April 22nd TV Debate

I'm going along to be in the audience this Thursday for the Sky News TV Debate - it's being filmed in the South West, although it seems we're not supposed to say exactly where for security reasons.

Would people like an official MN behind-the-scenes report afterwards?

Should I break the rules and heckle/cheer loudly at a strategic moment, and if so then when?

If I'm allowed to ask a question should I go "off-script" and ask about biscuits?

Is there anything else I should think about?

New question: pensions.

Wow, she looks great for 84!

MmeLindt · 22/04/2010 20:55

Good question, Grace.

CaveMum · 22/04/2010 20:55

Hurrah! Someone with a real Bristolian accent at last!

"ROFL at morningpaper saying DC looks like cillit bang salesman -
"Bang! and the poor are gone!""

ROFL . Should be quote of the week.

DC a bit obsessed with people "doing the right thing". What exactly is "doing the right thing?"

Bumperliouzzzzzz · 22/04/2010 20:56

Again with 'the right thing' DC, WTF does that mean?

morningpaper · 22/04/2010 20:56

I think he was saying "Women - and you are one of them - who have been royally shafted by the current system"

MmeLindt · 22/04/2010 20:57

Do the right thing

What is he on about?

morningpaper · 22/04/2010 20:57

"If you are saved, you are not punished"

If you are POOR....

I don't really like Gordon but I preferred his answer to DCs

thatsnotmymonkey · 22/04/2010 20:57

who made that system though?

FabIsGoingToGetFit · 22/04/2010 20:57

er, looking after yourself and not expecting the state too, for one.

CagedBird · 22/04/2010 20:57

"I got a letter" really Nick, did you.

deepdarkwood · 22/04/2010 20:57

DC is pushing a rather strong moral standpoint this week - people who don't "do the right thing" seem to deserve everything they get...

CUNextTuesday · 22/04/2010 20:58

DC - a policy coming to fruition in 2016 may not be a lot of help to Grace perhaps

sfxmum · 22/04/2010 20:58

doing the right thing = being conservative
apparently

because the (feckless irresponsible)are not worthy

Pendulum · 22/04/2010 20:58

"the right thing" again.

It is them and us. Or us and them.

Let's sort everyone into one of two boxes.

MmeLindt · 22/04/2010 20:58

Erm, I don't think that they need to give Grace dignity. She seems pretty dignified to me.
