Happy birthday WWVDds

Dd3 had a really good time. She keeps singing Happy birthday to herself now!

floozietoozie · 09/10/2012 13:46

Happy birthday to all those who've just had them. It was dd's two weeks ago tomorrow. I did write a post but lost it. She got a mini trampoline which has been a hit with both of them.

House of sick at mine the past few days. Ds was throwing up through the night on Sunday/mon so no school yesterday or today, and dp ill too. Hoping dd and I avoid it. Dp and I are supposed to be going away on Friday night to a family do in his side. Will be first time ever left both kids and been away from home together. So hoping dp recovers, although I'm not massively looking forward to tge event, just the prospect of uninterrupted sleep and not having to do bedtime/get up time. Will still have to get up quite early to get back but still.

How are the pg people feeling? Hope all well.

WhatWouldVegansDo · 11/10/2012 23:22

ft, hope the house of sick is well now! Happy belated birthday to your DD.
And to yours, Ood. DS loves singing too, his favourite is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. He is really good at it. Melts my heart every time!

DS had a nice day in the Black Forest, we had a good break away, our first really since he was conceived on honeymoon, excluding the trips to see family.

I feel I can now start gearing up for Christmas! :)

WhatWouldWitchesDo · 21/10/2012 00:03

Where is everyone! Hope all's well.

DS stirred in the middle of the night last night, sat up, looked at me and said "Mummy! I'm so happy!" then fell into my arms for a cuddle and promptly fell back to sleep! Must have been having a nice dream! :) Made me smile a lot! :)

TheAngelsHaveTheOod · 21/10/2012 08:53

wwwd nice name change!
We are currently the house of illness. Dd3 has cough bug thing and since she started same time as my mum who has whooping cough we are keeping a close eye ! GPs keep saying it isn't as she's been jabbed but I've read they don't always work. She's getting better now though ( and my mum is but v slowly).
This has all meant we've had a chaotic couple of weeks with child care and having to take time off work ( mainly dh).

TheAngelsHaveTheOod · 21/10/2012 08:53

Dd3 talks in her sleep too wwwd usually yelling at her sisters!

SpectresandSpooks · 22/10/2012 22:11

Sunset here

Sorry to hear that your DD and mum are poorly Ood. Here's hoping its not whooping cough. How's the pregnancy going?

WWWD great name! So cute about your DSSmile. He's growing up so fast! DD seems to be changing daily since her 2nd birthday. Such a little girl now, although she's gone off pasta, my fast meal of choice! Must try harder!!

Hope everyone else is well. Xx

WhatWouldWitchesDo · 22/10/2012 22:35

Hope the household are better, ood.

They grow sooooo fast, don't they, S&S. I can't believe it! And mine has a decent spread of hair now too, so looking more like a toddler than a baby.

TheAngelsHaveTheOod · 23/10/2012 19:16

Dd3 is ok now but my mum is still v rough.

s&S pg ok for baby but am already on crutches and restricted duties at work :( am also huge and everyone goes Hmm at 19 weeks.

SpectresandSpooks · 23/10/2012 22:36

Sad for the crutches Ood. Nearly halfway there though. Xx

TheAngelsHaveTheOod · 24/10/2012 09:24

Half way if I have a section at 38 weeks!

SpectresandSpooks · 25/10/2012 19:05

There's positive thinking! Grin. Just been to a culinary arts fair today in preparation for a new job in December in charge of catering training for my service. Got home earlier than normal and had a great evening with DDSmile

TheAngelsHaveTheOod · 25/10/2012 19:14

Its nice when that happens spooks

Oodthunkit · 03/11/2012 22:02

Bumping back up to see how everyone is!

floozietoozie · 03/11/2012 22:47

Fine thanks Ood. Dd did her first wee in a potty tonight so feeling pretty pleased.

Oodthunkit · 03/11/2012 22:57

Aww.well done her!

