Just a swift and probably incomprehensible iPhone post. In fact I shall make it a list for sake of conciseness. Which is not a word.

  1. Veggie those mother/daughter are clearly MORONS and do not deserve to upset you because they are too stupid to be considered real people. Infact they were probably not real people and just evil aliens from the planet roadrageus.
  1. TY is probably related to them. He is a moron too. Have met him twice recently. The word twat could have been invented for him
  1. Rubs & Beans so lovely to see and your matching sets of toddler & babies. All so cute! I hope though that none of them have a rash because DD was sent home from nursery today - took her to GP and she reckoned skin infection so I do hope she hasn't passed it on. Seems v mild and not troubling her at all mind.
KiwiPanda · 14/02/2011 21:29
  1. DH is taking me (and DD) to Madrid as a Valentines present. He is bestest husband ever.
Beans33 · 14/02/2011 21:44

Kiwi - did DD have a temperature with it?
Who is TY? Can someone do spaced out letters for it?

Have gorged on VD dinner. Coquilles sans Jaques, sirloin steak with bits then Gu choc soufflé. Am fatty mcfat! Brill.

Sybs. Can I help at all? Happy to have one of your nippers for a few hours if you need? X

Oooh lovely Kiwi.

Vag biatches the lot of them. You have so much spirit in your little finger and have moved countries and coped amazingly well. Cow bags.

So is anyone free next Wed for a little London trip?

Rubena · 14/02/2011 21:54

Kiwi - do you remember DS had a blanching rash a week or more ago but it cleared at least a few days before we were there. No temp or anything else. He never got any other symptoms. Hope ds didn't pass anything on, however dh says he was well over it so couldn't have.... (otherwise I wouldn't have met up)

Yum Beans - sounds nice - love steak.

Ooooh Jam - bugger - hope you do another when I'm back from hols.

TheInvisibleHand · 14/02/2011 22:02

Just quickly - syb sorry you are so knackered, do hope things look brighter soon. Do let me know what I need to know re the PM from you (bizarrely I got a blank e-mail) - but obviously whenever things are a bit calmer!

Vag - words fail me. I am sorry they upset you. But they are clearly, utterly not worth it.

Beans TY = T ob y Y o u n g. Seems to have made a career from being professionally obnoxious. Sounds like he thoroughly lives up to his reputation!

Urbs - your sister sounds amazing as do you for your support and loyalty. I am glad the practicalities at least are not going to be a worry

Rubes - I love the FB photo, but I am sorry its all so exhausting. Might be molars - they caught me by surprise both times.

On the whole faith school thing - its the going to a school that roughly represents the enviroment where you live (so if that's pure WASP, so be it). Thing is, in north london, a representative mix would have a few Jewish kids, smattering of muslim, chinese, whatever. I went to a school that was nominally CofE, but was around 20% Jewish (which is what we are) and a good few others. Trouble is, if the faith schools become the norm, we'd have a choice of DD maybe being the only Jewish kid in the local primary (with poor out of school provision in the community for faith based activity because everyone is getting it from their Jewish school), or only mixing with other Jewish kids at the faith school. Neither of which is what we really want. Humph! Sorry, I will stop now!

Rubena · 14/02/2011 22:10

INvis - I reckon you / I might be right about the molars. Just looked it up and says typically between 22 and 30 months - he has all the symptoms - including behaviour in the FB photo Hmm although could also be just turning 2 Confused I might does him up if he's irritable tomorrow and see if it helps.

Rubena · 14/02/2011 22:10

dose not does

LadyThompson · 15/02/2011 00:28

Hello ladies, I'm finding it hard to keep up on the old Blackberry so excuse my brief post.

Vag, I am sorry you had such an upsetting experience. Sounds awful. Sadly there are selfish, abusive pillocks like that everywhere. Comfort yourself with the dual thoughts that you were in the right, and that their kind are in the minority.

Rubes, my bunks plan is simply that I fancy putting the two DDs in together eventuallyn but prior to that it'll be good for sleepovers! It's no plan for a third nipper by stealth, I assure you Grin
Sorry to hear DS is below par, and also that you are sleepless like moi.

Kiwi, I am extremely envious. I super heart Madrid. What heaven.

Invis, I had The Finkler Question in with my VD gifts! Will be going in with me holiday reading.

Sybs - am heartened to hear things on the improve at least with DHMMM

Lookin' forward to covering bits I have missed, it gets a bit annoying posting on the phone, espesh for a chatterer like me.

KiwiPanda · 15/02/2011 06:53

Beans - no, no temp, and already seems to have almost gone. Nursery far more bothered by it than her!

JumpJockey · 15/02/2011 08:04

Invis - again on faith schools - just while dd is watching Timmy Time...! What you describe is basically the same as our dilemma re RC schools - because there are 2 cath primaries in Cam, most of the kids go there and while our church does put on eg confirmation classes, the vast majority of the religious community life is based at the schools. I know a lot of people argue that you shouldn't need a kid to go to a faith school to learn about the faith, since it's the parents' job to do that, but since I wasn't brought up RC I have no idea what's done when Blush

Veg those ladies are clearly appalling examples of Dutch life and deserve to be shoved into a canal.

rubs dd has had v red cheeks again recently, and is quite stroppy (!) then when brushing her teeth I spotted the black briusing on her back gums, worth taking a peek in his mouth to see if that's what it is. The FB photo is absolutely classic btw!

vagolaJahooli · 15/02/2011 08:19

Morning ladies, feeling better this morning, espesh (borrowed from Lady) after an update from you lot.

vagolaJahooli · 15/02/2011 08:24

Oops had to post as phone having a seizure.

