Right then ladies, who's up for it? What day would be best and where would you like to meet? I can do any day really, but will have both DSs with me if we meet on Monday, Thursday or Friday.

katzguk · 07/09/2005 21:39

me me me me

snap any day for me too but would have both dd's if meet on monday, tuesday or friday.

mandymac · 07/09/2005 21:55

I'd be up for it, just me and dd. Somewhere trainable would be good for me. I can drive, but have yet to tackle motorway with dd onboard.

katzguk · 07/09/2005 21:58

oh should add needs to be trainable for me too, i can drive but not up to roundabouts or motorways!

eastyorksmum · 07/09/2005 22:29

Ok id be up for it but has to be trainable for me too will only have william with me.

tribpot · 07/09/2005 22:41

mandy, just a quicky to say although I am not based in Nottingham (I currently live in East Anglia) I am often there, so will keep you posted. I grew up in Radcliffe before my parents moved over to Derby when I was 13. Thus a bit confused in the whole Nottingham V Derby rivalry

Anyway, am aiming to become a northern Junie again soon, I think Coop and I are the only eastern Junies and she's in Cyprus!

mandymac · 08/09/2005 08:50

Hi Trib

I am not from Nottingham originally, so the Notts/Derby thing goes over my head to. I'm from London originally and have been up here about 11yrs. Mind you North v South London, different thing entirely . I'm Sarf Larndun and DH is Norf, so we fight about which is best, of course having the west end, hampstead, soho, nottinghill and most of the tube lines, I think he has a bit of an unfair advantage - I can only really counter with Greenwich & Blackheath, Clapham, Brixton ?! - you can see where I'm coming from.

Would be good if you gave me a shout when you are visiting Nottingham, I'm only 5 mins from city centre in car.

eastyorksmum · 08/09/2005 09:16

Morning trib and mandy hugs

Ive been to Nottingham before nice place. went on train lol three if I remeber.

Im orginally from Hull but have sisters all over the north one in Rotherham who is expecting her first baby due in Nov, and the other in Manchester who is getting married in Nov lol all go with my family.
Be great william having a cousin nearly same age.

Aaaargh! Have been terribly stressedtrying to juggle allmy currrent obligations. I do anticipate slowing back again next week, so count with me on the meeting too! Shall we try sheffield this time?
Any week day is fine with me.
How about the week of 26 to 30th of Sept? I vote for the 28th....

katzguk · 08/09/2005 15:58

Hi, sorry its taken me so long to join in. Count me in too!!!

Lua · 12/09/2005 12:45

All right,
so we have the 27th and the 29th,left on that week?
Can anyone not do on the 27th?

Also,are we sticking with Sheffield?

JonahB · 12/09/2005 19:01

I can do either....

eastyorksmum · 13/09/2005 12:28

27 th probably better for me but i can do the 29th too, and where sheffield?

MrsWednesday · 13/09/2005 13:26

I can do either too, and am happy to go to Sheffield. If I don't have DS1 with me I can collect people from train stations if need be.

OP posts:
Lua · 13/09/2005 13:38

I suggested Sheffield because it seems somewhat in the middle of all of us, but don't know it at all...

I was hoping Katz would suggest a place....I think she did mention some winter gardens close to the station?

I think as long as we all can agree on a date, place will be easy to decide last minute.

ANYONE AGAINST THE 27TH???

MrsWednesday · 13/09/2005 13:50

27th is good for me.

OP posts:
JonahB · 13/09/2005 17:44

27th is fine with me too....

eastyorksmum · 14/09/2005 15:12

Hiya ok the 27th is fine with me too, just been looking at train times.

Lua · 16/09/2005 15:49

All right, so let's stick with the27th.
Now,katz are you around???

If not, maybe we should change to Leeds?

katzguk · 17/09/2005 17:23

i'm back!

27th i've got the dentist but i can change it!! meeting you lot much more fun than a filling!!

tribpot · 17/09/2005 20:17

You'll like this, northern ladies, whilst trying to persuade dh that the north is not as grim as he may think:

  • we had the worst weather to go househunting in (although I think it was bad here too)
  • on the Bradford ring road we saw a rag-and-bone man on his horse and cart
  • in Otley today we passed people doing bizarre country dancing, sort of morris dancing but dressed in black and yellow rags?!

OTOH, dh has lived WAY north of Yorkshire, in Stockholm, so I am sure he can adapt.

Anyway, obv 27th out for me, but will soon be a northern MNer officially, and available for jaunts.

Lua · 17/09/2005 20:32

Good to see you back Katz!
Now.... tell us where are we meeting?

Trib - So did you finda house?
