Hi, sorry I've been AWOL. I feel like we're keeping up on Facebook but it's only superficial details really!

I'm not sure if you saw fraser's stitches? He rode his bike down three stairs but it's been almost a month and it's just a scar now (thank goodness he's a boy).

He turned three last week but I'm having a combined party with his brother (who's turning five) this Sunday. It's knights and dragons themed and I've 12 wooden swords to give out to them instead of party bags.

Rolf · 14/06/2011 11:55

I saw his stitches, and I know it's really sexist but it won't make him any less handsome Smile. Hope he's made a good recovery. The swords are a great idea. T's birthday is tomorrow and we're just having a little family party with bunting and balloons. DD1 is next month and I still haven't decided what to do for her.

We have just ordered 2 isla bikes for our boys - thank you for the reccommendation (ages ago). We should get them just in time for the summer holidays.

Hi Abdn!

The balance bikes are going quite well here too - we only got cheapo Tesco ones though. They are also doing well on their scooters too. We go on holiday on Friday (depending on the chicken pox). Only Esther affected still. Theo and Daniel prob still incubating it, I can't believe they haven't caught it at all, esp T as they do everything together! We will still go on hols, we are camping, we;ll just keep ourselves to ourselves and hope they don't suffer too much. We are only an hour from home so could come home for a few days till the worst is over.

Amber they say 4-6mo is best time to get rid of the dummy cos they forget about it quite quickly. Just take it off her and be prepared for a few unsettled mornings till she forgets she ever had it.

Amberc · 16/06/2011 19:44

I'm scared to not give her the dummy as it instantly soothes her when she's fretting. What do I do when she wakes? That's a serious question!!

Luke's birthday was fab and we had a great party at gymboree which was dinosaur themed. He's got so many presents though. Loads of tat including a plain grey t shirt aged 5-6!!

Going to Wean the girls. Going to do gina ford. I tried some baby rice today and they ate it up. I wasn't going to start until the week after next but do you think I should start now? Got a temp nanny next week as ruths on hols so a bit reluctant.

Hope everyone is well!

HI everyone, well now I think most of us have 3 year olds, hope that all the Birthdays were lovely. We are all well, loved seeing Essie's new baby on FB,still not found a house, did want one but the silly old woman that owned it wouldn't sell to us as she knew that we would want to change it, Confusedstarted work again, supply teaching so I'm enjoying that. Now trying to book a short trip to London this summer
with the 2 big boys and leave Ethan with grandparents but it's so expensive, anyone got any great ideas of cheap places to stay??

Just popped on to see if there is more news on how Dewin's getting on, to see the thread has gone really really quiet! has everything moved onto FB now? maybe all the kids turning 3 has been a bit of a turning point .... I didn't deliberately stop posting but work got completely crazy for a few months and has only just settled down. If anyone sees this, hope all are well and having good summers!
