DG we all really hope 2011 is your year :) And mrsa too - how's the 2ww?
Also not forgetting NC.
So 2011 is the year we all plan hopefully's wedding! We're all lined up ready to be allocated our jobs Grin
We're home from our 10 day jaunt, never did get to see DH's dad as he had flu, but we opened our presents over skype last night.
I feel like I'm coming down with a cold, have had swollen glands for days as my body tries to fight it off, and keep waking up coughing in the night. Thankfully DH has one more week off work, would be a shame to spend it ill but I'll need his help!
Hope you all have lovely new years celebrations :)

Wow, fab mega post DG sounds like you're having a good xmas, which is nice. C sounds similar to A in that she's generally lots of fun but her stops and tantrums whilst decreasing in frequency, are getting worse in 'quality'. We went to the zoo yesterday and for the first time in ages had to resort to reins as she refused to stop and kept running off and not coming back and would not even look at the animals.

Hoping it's lack of routine and she'll be back to her usual self soon. We still use reins on public roads but for short distances and 'safe' places like the zoo, we don't/didn't. I'm hoping the next few months will bring a little maturity as she's ignoring most of our requests atm!

And thanks for the thought Carrie AF arrived today, oh joy. Quite sad as I conceived C 3 years ago this week. Thought it might be a repeat this year.

Quick qn - do your LOs remain obssessed with one or 2 tv programmes only? C refuses to watch anything but peppa, charlie& lola and Something Special. Does she has OCD do you think??!!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 31/12/2010 10:51

stops = strops

becaroo · 31/12/2010 10:58

We have had alovely christmas. Robyn was a bit overawed at first but soon got into present opening. She ate loads of turkey dinner and was veery happy all the time. Even ds was happy and tantrum free.

Dsis had a bad time, her cat got diagnosed with liver cancer a few weeks ago then on christmas morning she had a stroke and was put down. Sis was distraught so xmas dinner wwent up in smoke and it was a few days before she could talk without crying. She'd had her 15 years and she was a lovely cat.

Had the tantrum day from hell yesterday. Robyn just cried over everything and we had full-on screams and tears. She is happier today thankfully.

I hope you all have a good new year's eve, we are watching inception and finishing off the christmas food

ninjinglebells · 31/12/2010 22:27

Happy New Year to you all!!

Digi - you sound really well. I agree it's a lovely age with loads of development. I hope 2011 is good for you.

meglet M has worn snow boots for 2 months now, I tried to put her normal shoes on her today and she screamed. Sometime I don't know why I bother with shoes for her, she spent all summer in crocs and now all winter in snow boots or wellies!!

Off for a walk around the reservoir tomorrow to see in the new year. I'm hoping that I can make it to midnight :)

ninjinglebells · 31/12/2010 22:30

Oh yes and MrsA it's Peppa or Ben and Holly here. That's what Sky Plus does for you ..... you mentioned 3 programme, you're lucky Wink

Kagey · 31/12/2010 22:36

Thought I would get in early to wish you all a very happy new year as it's doubtful I will make it to midnight zzzzzz

Debs75 · 02/01/2011 11:43

MRSA robyn loves Peppa Pig and Ben and Holly and Humf so we can go the whole day just on nickjr, she is easily pleased. Thankfully she likes watching darts so isn't too annoyed when dp switches over.

My washing machine has packed in so I have to go buy some pampers for Robyn and Lucy and hope the engineer can get out soon. Luckily we still have warranty on it or I would be off to the sales for a new one.

lollyheart · 02/01/2011 12:33

Happy new year Smile

We had a fab Christmas too, Frasers is obsessed with fireman sam. I hear him sometimes singing " sam is the hero next door" Grin

I'm on the 2ww again, I'm not holding out for much hope tho as this has been a strange cycle, spotting half way through.

Another one of us had a baby new years eve, I'm not sure of her name but I'm sure most of you have her on .

lollyheart · 02/01/2011 12:35

I'm on my phone sorry for the mistakes, and it should of been on facebook.

notcitrus · 02/01/2011 16:08

Aw, thanks for the good wishes Carrie and becaroo! Have spent the last couple weeks erm, reguarly working on that Blush but at least MrNC didn't tell his rellies to push off so we could shag in quite so many words...

A has mostly been great over the holiday but I think will appreciate some nice boring routine and going back to nursery. He stayed over at a friend's house on NYE and slept beautifully (11 yo babysitter was a bit disappointed! Her mum was in the house too, don't worry!) but he and dn were having meltdowns by dinnertime yesterday. I'd had to bail on the excellent party I was at by 1am, just too tired and my toe hurt.

Potty training will probably be a project for this year - A's started exclaiming 'I;m pooing' in a surprised voice when he is. And yesterday pausing in the middle to state "This is very hard!" before concentrating again. :)

Only one more day before returning to work, and lots to do before then...

CappuccinoCarrie · 02/01/2011 19:24

Ooh lolly who had a baby? One of my RL friends had one on NYE too.

Just gone up to a crying DS in bed "the scary snail is going to eat me!" Err...no snail, and no its not. What an imagination.

Debs75 · 02/01/2011 23:14

Meglet · 03/01/2011 09:27

lollyheart · 03/01/2011 09:44

She only seems to have digi as a friend .

I will search for her name as I forgot what it was, im not sure she posts anymore, she came to the London meet up with us when we were pregnant.

Back in a tick Smile

Meglet · 03/01/2011 10:09

oooo, do you know what I am going to do as it's the New Year? I am going to be really good and weigh and measure the DC's and record it in their Red Books.

I swear DS is still growing despite it being winter.

DebiTheScot · 03/01/2011 15:08

will be interesting to know what your dd is meg, I weighed ds2 yest and he was 2 stone 1lb with clothes on (about 12.7kg) which puts him between 25th and 50th centile. I thought he was small and am convinced he hasn't grown for about 6 months but he's obviously not too bad. I keep meaning to measure them and put their height on a door!

Meglet · 03/01/2011 15:40

debi DD is 12.7kg and 87cm. I think she's grown, but she's still just under the 50th for height and over the 50th for weight. She will probably start stretching out in the summer, her brother was portly as a toddler now he's gangly!

Lanky DS is on the 40th centile for weight but on the 75th for height. He's going to be a beanpole!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/01/2011 19:01

Happy New Year everyone Smile

Good luck with the 2ww lolly, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Funnily enough we weighed ds the other day. He's 2 stone 4lb and was 97cm tall. I have no idea whereabouts that is on the charts though.

I think it was Meglet who asked about ds's pre-school. He's doing 2 mornings a week and I think each session is 2 1/2 hours. I'm bricking it tbh. Luckily it's only a few hundred yards away from our house which makes me feel better about it all.

DebiTheScot · 03/01/2011 19:44

sometimes I wish I wasn't so nosy and keen to look at other people's fb photos. I've got a friend who I've not seen for years but we sort of keep in touch still. She has a baby girl who is vvvvvv pfb. She is 9 months old, was only just under 7lb at birth and doesn't look big now, she always has a cusion behind her when sitting in photos and has just had a photo put on fb of her in her forward facing carseat. Surely if she's not that stable when sitting up she shouldn't be facing forward?
Or maybe mn has just made me judgy and I should shut up. We did actually put ds forwards at 9 months as he was too long for the rearfacing one and was a v big boy.
