Just starting this so that we can all post our thoughts throughout the day.

My wish for today is that as many people as possible GO OUT AND VOTE.

I cannot vote as I have been living abroad for over 15 years so if anyone wants to vote for me, I would like to vote for Gordon Brown. Voting by MN proxy

OP posts:

can't stand Michael Gove !

i LOVE THE SUNDERLAND BIT.

oops.

AbsOfCroissant · 06/05/2010 22:10

I nearly had an overwhelming urge to punch Michael Gove in the face. Used to love his column though.

I think what's happened is that people have gone back to what they know, so abandoned lib dems. However, there's still a while to go.

VoidofDiscovery · 06/05/2010 22:10

Like the FT, most postal votes were cast at height of LD boom, faint hope

jkklpu · 06/05/2010 22:11

Can anyone remember what the 1992 exit polls said? Were they as misleading as the polls during the campaign?

MumofOscar · 06/05/2010 22:11

Thanks for your answers while i was googling
And someone beat me to it with my link. No-one asked me though so I'm just going to ignore the exit poll.

MmeLindtChocBrownies · 06/05/2010 22:11

Very weird. Where are the lib dems?

FlorenceandtheWashingMachine · 06/05/2010 22:11

It ain't over yet.

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 06/05/2010 22:12

What does this all mean though? If it is hung, doesn't it mean that GB gets first dibs at forming a government? Does it matter that the conservatives have a majority?

DreamsInBinary · 06/05/2010 22:12

Cannot decide between BBC, Sky & C4.

Quick poll as to which is best, please?

VoidofDiscovery · 06/05/2010 22:12

They won't have a majority bumper, 19 short

Cartoose · 06/05/2010 22:13

I can't believe that exit poll is anywhere near accurate.

ASecretLemonadeDrinkerDAVE · 06/05/2010 22:13

who votes in these xit polls? Someone with a red ribbon took my voter number outside the door of the polling station - I hope it wasn't for this poll, because a blue lady approached me too but red got there firs t

Madsometimes · 06/05/2010 22:13

Where's Peter Snow and his swingometer (stamps feet and has a tantrum).

Jeremy Vine is not doing anything for me.

MumofOscar · 06/05/2010 22:13

I'm switching between bbc and c4. Hate hate hate jimmy carr though so the beeb is winning.

NoahAndTheWhale · 06/05/2010 22:14

I also love the vim and vigour at sunderland

Cartoose · 06/05/2010 22:15

Wad'ya think about a deal eh Nick?

NoahAndTheWhale · 06/05/2010 22:15

Now they are discussing lib-lab pact and then conservatives not getting anything.

AbsOfCroissant · 06/05/2010 22:15

Yes, GB gets first dibs as existing PM. However, the Queen can overrule him and appoint someone totally random (if memory serves. I'm just WAITING for the phone call)

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 06/05/2010 22:15

Oooh BBC explaining the rules.

gaelicsheep · 06/05/2010 22:15

The thought of Brown still being PM after a result like that makes me feel sick.

BertieBotts · 06/05/2010 22:16

Do we know the percentage of postal votes? I guess not until the other votes are counted.

MumofOscar · 06/05/2010 22:16

Abs

tougholdbird · 06/05/2010 22:16

The exit polls may have concentrated on lib/tory seats to try and get a flavour of labour backlash. The tory/lib seats may not be as well represented and lib-dems total rise as results come in

Cartoose · 06/05/2010 22:16

OOOhhhh will there be another election within 12 months?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 22:17

sorry Abs, I think you'll find she has me in mind.

am sticking to bbc else its too much input.