I should be at gym but DH has an important call (one of his staff is being a knobend, to use Urbs word of the day) so I'm chilling with DS2.

Rubes, I'm thinking DS2 has a molar coming through, he is easily whingy and just not quite himself. I've almost been expecting him to come down with this virus that DS1 & DH had but I'm thinking that its probably rumbling teeth.

Sorry gotta run chat more later.

waitinggirl · 15/02/2011 09:37

vg - those women were biatches. alas they exist in every culture. you are lovely. pity them.

can i quickly ask... do any of you use term-time childminders - if so, do they charge you some retainer during the holidays? our childminder has suddenly said she is going to charge 1/2 pay for the first week of hols, then 1/3 for second week and nothing after that until the next term comes. does that sound right? the last childminder we used didn't charge for holidays at all, and i presumed this would be the case with this one. to be fair, she is fantastic and flexible and lovely, but it seems odd that we are paying for the privilege of her deciding not to work during the hols.

Rubena · 15/02/2011 11:33

I've finally seen the Sewage episode of Come Outside. Yes because every old lady can ask the worker guys to go down a ten foot drain (with her dog) to check out where the poo goes, right before getting in her conveniently parked plane outside her house Hmm Dear God, give me strength.

Beans33 · 15/02/2011 13:05

I'm yet to see that one!

Am just cooking up a storm for DD2 as I feel like she has far too many packet meals!

Thanks for enlightening me about the journo. I should have guessed really. Have heard before that he's a total anus.

DD1 absolutely fine today and has headed happily off to nursery.

Vag - how are you feeling this morning after your contretemps yesterday?

I have to go and hoover and do some ironing. How I love chores. NOT.

OP posts:
LadyThompson · 15/02/2011 14:08

Aaah, the renowned Sewage Episode! It was only on over Christmas. I got DP to watch it. I have seen it about five times. Can never get over it when she is standing in the sewage tunnel (ugh) and also, how few hoops the water has to jump through before it's back in the taps. Hmmm.

JumpJockey · 15/02/2011 14:16

wahh to sewage - but then again my favourute episode of maisy mouse is the one where Cyril wets himself... "Oh dear Cyril, you really did need to go to the toilet..."

sybilfaulty · 15/02/2011 17:35

Must have been the day for it as we enjoyed Auntie Mabel this morning too. I love Auntie Mabel and worry in case the BBC decide she is just too old fashioned and on't show her again.

Anarchy has broken out here. DDs rushing about like loons fighting over who is going to have a wee next. M is sitting reading a book quietly. I am girding my loins to run and then go out for supper. Am a bit less tired today.

Hope you are all well.

JamInMyWellies · 15/02/2011 17:42

Lachlan has just spread yogurt on his toes and is feeding it to the dog, nuff said.

Beans33 · 15/02/2011 18:45

SO HUNGRY. DIETING IS RUBBISH.

OP posts:
DeidreBarlow · 15/02/2011 18:49

Hello ladies, blimey so much to catch up on after a few days awol!

vag Those loonsShock. How horrid for you, unfortunately it seems one cannot escape idiots no matter what country you are in. I hope today has been kinder to you.

lady How's Egypt looking? Is it still on?

Kiwi Hope DD's rash is okay.

Spot Lovely if your lurking hope you are all bearing up okay. I'm thinking of all of you x

Loving the stroppiness (is that even a wordHmm) of some of our toddlers. rubes in particular I loved that photo of your DSGrin.

sybs Enjoy the run, I've just returned from mine and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Glad to hear you and DH are getting on a little better too.

Ooo and I went to a Zumba class last week. It was brilliant so am definately going again this week. I was totally crap at it but managed to get a fair sweat on though!

I've had a very busy weekend and got completely hammered both Friday and Saturday night which was made so much easier by DS waking at 5.30am both days - not. I've decided I am most definately too old for such shananigans...well for now anywayWink. Am also off on hols next week to Scotland yay. We are staying in a lovely cottage we stayed in last year.

Hello to everyone else I've missed.

DeidreBarlow · 15/02/2011 18:50

Oh jam that is disgusting but very Grin.

beans I am starving after my run, supper going to be about another hour I think I am going to eat my arm.

DeidreBarlow · 15/02/2011 19:42

Last post and I'm out....DS peed on his potty earlier! Complete fluke I'm sure but chuffed all the same.

Rubena · 15/02/2011 19:44

Nice Jam Grin

Sybs also glad things are better with dh

deids I'm the same - too old. haven't been hammered in ages as I handled the following day so badly. I'm more of a little and often drinker.

You lot and your running put me to shame. I haven't done my workout since the batteries needed changing in my arm sensors Blush Jerome will bollock me when I turn the thing on. I'm scared. CSD though getting me through and have really dropped off the intake but still 1 a day has me down another 2 kg so happy with that.

Like night and day with ds. Charm personified today. He did start off the day with some Neurofen, but it can't have lasted all day, though his good mood did. None of that FB photo behaviour even once! Hmm

Then he actually put his cup of milk in back in the fridge and handed me his bowl. Ate 4 fish fingers for tea and 2 helpings of mushy peas! Also a full sandwich at lunch Shock compared to the day before where he screamed bloody musrder whenever I tried to give him anything. I really think it could be his molar/s coming through.

DH on call tonight and a late one he thinks -oh well.