Dd3 took her potty to a gathering the other day and they all had a try HmmShe wasn't happy with that though!

floozietoozie · 04/11/2012 23:11

WWWD I was just looking at your FB photos and wondering what DS thinks of his balance bike? I'm thinking of getting one for DD for Christmas.

WhatWouldGuyFawkesDo · 05/11/2012 18:08

Ooh, go for it! Though it is pretty darn cold right now and only set to get colder for Christmas, it's hard to ride when they are all padded out like Michelin men! :)

SpectresandSpooks · 13/11/2012 08:20

Morning, username slightly out of date......

Taking DD for a hip x-ray this morning for her dysplasia. Really hoping it will be ok as it's only invasive procedures from now on if she's not ok Sad. The x-ray will be fun.....got to get her to lie naked on the slab straight. That was easier a year ago. Now she has monkey like strength!

What is everyone thinking of getting their DC's for Christmas?

Oodthunkit · 13/11/2012 09:03

Dd3has far too much Blush
Main presents are playmobil 123 zoo and a dolly/dolly bed as she's getting her own room in the new year ( hopefully) and dolly can sleep in her bed next to her.

Good luck with the check up.

WhatWouldVegansDo · 13/11/2012 20:27

Spook, how did you get on this morning? Hope she is ok.

DS is getting four gifts from Santa, we've asked Santa to follow the something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read thing.
Want: not sure yet! Something robot-related, maybe. He loves robots at the moment! And spiders and trains.
Need: maybe an easel
Wear: some cowboy boots
Read: box set of Mr.Men Books.

He will get some stocking fillers too, socks, pants, bubbles, a jigsaw, satsuma, chocolate, a soft toy, stuff like that. Mostly stuff that he'd get or need anyway!

We will get him a few things from us too. He doesn't really get much from anyone else. We were meant to be getting him a toy weightlifting bar, a friend was bringing it from NY for us, but then Sandy hit and they could not bring it. It is already ordered and in NY. So waiting to see what postage would be, hope it is not too bad, and hope it can get here in time. Everything takes ages to get here, I think Deutsche Post sit on things for a month, which was why we originally had the friend bringing it over. That and to save postage fees!

We are also doing the Christmas Eve hamper thing, new PJs etc. Anyone else doing this? I bought them in the 2011 January sales, they were an utter bargain. How's that for organised! :)

Oodthunkit · 13/11/2012 20:37

My stocking are like that, always have knickers too!

SpectresandSpooks · 14/11/2012 13:50

I remember you doing that last year with the need, want etc bit [WWVD} and was going to ask you to remind me of it for this year as I like the idea of that!

Need: I think a swing.
Want: Not sure either! Perhaps some doll accessories (the current big thing)
Read: The book of noisy bottoms Grin
Wear: A cool winter jumper I think!

DD has a stocking with her name on it and a satsuma in the toe is of course standard issue from Lapland Smile.
DD found the X-ray room fairly terrifying and I had no time to get her used to it. A darkened room with a big machine coming out the ceiling then your mother holding you down whilst wearing a large bright yellow apron can't be fun. She cried, but recovered quickly. They're going to fast track the results so hopefully we will hear within a week. Fingers crossed it will be ok.

WhatWouldVegansDo · 14/11/2012 17:54

Good memory! :) Yeah, I like it a lot, it's sweet!

There is another similar idea that goes along the Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh lines: Gold for the big present, something they really want, Frankincense - something for the body (translate as you wish - clothes, body lotion, exercise DVD!) and Myrrh for the spirit, maybe a musical instrument.

The book of noisy bottoms??? I must research this!

I've seen the stockings I want to get our family, but I am waiting to see if I get a second child, as I don't want to order them and then they get discontinued and poor second child is left out!

I really hope your darling little girl is ok.

Oodthunkit · 14/11/2012 18:44

Dd3 likes 'the mole who knew it was none if his business'
