I've been hearing this all day on the radio. I can't take the suspense any longer. They are going to affect the lives of 'every one of us'

I feel like a person wincing and clenching my teeth in anticipation of the big fuck-off needle the school nurse is wielding, and I'm next in the queue....

Come on then, what's it going to be?

At the risk of being like a dog with a bone I'd just like to point out to mamatomany just what good value some of her local services are. I've just had a look at my council tax bill last night (well the footie was on; they were a bit rubbish frankly) and the amount paid to my local Fire Authority is a whopping great £70 a year. I'm not sure you'd get decent insurance cover for that would you? And even over a whole lifetime it's still less than the £10k you said you'd be happy to pay if your house burned down.

Anyway hopetoday's a little brighter for you mamatomany.

As you were.

..Ah Sunday Times... www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/politics/article7149006.ece

You couldn't make it up any better... adverts still out there for Brighton four new "strategic directors" on £125k a year each. Vacancies elsewhere totem pole artist, putting people first programme manager and London empowerment partnership coodinators and head of city volunteering.

The pubilcation of the Coins (all public sector spending down to paperclips) for the first time ever is supposed to help see where money is going apparently.
