Was the news about the fox attacking two children upstairs fabricated?

Was the news about the fox attacking two children upstairs fabricated to bring back fox hunting?

If so, how much are they paid to carry out such a story, and should we investigate the corrupt and fake governments which are supposedly in charge of many countries?

Should Max Clifford Associates, PR, promotion & protection specialists be closed down?

And finally, why are people so gullible that they believe such made-up stories that are so terrible they belong in fairy tale land? Are people being drugged? What is the matter with these gullible sheeple of the world?

It's terribly embarrassing to think about my fellow human people like this.

. Off you trot.

Sakura · 15/06/2010 12:38

YOu know, that's exactly what I thought. I live abroad and I heard this bloody story about a fox on BBC world. I thought that's strange because dogs have been maiming children and I haven't heard those stories on the news, only off mumsnet. So why is this fox so important...
They want to bring back fox-hunting don't they, I says to myself..
A total conspiracy

scurryfunge · 15/06/2010 12:39

Elvis did it

wannaBe · 15/06/2010 12:40

pmsl.

annh · 15/06/2010 12:41

Get back to your blog John and research it somewhere else. Do I understand that you think our government is "corrupt and fake" (and run by Max Clifford?) and set this up? You may be embarrassed to think about your fellow "human people" like this but we are embarrassed to have you on here!

Katz · 15/06/2010 12:41

yes because a fox attack in a city will result in bring back fox hunting in the country - or is the aim of this to get fox hunting allowed in the borough's of London?

maktaitai · 15/06/2010 12:41

do you mean how much was the fox paid?

in my experience, when you're thinking how crap other people are, especially in faux-naive rhetorical question formats, that's when you need to start looking at your own character.

Sakura · 15/06/2010 12:42

Not saying it's not true. Just wondering why it was reported on BBC World, which only reports news that's relevant internationally, normally..
And why it never reported anything about the children who were maimed by dogs...
Actually BBC world generally only reports anything stuff about the US..
Except for this fox story

Wordsonascreen · 15/06/2010 12:42

Tally Ho !

Sakura · 15/06/2010 12:45

Err, the OP is against fox-hunting, no?
As am I.

DuelingFanjo · 15/06/2010 12:47

I don't think it's fabricated. i do think the reaction was extreme though. Hopefully the whole thing has died down now. At one point it did seem like foxes were the new paedophiles.

gobsmackedetal · 15/06/2010 12:48

LOL DuellingFanjo

HerBeatitude · 15/06/2010 12:48

I think it was aliens

coolma · 15/06/2010 12:50

I'm actually really intrigued as to why anyone thought it was fabricated - what started all that off?

MissTrumpton · 15/06/2010 12:50

Its because the fox attack is the worst and most brazen fox attack so far, so its unusual, therefore newsworthy. You have to be killed by a dog for it to be newsworthy as dog bites attacks are relatively common. The same way that a bus crash is newsworthy but a car spinning out of control and landing the driver is hospiatal isn't.

In England, serious injury by wild animals is incredibly rare, injury from domestic pets isn't. See the difference?

Francagoestohollywood · 15/06/2010 12:51

Lol I totally agree with DF. I'm against fox hunting, hunting in general, btw

Lauriefairycake · 15/06/2010 12:51

this is surprisingly poor taste for mumsnet

these tiny weans were facially disfigured you know

toccatanfudge · 15/06/2010 12:51

Sakura - it was probably on the world news because it was so rare, whereas (sadly) attacks by dogs are much more common

annh · 15/06/2010 12:51

LOL at "how much was the fox paid?"

Francagoestohollywood · 15/06/2010 12:52

look at the daily mail...

MissTrumpton · 15/06/2010 12:52

The family have 24hr police protection now.

protection against animal rights activists, not foxes

Alouiseg · 15/06/2010 12:55

I was initially sceptical and wondered if it was a dog attack.

So far it seems to be a fox attack, nothing has come out to contradict that. But I actually wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a sick cover up.
