The dreaded 3 in a row Beans. Grin

VagolaJahooli · 13/10/2011 00:05

8 is fine Beans, I'm really so excited, no idea what I'm going to wear!

Had a lovely quite night of Vino and giggling at a friends house. There is a little group of 4 of us who meet as often as one of our husbands is away. It really is lovely, they are great girls and I'm so happy and lucky that I know them. We are planning a big Christmas bash for late November. It's going to be huge with about 50 people invited. It's a 1920's New Orleans theme, so lots of flappers fancy dress and cocktails!

Also need the old white light for a friend from here whose 4 month old needs cranial surgery. She has taken her baby home to Australia for the surgery, but it has meant leaving her husband and 2 young boys here in NL. It's is all very stressful for her and her family.

EffiePerine · 13/10/2011 10:58

Just a quick one to say I don't think I can make it tomorrow Sad. Would have loved to meet up with you all but its not really practical at the mo.

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 15:47

Hi. Just a quick post to let you know DC3 is on the way. Only 4 weeks and experiencing morning sickness for the first time.

Hope you're all well. Smile

Beans36 · 13/10/2011 16:06

Of Effie - boooo hoooo! But understand. Can be hard.

Kayz - bloody brilliant news! Well done you! When are you due? Will keep fingers and legs crossed for you!

Our wedding anniversary today. Had sneaky little bonk this morning. Before I even realised it was our anniversary! Making five bean chili at the moment - smells disgusting! But hopefully will taste nice. Have put some meat in as well, for my benefit and according to the recipe I found!

Went into my old office for a lunchtime meet up today. DD2 had 20 mins of sleep in car on the way there and that's it! She is knackered now, but refusing any more sleep. And she has just twatted her head on our coffee table. Poor mite. We're all coming down with a cold at the moment, so am keeping them inside out of the drizzle. Which is probably an error as we all have slight cabin fever. But I've got a sore throat and head, so don't really feel up to traipsing to the park for the sake of fresh air.

Was really nice to see my old work pals. A real treat. I do miss them. But I don't miss the work - it was so dull! They work in The Ark now, so much nearer than the West End and no congestion charge to pay. Brilliant. We ate in the office canteen, so I&P were in their element running around disturbing everyone who was trying to have a nice quiet lunch. Thankfully I took their pushchairs, so they were entertained!! It also meant I could sit back and relax a bit as well as they couldn't get out.

Anyhooooo, must go and do some entertaining of the kids. So excited about our househunting on Monday - yay!
xx

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 16:24

Due the 21st June Beans I only had 24 day cycles so found out when I was just over 3 weeks.

How are you?

VagolaJahooli · 13/10/2011 16:28

Oh no Effie, that's a real shame. I've got this terrible fear that your all going to bail on me! Please tell me there are some definates.

Beans36 · 13/10/2011 16:35

I am a definite, Vag, don't you worry! My illness will not affect my attendance, unless I get properly ill! But I doubt that somehow.

Ooh, DD2 born on 20th June, Kayz - great time of year! Well done you!

xx

Beans36 · 13/10/2011 16:37

very top of budget
still at top, but a little bit lower

My property porn. I have a good feeling about these two as they have village schools and pubs and churches and shops in village. Brilliant.

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 16:41

Beans my mums birthday is 22nd June. It's very exciting as it's DPs first.

Beans36 · 13/10/2011 16:56

PS Have just tried five bean chilli. I suppose it's quite nice. I'm very glad I put the meat in, because I have found that I HATE the texture and taste of the beans in it. I know DH will love them though. Could be a very farty evening, I suspect!

AAAvegetable · 13/10/2011 20:22

I will be there Vegster. What is the earliest anyone is arriving. I'll be done in court at 5.30 and that's in the City. Can't decide whether to get tube back across London to come home and then back out again an hour later, or whether to hang around town til you guys are about. Also I only have Lady's number, Veg do you have a number? Can you share on FB?

Effie, sorry to miss you but totally understand.

Beans I love the second house, although what on earth were they thinking with their animal print sofas?!?!

Congrats Kayz! Lovely news. When is your wedding date? How preggers will you be?

Kayzr · 13/10/2011 20:26

Wedding is the 17th February so will be about 21 weeks then. So Ive had to find a new dress.

MomOrMum · 13/10/2011 20:31

Hi all! I am hopeless at keeping up lately but I AM coming tomorrow. Should be there by 7:30 or 8:00 as long as the DCs cooperate. Look forward to seeing some of you!

