saus pneumonia doesn't sound good Sad. And poor M too with tonsilitis. Hope you feel better soon. Were you poorly for your anniversary?

flippineck · 15/11/2010 09:38

sausage that's crappy. Hope you are feeling better now, or at least very soon.

A is still ill, and now DD1 is too. Off to the docs again today, they're both coughing like they've been smoking 60 a day for 50 years Sad.

I've put my first review of my prize coat on the review thread. Changed my name in case any RL people look on there...name is two words, first word is the season that will be starting soon.

Hello everyone else!

poor Dandy and Sausage and Flip's DDs. Sounds crappy indeed.

Dandy no wonder you are feeling low and frustrated with the BP situation. The good news is that you sound like you are being looked after by your Drs. Sending you lots of get well soon vibes

Dandy so sorry you are feeling so down at the moment. BP problems does seem unfair considering your current fitter self. Sometimes these things are unexplanable but very frustrating. Last year I had a weird rash all over my body and felt sick for 3 months and went to the Doc and hospital so many times but noone could tell me what was going on. Its the 2nd time I have had it so it will no doubt come back at some stage. I hope they can sort it before you fly Sad.
I agree with everyone else to not feel guilty about saying no to Jack and Jill. It is not your problem. End of.

We have 3 weeks left till we fly to NZ getting pretty exciting....

momino · 17/11/2010 22:48

Sausage hope you're feeling better and getting rest. Flip, ditto for your little ones and hope you're holding up ok.

Dandy, I echo the others in saying 'no' to taking the 3 year old. it sounds like you know that is the right thing as well, just don't feel guilty about it! I have a hard time getting my three out of the house the 4-nearly-five-year-old is the worst, I have to drag her kicking and screaming downstairs to breakfast. we've not been late yet but I feel angry every morning leaving the house after begging, shouting, etc at the older two. H isn't old enough to take responsibility for being a pain on the school run (or is she Hmm). Mornings are stressful, don't add to it. Hope you can relax about your BP soon.

Febes almost to NZ! hope you're having a lovely time (I know you are!).

Tumm, how are you coping with the DH away? you sound so calm, so together. I know my DH comes home late/leaves early but not sure how I'd cope with him actually being away. gosh, i'd have to do both dog walks as well as handle the three LO's .

speaking of DH's, we've had Big News today in that my DH is being made redundant Sad. right before christmas. not a great redundancy package either. he's being optimistic about it by saying it's an opportunity to do better things but then lapses into 'why me', etc. not much else to say about it but please keep your fingers crossed he finds something soon!

everyone else, hello! Hope everyone else is fine and will check back later. x

Just a quick post from me.

Momino so sorry to hear your news. Fingers crossed that your DH finds something soon. Many people find that redundancy brings with it exciting new opportunities but it can be a rollercoaster ride. Are his employers ensuring that he gets plenty of time off to look for work? I must also add that your description of your morning sounds just like ours...

Sausage I hope you are feeling better. Crikey.

Dandy I hope you are feeling better too, and I do hope you are sticking to your guns. The more I think about it, the more I think they are really taking the piss. Sorry to be so blunt.

Febes you must be feeling so excited right now. We should have a leaving party. Can someone summon sexybuilder?

Only 8 weeks or so until I finish work. I can't wait!

Evening all,

Sorry have been AWOL for ages. Its a but hectic here at times, as I am sure you can all imagine. However, we are all doing fine. The DTs are back to birth weight and are still in the lovely sleeping alot first two week phase. Am knackered though as Rufus is up in the night again. To be expected I guess with the new arrivals.

dandy I meant to reply to your AIBU about the school run post a while back but I see you have it sorted now. Totally agreed with everyone else's comments about it, FWIW! I will join you with high bp. Mine has not gone back to normal yet and in fact was waaayyyy high two days ago (170/110). I had been a bit slack and had run out of the medication that day and then asda also had run out of it so I went 36 hours without the drugs. I could actually feel it lying in bed aswell which was a little alarming. Tingling in my hands and I could feel my heart pounding. Hope BUPA sort you out.

momi sorry to hear about your DH's job. What a worry.

Sending get well soon vibes to all the DCs who are poorly at the moment.

I've been keeping up to date as much as I can on FB with everyone. Its great you all are good posters on there! I will put some new DT pics up in the next day or so.

to everyone and apologises for not NC everyone.

Dandy Grin, how'd you do that?

Smokey, great to hear from you! can't imagine what it's like for you, hectic?

all, thanks for the thoughts and advice, especially from those who've 'been there'. llare, I'll ask him about getting the time to look for jobs. I think he saw HR today and got more info but he's home late tonight so not sure what transpired.

I will try to summon sexybuilder, I think that's a great idea, llare. Shall we start getting dates together? I'm free next friday 26th?

Hello ladies :)

Sorry for the long absence. Life and broken interweb connection has got in the way of proper MN'ing. Not good!

dandy so sorry to hear you are having such stress and worry over your health. Hope the consultant appointment proves constructive. Glad that you sorted the school run situation. Sounded to me like they were taking the piss big time.

momi so sorry to hear about your DH. As others have said, my fingers are crossed that it leads to something bigger and better around the corner.

smokey am also Shock that you have just apologised for not being around. Your boys look beautiful and your birth story... WOW! Superwoman :)

Hello febes I too have been following your adventures on fb. Sounds fab and bet you are excited about going to NZ and seeing your family (esp sis and those twin nephews) of yours :)

llare not sure I said but well done on the resignation. Exciting times ahead :)

saus sorry you and M have both been ill. Hope you are recovering now.

flipp hope your DD's have both recovered now. Thought of you the other day as I was at Colchester zoo for the a school trip. Its a great day out if you haven't been.

tum hope you have had a lovely reunion with your DH.

Hello to everyone else, belg, banned, ses, pula and anyone else who might be reading/I've missed

Sorry for the terribly short choppy catch up sentences! Am trying to write everything down while I remember it

Life is good here - am 16 weeks tomorrow Shock had my first consultant appointment where everything looks good. No sign of the gestational diabetes yet but have to have a GTT just after Christmas to check again. A is being a little angel and so entertaining at the moment - she doesn't stop talking though! DH and I tried to count up her words and it is well over 150!! Her latest thing is singing songs - Old Macdonald and Wheels on the bus are particular favourites although she gets the two muddled and demands sheep on the bus and wheels on the farm :o

Oh and dandy HOW did you do the pombear emoticon. That thread had DH and I crying with laughter.

momino · 19/11/2010 20:15

Running, I can't believe you're 16 weeks! I'm so excited for you.
llare, meant to say earlier, best wishes for finishing your job and new beginnings!

not doing much here but drinking a martini and internet socialising (how sad I am). Hope everyone is well.

runningmonkey · 19/11/2010 20:24

Thanks momi. Well if you're sad, so am I. Am catching up on MN, fb etc and oggling welshmen watching the rugby while DH is at the pub on his monthly 'Dad's night out'. All that's missing is the martini. Maybe I'll have a soda water instead

momino · 19/11/2010 20:47

'salright, RM, I'll drink your martini for you Wink!

momino - sorry to hear about your DH and hope he finds something else soon.

It may seem a bit trivial to mention it now, but i am Angry with DH who has an annoying habit of putting pens in his back jeans pocket, and these tend to just leak and ruin his jeans. However, tonight his black ink pen has leaked on the cream sofa seat and side cushion Shock. He says he's cleaned the stains out but i'm not so sure he's been that effective. Will have to see how it looks in the morning - if anyone has any wonderful cleaning tips i would be very happy to receive them. I'm avoiding him by staying up late watching CIN.
