My wish for today is that as many people as possible GO OUT AND VOTE.

I cannot vote as I have been living abroad for over 15 years so if anyone wants to vote for me, I would like to vote for Gordon Brown. Voting by MN proxy

As it stand now DC will have to fight hard to get anything through. Even if you don't agree with Tory policies - how does that situation (with any party) work?

No, somethimes there is only one party there, it really doesn't matter, it's just for the parties' local records

Secret - they use numbers just to check they are getting the vote out in a particular area. also, if you are a known x supporter then if you havent got out to vote by early afternoon they will use the data to phone you and encourage you to get out and vote.

One thing I've always wondered about is why they cross-reference the list with your name and address on with the number on your ballot paper? Doesn't that mean someone could check to see how you've voted?

It's alright, there was just a flurry of posts willing Labour to win - made me feel like a gatecrasher, as anyone except Labour would do for me.
