5.30? Ouch! I had to go and put DD's duvet back on at 4.20am then DS woke the street her up at 6.20 and they've been up ever since... Watching Monsters Inc now so might finish my cup of tea and have a nap on the sofa.

Hope your DP has a good time cyteen and comes back a bit more chipper.

I'm having a good day already - DH has been tidying and hoovering! In return I am abandoning him with the kids at lunchtime to go for a shop, sauna and swim with BF.

morning. mine are up early too. why? grrr

V quiet on here today and the weather's not that good. DC have still had splashy fun in the paddling pool though, and Jon Holmes is back on the radio so all's well in the hotter house

got the final parts of dd1's school uniform and she insisted on trying it on.. que bawling from mummy, she looks so little in her big uniform sob sob...

trip to park, lunch at pub, got dad off to airport.. phew.. dd2 still messing around with her food.. tis very trying... anyway waiting til bed time!!!!

Just checking in again, my dears as we're still moving between the house west and home, where we only have electricity in two sockets. no lights etc.

There'll be great progress in a week or two though and we should lose the hour-long commute to school then which will be great.

I'm still hungover after a 3:30am bedtime. A Tidy Towns history and music session last night was truly fantastic. My idea of absolute heaven. A shame that Tim couldn't come, but as he said we'd need a babystander to mind the kids as we have nowhere for anyone to sit.

Cyteen-in the year before dh trained as a teacher he was as down as your lovely dp seems to be. I didn't believe that all of that upset could be job-related but it really was. From the moment he left he got his self-esteem back. Hoping he'll find a way forward soon. I am so excited about your wedding.

LovelyLentil how we miss you during your forced exile - I am happy to see you here, however briefly :) It's interesting to hear that your DH has been through it too. I just wish DP would give himself more credit, and also be more decisive (so does he, tbf). He is such an amazing man and has so much to give...he's just scared of taking the plunge into something in case it's not the right path, esp since he feels bound as the provider. But I did point out last night that providing a good life for us means being a happy DP/Daddy/person more than any amount of comfy cosy stuff.

We'll work it out. I am determined!

loti I would be in floods at that as well. Sorry to hear of food woes with DD2; DS has been very picky of late, which is unusual for his gannet self.

Had NO chance to MN all day as was busy busy busy - took DS to allotment, friend came round to photograph the rings, nipped to supermarket as cupboards were bare, and then had two of DS's little mates over to play in a semi-party style. He was an absolute peach at bedtime, good as gold - no tantrums over bath. bed, putting pyjamas on - and super cuddly :) I do love that boy.

Now I am ensconced on the filthy sofa watching Twat Factor and eating crisps.

dd2 slept til 7 woo hoo, barking like a dog tho but managed a bit off brekkie!! dd1 however didn't bother to go to sleep til 9 and up at 6..WHY???

She starts school on the 13th, have home visit from teacher on tues ekk and goes in for a hour on fri .. think it might me a long phaze in!! will post pic of her in her uniform on fb when i get a sec ,,

There is something wrong in the world when the 14 week old in my life is still sleeping but the 2 year old was awake at 6.30.

We went to the local carnival last night ot watch the floats. DD1 was a pro at putting her pennies in the buckets and ended up chasing a fireman down the road because he missed her with his bucket.

Red - good to see you, hope things move along quickly and you are home again soon.

I don't suppose anyone remembers me saying I had bought a dress and was pinning the stupid hanky hem to make it straight, well that was 22 June and I have just sewn it up today Looks good now, but when autumn arrives in spades tomorrow it will be all my fault...

DD approaching fever pitch of excitement as it's her first day at proper school tomorrow There won't be any super cute uniform pics as there isn't a uniform but I will still be up half the night sewing nametapes on. My baby she's going to have so much fun! It just means we will have to entertain Thor all day instead of leaving them to it.

Of fto the park to burn off some energy and give my dress an airing while it's still nice out

oh my god i am demented with these girls today .. they have done no stop fighting and taking it in turns to whinge arghhhh..

last night i applied for a job!!!! have finally given myself the wake up call i need i that i cannot devote my entire life to my girls, love them to death but i need more.. have no hope of getting this job but felt that it should be my first step out there!!

Have even considered the possibility of becoming a primary school teacher ..