Rubena · 13/10/2011 21:17

Hi all - quicky as I wait for a take away. Knackering week so far and big drama's all round - (when it rains it pour right?) but I really want to try and make it (how could I miss the Vagster's visit!) - lady text me last night and said it was still on. Will have to hightail it back from W Sussex before getting changed and heading in and that's barring any traffic issues or other disasters, so I won't be early if I can actually make it. I will let Lady or Jam know if I have to pull the pin for any reason, but I hope not as I'm dying to catch up with you all. Have only managed to skim the last few posts but YAY congrats Kayz and white light to baby cranial surgery....
And strewth - halloween smileys [hshock]

VagolaJahooli · 13/10/2011 21:24

Kayz that's wonderful news. Sorry my thread didn't update earlier so I only saw up to Effie's post. I bet your DP is chuffed to bits Congrats to both of you.

Beans (maybe you should change your name to doesnotlikeBeans ;) ) I'm with AAA, I like the 2nd one, it seems cosier.

Yay Mom, that's brilliant that we will see you. AAA I've put my number on the message that Jam put up on FB.

Beans36 · 13/10/2011 22:11

The Secret Life of the National Grid BBC4. Anyone watching? DH is. Do I recognise one of our number on it!??

JamInMyWellies · 13/10/2011 22:15

Oh I think its Effie am sure she mentioned it eons ago.

TheInvisibleHand · 13/10/2011 23:35

Kayz - congratulations!!

Vag - I'll be there tomorrow - look forward to seeing you ladies!

LadyT - how is young O's finger?

ZuleikaJambiere · 14/10/2011 08:48

Firstly have a very, very lovely evening tonight ladies, and have a natter for me

Hi Pd good to hear from you. V annoying about DS' tooth, but I'm pleased to hear he's settling in at school

Ouch LadyT poor DD2 and her finger, how is it healing?

How is DD doing now Nolda? I hope she's back on form?

Trace how did your chat with the cpn go yesterday?

Belated happy birthday to the oldest Effieboy, did he have a great day?

How is jury service going AAA? No harrowing cases I hope? I'd love to be called for it, I imagine it to be fascinating, guess it is very mixed if you spend so much time twiddling your thumbs

Yay to little Jolly for sitting up. And poor you with your kidneys still not right - did you have kidney issues before, or was that your liver?

Hope completing on the house goes well today spot, have you found a removal firm?

Haven't you got the project house Beans, did I miss that? How were the trumps last night?!

Loads of White light for your friend Vaj. Are you UK bound now?

Many congratulations Kayz, loom after yourself

Did any of last years pregnant ladies get the flu jab? I've heard we're supposed to have it and wonder if I should get myself booked in?

My weekend off this weekend - hurrah! I'm going away with 8 of my girlfriends to a house in the middle of nowhere tomorrow til Sunday. So excited! And DH has promised to take DD out for chips, so she is even more excited than me. I think I'm ready for the space, I got told to 'sort it out Mum' this morning Hmm

LadyThompson · 14/10/2011 09:47

Just a super quicko as I have NO time - MIL is here....DD2's finger is healing a treat, thank you all. She got off vvv lightly.

Kayz - that is lovely news!

AAA - I could actually get in quite early if that is of interest....I may not stay the night tonight as I have too much to do in the morning so may well have to leave by 10pm

ZJ - I didn't get the flu jab - meant to, but then decided that the risk had receded. I would get whatever the current advice is.

Better dash....

Nolda · 14/10/2011 10:51

Congratulations Kayz! A girl then you reckon?

LadyT - Your poor little DD2. I hope she's recovering from the squished finger.

DD is fine now but is using a sore tongue for negotiation in various scenarios.

Spot and LadyT - I'm getting over my upset with DH now but I think he really doesn't have a clue. We don't go in for full on shouty arguments but I did make my point of view clear to him twice. Sunday was also our wedding anniversary so he could have picked a better day for outrageous selfishness. Overall though, we are getting on much better post-RELATE but I have to confess to a bit of a wobble when DH talks about moving to a new area as part of me is thinking what if....

Have a lovely time tonight at the meetup tonight Vag et al. I'll be thinking of you.

Nolda · 14/10/2011 11:00

Beans - I love the garden in property 1 and lean towards it as being the more modern of the 3 and therefore hopefully less work/upkeep. Number 3 is cute though.

Kayzr · 14/10/2011 11:12

Nolda I hope it's a girl as it would be nice to have a change from planes, trains and cars Grin I know it's an old wives tale about morning sickness and girls but I've never had it before. It's horrid.
