/04/2012 21:28

Shame I won't be able to play the 'let's leave it up to chance' trump card again... Wink

SocietyClowns · 22/04/2012 21:33

Dd2 gave me her sweetest smile at bedtime and asked whether she could possibly, if it was okay with me, go to school tomorrow like her sister Grin. She seemed a little disappointed that as she is only two she has to wait a little while yet... Wink

SocietyClowns · 23/04/2012 10:50

dd2 has started stuttering slightly when she is particularly keen to get her point across or is excited about what she has to tell. It is really sweet (and I think fairly normal for her age). We give her plenty of time to finish her sentences/story, too, so I hope her mouth leans to keep up with her thoughts! Smile

SocietyClowns · 23/04/2012 10:50

'learns' not 'leans' - wish my typing could keep up with my thoughts! Confused

SocietyClowns · 23/04/2012 13:14

Hey, there is a Dragon on here. Have I missed something? And where is everyone gone?

BigBadBear · 23/04/2012 13:46

It's St George's Day SC, hence the Dragon

I'm here, but only briefly :(

SocietyClowns · 23/04/2012 14:00

Oh, I thought it was a Welsh Dragon

SocietyClowns · 23/04/2012 18:17

Dd2 just said 'tank you Mama' when I dealt with a particularly nasty nappy! I have a polite toddler Shock

StoneBaby · 23/04/2012 18:48

Hi BBB

DS does says pease (please) and merci 'maman' most of the time. It's nice when they pick up some of the polite phrases. He has also discovered that he has got a zizi (willy) and that daddy does too Grin Thankfully he says this in French and not in English, I guess it'll avoid embarrassing situations.

SocietyClowns · 23/04/2012 20:50

SB Grin

BeeMyBaby · 24/04/2012 14:11

SB I was hoping that DD1 would say Khakha instead of poopoo and I would be saved that embarrassment but MIL beat me to it and taught DD1 'poopoo' instead of Khakha when she was on holiday....

SconesForTea · 24/04/2012 16:09

SB good result Grin FX for you!

I feel terribly listless today. We've had a bad couple of nights with DD2 vomiting fairly regularly round the clock (DD1 had a vomiting bug but hers only lasted one day). The Dr has told me over the phone that I don't need to worry unless she has dry nappies, so I'm not overly concerned, just feel bad for her poor little thing. But I just can't seem to motivate myself to do ANYTHING today. We've had plumbers in and the water off all day, which has been my excuse so far (can't do cleaning/washing with no water Smile) but the water's back on now. And I'm still listlessly surfing the net (DD2 is asleep and DD1 is at MILs). I have a to-do list as long as my arm. Longer. My leg.

Someone tell me to get to it!!

StoneBaby · 24/04/2012 16:34

scones come on go and fill the washing machine and come back on the net after Grin

bee DS also says caca and pipi

I'm at the doctor surgery now where there's free wifi Grin

StoneBaby · 24/04/2012 21:29

Where is everybody today?

BigBadBear · 24/04/2012 21:39

I'm here sb. Been restoring some order to a pharmacy related thread but don't have anything to say really and thought that you were all probably a bit bored of me just coming on here to wave.

rainbowweaver · 24/04/2012 22:24

Also here sb, also feeling somewhat listless though that was more yesterday, also I suspect related to lack of sleep. In my case a rare opportunity to catch up on various episodes of True Blood, Lost Girl, Grimm etc, during which I didn't go to bed till past midnight and regretted it the next day when I just couldn't get myself to do anything productive. Put myself back to bed early last night at 10 and feeling much better now.

Get on with the washing scones!!! Hope tonight's better for your DD2..... and you.

AbsB · 25/04/2012 09:51

I am lurking but just cannot write today. I'm just too tired. Been up at 5 am for what feels like weeks now and I'm starting to feel it. I was boiling an egg and making tea yesterday morning... I put the tea bag in the egg pan and made tea!!!! Confused I just wanted to say I am here and give everyone a big wave! Smile

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 25/04/2012 10:09
