Just starting this so that we can all post our thoughts throughout the day.

My wish for today is that as many people as possible GO OUT AND VOTE.

I cannot vote as I have been living abroad for over 15 years so if anyone wants to vote for me, I would like to vote for Gordon Brown. Voting by MN proxy

Sorry, is this thread for Labour voters only? Is there another one for the majority of us?

ASecretLemonadeDrinkerDAVE · 06/05/2010 22:25

Was I supposed to go to the blue lady? (voted Conserv.) Terribly worried I have ballsed something up

DreamsInBinary · 06/05/2010 22:25

Sky only now coming to the story...

Will change channel

duchesse · 06/05/2010 22:25

Delightful older LibDem supporter friend had thought up a brilliant Lib Dem support badge: A picture of a basket and a bottle of a wine, and the slogan "Just Pick Nick". I thought it was inspired.

PortBlacksandVoter · 06/05/2010 22:25

As it stand now DC will have to fight hard to get anything through. Even if you don't agree with Tory policies - how does that situation (with any party) work?

bratnav · 06/05/2010 22:26

No, somethimes there is only one party there, it really doesn't matter, it's just for the parties' local records

MmeLindtChocBrownies · 06/05/2010 22:26

Gaelicsheep
I think there are all sorts on here, tbh.

Even DP posted early on.

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 06/05/2010 22:27

gaelicsheep

PortBlacksandVoter · 06/05/2010 22:29

Gaelic sheep - Mn tends to be lefty leaning in general but seriously - there are all sorts here...

DreamsInBinary · 06/05/2010 22:29

Did DP post? I missed her.

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 06/05/2010 22:29

The markets open at 1am tomorrow??

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 22:29

Secret - they use numbers just to check they are getting the vote out in a particular area. also, if you are a known x supporter then if you havent got out to vote by early afternoon they will use the data to phone you and encourage you to get out and vote.

TheHouseofMirth · 06/05/2010 22:30

One thing I've always wondered about is why they cross-reference the list with your name and address on with the number on your ballot paper? Doesn't that mean someone could check to see how you've voted?

gaelicsheep · 06/05/2010 22:31

It's alright, there was just a flurry of posts willing Labour to win - made me feel like a gatecrasher, as anyone except Labour would do for me.

PixieOnaBallotBox · 06/05/2010 22:31

Why Piers Morgan?

Cartoose · 06/05/2010 22:32

What on earth do you mean gaelic sheep?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 22:32

theoretically House. there are strict rules to ensure that doesnt happen.

ClaireDeLoon · 06/05/2010 22:32

Why have they got Bruce Forsyth? How ridiculous

Cartoose · 06/05/2010 22:32

Oh sorry x-posted

bratnav · 06/05/2010 22:32

Nah LD girlie here

PixieOnaBallotBox · 06/05/2010 22:33

Piers Morgan, though. At least Bruce Forsyth has catchphrases.

MumofOscar · 06/05/2010 22:33

I was wondering that too House. Glad you asked coz i waz feeling a bit fick!

ASecretLemonadeDrinkerDAVE · 06/05/2010 22:34

Bruce??? Errr... ok.

Cartoose · 06/05/2010 22:34

I know, first Piers Morgan then Bruce Forsythe. Who next, the cast of the Muppet Show?

BeenBeta · 06/05/2010 22:34

Bumper - yes the UK Govt bond market is opening at 1.00 am because the result is a crucial determinant of what happens to the UK budget deficit and debt.

However, turmoil in US and European bond and stock markets today is likely to be the main focus on trader's minds. I just read on another blog that City bank workers have been ordered to come in across all markets tonight.
