Welcome to the latest thread for mums of babies born in March ( and a few in Feb and one in April!).

Come on in. Find out who'll be pg next and who's weaning onto what.

Oh, Jaffa cakes are like crack. I think it's because they're very light, you need to have at least three to feel like you've eaten anything at all.

Arcadie, which Davina DVD are you doing? I've had much success with her workouts over the years.

How are you doing today Pixie? Wednesday's practically over already :)

SmacsGonePotty · 29/09/2010 15:53

annamama has gone cold turkey with MN Grin she's working at home and the girls are doing well. She says hello to everyone.

Cold turkey with mn? I can't imagine the willpower that would take. (Addicted, me? Non....)

PacificDogwood · 29/09/2010 17:02

Sorry I missed the live-chat; I'll try and hang around tonight Grin.

We are just back; boys' school had 2 in-service days, so they are only back tomorrow.

Currently in car-unpacking-, dirty-laundy-washing-, getting-boys-fed-and-ready-for-school-frenzy, so toodles, for now!!

That Mila thing is freaky. DH now wants to try it with Simeon though -

SmacsGonePotty · 29/09/2010 19:25

I think the Mila thing is lovely. The mother is so creative and Mila will have a lovely record of her first year with the pictures.
I think it's another marmite thing - love it or hate it/think it's freaky.
How was Crieff Hydro pacific hope you get your money close to your chest at all times Smile
I am really, really chuffed as I've just found out I have a 12 week winter let on my self catering cottage so that is nice very welcome boost to funds . Treating DH to takeaway curry to celebrate!
DD2 slept a bit better last night but woke up at 5am having soaked through her nappy/vest/babygrow and sleeping bag Sad she is still reacting to disposables and I had run out of the cloth ones I normally use at night that can take a lot of padding. As she feeds a lot at night she is a really heavy night wetter. I'm still experimenting with night nappies as this is a new thing for me. What do you use at night flip and don'ttry ?
Wonders how shroomer is getting on

Arcadie · 29/09/2010 19:38

Smac I have for the first time in 3 children gone back to disposies overnight as Simeon soaks through everything and I NEEEEED unbroken sleep! With DS1 and DD it's been motherease with an extra microfibre booster.

Hey you - I'm going to try a Davina DVD to cope with the aching muscles from yesterday's run... I'll be back in about 3 mins I suspect.

Arcadie · 29/09/2010 19:47

OP posts:
Arcadie · 29/09/2010 19:48

hi pixie hows it going?
Did you go house hunting in Norfolk or are you leaving it to DH? There are some amazing houses out there with soooo much land - its such a big flat county! My parents always complain when they come to my hill in Yorkshire - they arent used to it!

siamesecatwoman · 29/09/2010 19:54

arcadie the Davina DVD I have even the warm up is too much for me!

Arcadie · 29/09/2010 20:11

Ok 1 warm up completed. One half of the super fit done. Sans impact for I no wish to knacker the knees. Maybe a phone call to my Momma before I attempt the other half. I KNOW I Know.... I'm suppose4d to keep my heart rate up but hey it's nearly a year since I last put Davina's DVD into the machine. I can pace myself right!?

Size 10 is MASSIVELY skinny. (in my book)

Do you not mainline cake and peanut butter sandwiches? Maybe that's where I'm going wrong!

Siamese - for some reason despite Yorkshire being crazy hilly, York is as flat as a pancake. (Apart from University hill :( for students!)

BusyMissIzzy · 29/09/2010 20:23

Cake sandwiches? Confused

angfirsttimer · 29/09/2010 20:25

pixie I am around as DH is watching the bloody football. Used to be able to feign interest in it, afterall its how DH and I bonded when we were just good friends, however I have no time for it now! Hope your day was ok pixie.

Mmmmmm Jaffa cakes........

dont try I was a bit Hmm about the Mila thing, I read her FAQ's and she gets the sleeping baby out of the cot and places her still asleep in the 'picture' then takes piccy and puts her back again still asleep - STILL ASLEEP people!! I cant even begin to move my DS even to adjust his sleeping bag or car seat strap etc without him waking!!

In yet another attempt to get DS onto formula, we tried it in DOidy cup, his eczema flared up immediately and had to take to docs it was so red and itchy. Wierd as he has had that formula before with no reaction. I am at the end of my tether with trying to stop BF, he wont take a bloody bottle and now he appears to react to the formula GAH!

Anyway enough whingeing

Arcadie v impressed at the DVD. My NCT group and I have decided to try to do our own version of buggy fit, we have said will do friday morning, but I fear the mearest sniff of rain will send us running to starbucks rather than round the park!!

siamesecatwoman · 29/09/2010 20:27

ah yes i remember that now. we lived in york for 6 months over winter in 2003. i was gobsmacked how many times it flooded! But i will also always remember walking through the city in the snow one very quiet evening, it was like a film set with just a small urchin asking for money under a street lamp.. (my mind may have added some romantic details to what may have been a big issue seller..)

Im a size 16 bottom now ive had DD, i always used to be 14 all over and was happy as im fairly tall and well built, ive never been unhappy with my body before but now i dont like my wobbly belly, my stretch marks and the fact i cant find anything nice to wear on top while im still bf.

BusyMissIzzy · 29/09/2010 20:31

I'll hopefully join you in a few minutes. Just hoovering.

angfirsttimer · 29/09/2010 20:33

siamese I know what you mean about nice tops now breastfeeding. I live in vest tops and long cardigans now. Bought a lovely jumper dress recently in some vague hope that I wont be breastfeeding at some point in the not too distant future.
BTW you seem much better at those HFW muffins than I am. They stayed really soggy when I tried them (the carrot and spinach ones) whats the secret?

siamesecatwoman · 29/09/2010 20:37

ahh ang ive just figured that out myself - the muffins in the silicone tray were soggy, the ones in the metal tray weren't. you need to leave them in the tray for a while and not take them straight out to cool. And the egg size wasnt specified so i used small to medium ones (nx door's chickens :) )

I wear vest tops too but after looking back at some recent pics i dont want to anymore! My boobs give the impression of being very unsupported... how i long for an underwire!
