All the talk of another election in 6 months made me think I may provide a lefty birth! Does it mean I can't pay for a private room though

Also just spent two hours without an iphone/laptop playing up. Scary especially since I'm going to be out most of the day with hosp appts

ImSoNotTelling · 11/05/2010 10:06

meercats makes me

MmeLindt · 11/05/2010 10:08

I blame the press at the moment for the collective hysterics that the country is having.

If we had been well informed BEFORE the election that coalition talks could well take weeks rather than days, then the expectations would be different.

DH keeps shaking his head at the TV. Not laughing and pointing (yet)

ImSoNotTelling · 11/05/2010 10:09

hahaha

someone just rang the wright stuff () and said they want a referendum on which coalition to have

Proles - your mum sounds fantastic

MmeLindt · 11/05/2010 10:16

lol at Proles's mum

Here is something else for you to laugh at.

AC's blog entry on the interview yesterday.

I was somewhat taken aback to be the only Labour figure trending on twitter an hour or so after the announcement and the reason - Adam Boulton - was trending all night. Justin Bieber eat your heart out.

Adam gets very touchy at any suggestion that he is anything other than an independent, hugely respected, totally impartial and very important journalist whose personal views never see the light of day, and who works for an organisation that is a superior form of public service than anything the BBC can deliver.

I leave you to make your own judgement what our interview yesterday says about that. I did not have time last night to read the hundreds of comments on here, Facebook and twitter, but the kindest seemed to suggest he needs a rest - we all do - but the bulk seemed to feel his ranting and raving might suggest I had a point, which I made - for me - rather calmly.

GetOrfMoiLand · 11/05/2010 10:19

Lol at Justin Bieber eat your heart out.

Confession - I went on twitter and joined last night, then retreated as I didn't bloody well understand what I was supposed to do.

I am supposed to be an intelligent person. I design aeroplanes. But I can't work out twitter at all. I tried to follow alastair campbell but there were about 5000 of 'em.

am afraid I am fick.

The markets
The markets
The markets
The markets
THE MAAAAARRRRRKKKEEETTTSSS!!!

I had to turn 5Live off this morning before I contracted Marketitis.

I liked the right wing talking this morning of the left parties forming a "rainbow alliance of the defeated"

I hope that's what they call it, I think it would appeal to the British sense of irony. In fact, it's a bit like Pop Idol - The Tories are Hear'say - they technically won, but the others band together to make something more successful! The lefty rainbow alliance in Liberty X!

PfftThePinkoLeftyDragon · 11/05/2010 10:31

Am twitter luddite

taffetacat · 11/05/2010 10:36

pmsl @ toriesaretoast's evocative description of Hameron clinging onto Clegg's leg, wailing

ImSoNotTelling · 11/05/2010 10:37

Oooh v v impressed at designing aeroplanes

I'd love to do something like that

Beachcomber · 11/05/2010 10:40

Rifkind being very disingenuous on BBC News trying to paint the LibDems as fickle, sneaky and 'two timing' - WTF.

We need a sensible European to come on the BBC and explain what MmeLindt has said here as Rifkind doesn't seem to understand the issues at stake.

PMSL at power hungry Tories embarrassing themselves by clinging to the LibDems - they know this could put them at risk for evermore if the LibDems get what they want re PR.

theyoungvisiter · 11/05/2010 10:40

Your mum wants to be careful, Proles.

Imagine if Osborne blocks the plumbing - he won't be only person drowning in piss if that happens.

theyoungvisiter · 11/05/2010 10:41

PS ashamed to say I am somewhat of a twitter luddite also.

What is this "trending" of which I hear talk? Does it just mean that the chattering classes are chattering about that particular topic?

AndieWalsh · 11/05/2010 10:41

lol @ Liberty X

I would pay to see Ed Balls in a shiny catsuit and bowler hat, twiddling a cane:

'Work it a little, meet in the middle, give me a little bit mooooooore'.

Best way to find your feet on Twitter is to follow someone you know and work from there. I am mmelindor so search for me then have a look at the people I follow. Once you have a few folk on your follow list, you can expand from there.

Sometimes someone will RT retweet a post from another poster, and I will have a look at that person and perhaps follow them.

To refer to another poster use @ (eg. @mmelindor) - which everyone will see and to write only to them write D (for Direct Message)

Do download Tweetdeck, it makes it MUCH easier.
