Welcome to the latest thread for mums of babies born in March ( and a few in Feb and one in April!).

Come on in. Find out who'll be pg next and who's weaning onto what.

BMI also M & S have a pair both in autograph and limited collection that MIGHT suit?

Sariska · 30/09/2010 21:57

Scooby, are you shopping whilst also ignoring DH? Hmm, hmm?

angfirsttimer · 30/09/2010 22:08

Shock at the fanjo flaps thread PD !!!

BlueyDragon · 30/09/2010 22:36

Sariska, crawling! Agggh! But well done to mini sariska. Alex isn't going anywhere. He can roll but doesn't, sits well for quite a bit but hasn't figured out anything beyond that. I seem to spend so much time feeding him he doesn't get much time to kick around. We went through all this with DD who didn't walk until she was 15 months which was good in hindsight but you know how you just want them to master the basic skills "on time".

He has learnt one new skill though which is teeth grinding - yuk. I would be quite impressed as his four teeth don't actually meet anywhere so this has taken some working out but the noise is hideous.

Melk, I wish you a good night's sleep and that everything looks better afterwards.

Pixie, good to hear you're feeling better even if you have got to sew on elastics.

Hello anna!

SmacsGonePotty · 30/09/2010 22:42

Yay annamama glad you made it back to see the MMMs Grin

DizziDoll · 01/10/2010 09:20

Morning Ladies,

OMG, this thread is moving at lightning speed again. I just can't keep up!

Pixie 4 pairs every 8 weeks? Time to teach DD how to sew me thinks :)
You sound like you are coping marvelously without DH. Next thing you know he will be back home messing up all you have done this week Grin.

Bluey I get shivers just imagining the sound. It must be quite funny as well though.

Donttry If the boots don't fit around the calves (always the case with my), I would recommend Duo Boots.

RE night feeding , PD & Melk - It sounds like you are having a pretty hard time with it. My DS also still feeds 1-2 times at night for about 30 minutes and then goes back to sleep without a problem. I also think he shouldn't be needing the night feeding anymore, but it would take hours to get him back to sleep and I just don't have the energy at the moment. I remember DD sleeping through for the first time at 9 months, so I am waiting until then before I take any drastic actions.

I have had another interview with Gartner and I think it went ok. I now have to have a telephone interview this afternoon with one of the top bosses to convince him that I am 'Top Talent'. TBH, I know I haven't been as it's impossible when competing with men who can work all hours of the week. So I will have to lie exaggerate. Wish me luck!

SmacsGonePotty · 01/10/2010 09:23

good luck dizzidoll Grin

PacificDogwood · 01/10/2010 09:31

Good luck from me too, Dizzi!

I am off to work today as well to reset all my passwords - all 9 of them Hmm...

Dalrymps · 01/10/2010 10:09

Morning ladies, I've been gone too long usual, have skim read the last part of the thread and feel comforted that we are all experiencing similar 'challeges'.

Sleep, still not too good... Some nights he wakes 5 times, some nights once. No rhyme or reason as to why?! Last night he slept some of the evening on my knee then when we went up to bed with him at 12 he fed and reduced to settle till 2 despite much White noise on iPhone/ rocking/ leaving him a bit/ more feeding... He then slept till 4.45 and then fed and slept till 7. Not too bad in the end but not brilliant either!

Weaning going ok, doesn't always want to be spoon fed so despite my huge fear of him choking am having to offer finger foods more than I'd like as that's what he seems to prefer. I really agree with the whole idea of blw, am just scared he'll choke and when he gags I panick inside despite smiling calmly. I think this is because 2 christmasses ago my brother laughed whilst drinking and it went down the wrong way which then caused him to cough and be sick and he chucked and passed out. My sils were quick and VCR him the hiemlich (sp?) manouver and dislodged whatever was stuck. Anyway, it really badly affected me as I totally panicked and now I have a 'thing' about it...

Oh god, the DVD won't work and Dylan wants ghostbusters/toy story/ cars on and I can't get them to play... It's gonna be a long day!

angfirsttimer · 01/10/2010 10:17

dalrymps can I recommend you read the gill rapley book on blw if you haven't already it's really reassuring about choking/gagging. Can understand why you are worried but 4 weeks in my ds hardly gags at all even with a huge piece of purple sprouting broccoli half way down his throat!

Dalrymps · 01/10/2010 11:26

Ah thanks ang, I have the book but have only read 'the first bit of it will have to get on and finish it!

Astounded at the amount of spelling mistakes / weird random words in my last post. Doesn't help that my iPhone 'corrects' half of what I write and past a certain point I can't see what I'm typing grr!

Hey Pixie! Grey grey grey here Sad does make me feel a bit cosy though Smile

I found Miles a bit more settled if we manage to get him to eat baby porridge before bed but doesn't work everytime and he doesn't always want to eat it...

Have a hot pain that keeps coming and going in my boob. I thought it might be a blocked duct or the start of mastitis (never had either so just guessing) but when I feel my boob can't feel any lumps?! Any ideas?

Dalrymps · 01/10/2010 11:54

Btw, I've had it since yesterday evening...

Pixie. I've nothing on can I come swimming? Maybe I'll go to fab wooden toy shop and buy a present for the one year olds party we're going to tomorrow. Can spend £££ in there... Third one year old in a week.. I know what their parents were doing New Year 2008/9!!

I've just finished the final muffin recipe of the week - bacon and cheese. Yum.

Is raining hard here and I've got to go and pick all those apples up off the lawn. Boo!
Dalrymps sounds horrid hope it isn't mastitis? How's the bottle feeding going?

TooBlessedToBeStressed · 01/10/2010 12:15

i am mumsnetting,i have 11 days autumn holiday from my norwegian class so its party time, well, not really,,but its a little bit of a break especially with the cold weather,,

evitas · 01/10/2010 12:17

Good morning all

Pixie yes a miserable day in Edinburgh.

Anna nice to see you again. I've been looking at your blog

Sariska Shock crawling?! We still very faraway from that milestone.

Dizzi good luck!

DH and I had another chat yesterday. Things are getting better.

Have a lovely day
x

Dalrymps · 01/10/2010 12:20

Oh I hope it's not mastitis, I have a feeling I'll be a total wimp about it. It's the 'bad' side so I don't fancy feeding lots off it to clear it Sad

Siamese- the bottle feeding is not going, at all... I tried him once more a week after cold turkey and just decided it was too stressful and have bf since.. I still get sore now and again (just had a bad few days). He's starting to take water from his sippy cup though and holding it himsel so hoping that might be an option.

My sil gave birth to a lovely new Bruce yesterday, going to visit her tonight, can't wait. Will be weird to compare my 6 month old to a newborn, where did the time go?!

Dalrymps · 01/10/2010 12:23

Ha ha ha he he he, NOT a Bruce, a niece Grin
