I have a mini black & decker hoover, love it. Clearly remember how excited i was to get it when DS2 was BLW. Feel bad as I should have recommended all BLW-ers get something similar, saving my sanity is not an exaggeration!

Got HV later for DD's development check later, sure she's fine, but curious to get an official weight & length - typical non-pfb as i haven't taken her to a weighing clinic once!

kittycatcat · 09/01/2012 09:12

Why have i not thought of a hand held? I know this has been discussed before but what finger foods can i give S? He's 8 months this week, one of the younger Aprilites.

Now. Passports. What do i do for S?

My body is p@ssing me off. I have been having twinges in my ovaries / abdoben since last thurs (maybe even Wed). AF not due til Fri, so too early for a pos test i guess (naturally i am testing already - i know i know). I feel like AF is on the way, but i remember being convinced it was last time until i had the implantation pain. Not long to wait i guess.

OhFraktiousTree · 09/01/2012 09:39

kitty anything as long as it isn't too salty. Easy first foods are ripe fruit, microwaved apple rings, toast, roast sweet potato wedges, broc/cauli florets and cooked carrot batons. Essentially if you've puréed it you can give it to him in its natural state.

JKS good luck with the HV.

Flight was bad by our standards but that was mostly chesty cold and turbulence. The other people near us said he was very well behaved, they hardly noticed him and it was better than they dared hope! He's usually just so good that it was extra tough. 13 hours mostly sleep between going to bed and getting up though and just finished a 1hr15 nap. We're getting there.

I want a mini Hoover. I should have bought and imported one. Off to scour JL clearance....

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 09/01/2012 10:02

Another one with a handheld Dyson. We killed the dirt buster and black & decker ones Blush, we really are mingers!

Kitty - you can do a passport application on line. You submit the form on line then it is printed off and sent to you for signatures, pictures, documents etc. You can also do the passport picture online. Take a picture of your lo sitting behind or laying on a White sheet then download it (google for a site, loads of people do them) and get them printed and sent to you. All from the comfort of your sofa!

I daren't take I to get weighed. I fear he will break the scales Grin

GlaikitFizzog · 09/01/2012 11:59

Ok ladies I am freaking out a bit here. You know about my AF issue from last week. Well last night and all this morning I've been feeling flutterings Shock. And they are definitely there, not my imagination play tricks. We haven't DTD since mid october, then I had first AF 12 Nov and then again the week before Christmas. But as I said before they were really light compared with what I was like beofre. I'm going to have POAS aren't I . Fuck fuck fuck. i thought I had one left from last time but I can't find it. Shit shit shit.

kittycatcat · 09/01/2012 12:16

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Fizz

Starshaped · 09/01/2012 12:27

OMG Fizz!

Disclaimer: I never say OMG but felt this situation deserved one!

OhFraktiousTree · 09/01/2012 12:43

Ohhhhhh. Oooooooooooh! Yes you need to POAS. We'll hold your hand virtually.

GlaikitFizzog · 09/01/2012 12:50

No no no no. you are all meant to say "don't be silly fizz"

I can't do it again. Not yet.

Will have to go out to get test but girls are coming gore coffee in half an hour. Will have to wait. Oh I feel sick.

GlaikitFizzog · 09/01/2012 12:59

I could ask one onf them to bring one. Some of them are TTC already.

If I am feeling flutterings then I'm a bit on.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 09/01/2012 13:08

Fizz don't panic. It is really common to feel those flutterings once you've had a baby, it is because things inside down there are never quite the same again! It does feel like the first flutters of a baby, I was Shock when I got it.

kittycatcat · 09/01/2012 13:09

Do. And report back.

GlaikitFizzog · 09/01/2012 13:14

Ali you have no idea how glad I am you have said that. I could snog you. Thats what it will be won't it? Chances of me be up the duff are slim aren't they. With AF being back and lack of DTD. [relieved emoticon]

I've text my friend to bring a test anyway. It'll just be a cheapie ebay jobby, but I'll do it anyway.

kittycatcat · 09/01/2012 13:24

At least it will put your mind at rest x

MrsWajs · 09/01/2012 14:08

Shock Shock Shock Fizz

I've got butterflies just from reading your post! The sensible part of my brain says "no, it would be very unlikely you were pg" the completely irrational side is thinking "wow, that's great, YAAAAAAAAY!!" ahem Blush

Looking forward to hearing the result of the test either way :)

Think a hand held hoover thingy should be invested here, R is making a right bloody mess these days!
She has also taken to waking up for an hour at about midnight the last 2 nights Hmm not cool.

Sorry don't have time for a full post as off to work to find out my shifts for next month :(

Will be back later for a Fizz update.

Cyclebump · 09/01/2012 16:24

I have the flutterings too, I'm hoping it's just that I've had a baby in the past year. A few friends have said they felt flutterings too afterwards...

Keep us updated Fizz

GlaikitFizzog · 09/01/2012 16:41

Done it.............

kittycatcat · 09/01/2012 16:42

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell?

GlaikitFizzog · 09/01/2012 16:44

BFN Grin

kittycatcat · 09/01/2012 16:44

Are you hugely relievwed? :)

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 09/01/2012 16:45

Ah Fizz - mixed feelings, or properly PHEW? Grin

GlaikitFizzog · 09/01/2012 16:53

Properly phew with a swish of the brow! I really couldn't go through all that again just yet. And how would that look pitching up at work next week to say BTW I'm up duffed again!

It wouldn't have been the end of the world, but it had just confirmed to me that I am not ready for number 2 at all.

Starshaped · 09/01/2012 17:03

A big pheeeew then! Smile

JKSLtd · 09/01/2012 17:37

Phew indeed Fizz Grin

Though since having DC I agree with Ali & Cycle, i've felt 'flutterings' when I've nown for definite that i'm not pregnant.
I don't know if it's just that we're more sensitive/aware from having felt a baby, guessing it's just the bubbles moving around in our stomachs/intestines?
weird though.

Just google the Dyson handheld as our B&D one is well-used Grin & Shock at the prices!! Had no idea you could spend so much on a small hoover. Think mine was very cheap in comparison.
And DH said oh we should get one if others are recommending it, i think he may change his mind now!

BuckminsterFullerene · 09/01/2012 17:43

Seriously, fantastic post-work reading!
Sorry you got so freaked out Fizz, and glad you're relieved!

I had some major flutterings this weekend, and I've been the most exhausted I can remember (and felt a bit sick at times), but I've just had the heaviest AF ever (well, second heaviest, heaviest was before xmas and made me nearly pass out at work!). And we've barely DTD. So there's no realistic way.

But I almost considered POAS yesterday. But, like I said, there's no way, unless I seriously adjust my religious perspective!

So, when's Kitty testing?! Grin
